Love little squares, great for kids so not so easy to get choked, They have faster service the most pizza places, love the style sausage they use.

Went there with family yesterday. Pizza was tough, undercooked, and had burnt something’s on bottom. When it was mentioned to a worker and we were told the next time they’ll be sure to cook it better. After an evening of heartburn and family having grumbling stomachs had to post. Sorry, won’t be a next time. Too many good pizza places in Cincinnati to try. Life is too short to eat bad pizza.

DON’T EATHERE, DIRTYWORKERS, NOGLOVES, UNPROFFESIONAL, BADATTITUDEANDPOORLYMANAGED. Its a shame because it was good a long time ago. NOTANYMORE. Ordered a pizza and salad at about 8:00. When I arrived the girl says«I made the wrong salad can you eat it anyway» I said no because it had many things we don’t eat. So she yells to workers making the food«She won’t eat it you have to make another one» with major attitude. After getting the food I cams home and discovered they made a pepperoni instead of the sausage we ordered. As a business owner myself I know people make mistakes but it’s really how you handle it. I called and they said to bring it back. Then the manager calls me back and says they will not make a new one and hung up on me. REALLY! I was going to let my kids eat some salad while I took it back to get my money back and the salad had huge peices of brown disgusting lettuce. So they messed up my salad and pizza and blamed me and we don’t eat pepperoni pizza. The tattooed and dirty guy that refunded my money told me not to come back. Don’t worry buddy. Remember how Cassano’s was when you were a kid? This is the only one around that still bakes their pizzas and sandwiches in an oven, and not on a conveyor belt. This is not a corporate store, so it’s not part of the toll-free 888294 King phone number system. So hop in the Time Machine, order a medium supreme and a small sub with extra pizza sauce all well done, and relive those special moments at Cassano’s in Fairfield, Ohio!

Best pizza chain around IMO if you are looking for thin crust. I’ve never eaten inside. I just pick it up. Sad they don’t deliver though.

Disgusting. From the taste of the pizza to the flies pecking at my face while eating. Overall horrible experience. The pizza, as best I can describe it, is close in taste to the cheap frozen Totino’s pizza. There was little to no sauce, so paper thin it was as though it were like a wafer. The crumbled sausage was a good idea, but just looked like a mess on the pizza and out of proportion to the pizza. As for the interior, as someone else noted — -it looks like there has never been an update. The salty looking workers present a gruff service at best. My advice: Stay away.

The pizza would taste better if they would scrape and dust the inside of their oven. I worked for Cassano’s for two years, so I have a bit of insight into how the operations are supposed to be run. This location seemed an odd location and seemed to be run by a family. As you can see by the photos I added, it looks a bit like a 1970s bar. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it could use an update. As I walked to the counter, a woman asked me if I had already placed an order, and I replied that I had not. Apparently, I look like a pick-up kind of person, as I’ve heard this elsewhere. When I asked if they had the Cassano’s lunch specials, I got a quick«No!», as if I was evil. The tone of voice was that of a person who didn’t want a repeat customer. I ordered a 9 inch Deluxe and a fountain mountain dew. It came to $ 11.74, which is about $ 2.00 more than any other Cassano’s locations charge me, including the franchise in Eaton, OH. Wow! She poured the drink into a large plastic«glass», which was probably 24 ounces but contained a lot of ice. I didn’t ask about refills after her reply to my lunch specials question. After about 10 – 15 minutes, she brought the pizza to me with a small paper plate. The pizza looked a bit odd. I wasn’t sure why but I think it had less cheese and the sausage was broken into smaller pieces and covered more area. It seemed as they substituted ingredients from a supplier other than Cassano’s. What tasted off was that the pizza had no salt(Cassano’s way instead of using flour) on the bottom and instead, had black areas where burnt product had not been cleaned and removed from the oven. I love Cassano’s pizza but this wasn’t up there. The woman who initially took my order seemed more friendly when I was on my way out the door. Maybe, she was upset that they were working on Good Friday. I really couldn’t say.

the pizza is USUALLY amazing. Sometimes it’s a little off, but what can ya do? The service is usually pretty awful except for the guy with the tattoos. There’s some older guy who is always there and he’s probably one of the most rude people i’ve ever met. I love their pizza though, so i can handle dealing with a jerk for a couple minutes to enjoy some good pizza.

This must be a local favorite and is not recommended for out of towners. We rolled into Fairfield, OH and wanted some pizza so we relied on Unilocal to direct us to a local joint(we prefer to support the locals over the chains). After reading the positive reviews and high ratings we thought why not. True: It looks like a dive. We had no problem with the dive charm. In fact, we like that. It was self-order counter style, seat yourself, watch pizza being made, get your own drink from the fridge, juke box and simplicity. All good. True: Greasy pizza. Yes, this is also true. It was not THAT greasy but we didn’t get pepperoni which would add grease if we did. False: Best Pizza. NOT, NEVERAGAIN, EPICFAIL. It was interesting to read the review from Tosha M about eating a lot of pizza and this place being the best. My significant other and I are pizza junkies ourselves and up for trying new pizza. It would have been nice to know what kind of pizza Tosha prefers. One of our favorites is Dewey’s(originated in Cinci but expanded throughout OH). Had we known that Chef Boy R Dee was a comparison to Pizza King this place would have been out for us. Seriously, this is the 2nd worst pizza of all time in our travels(the number one for the record is Sunset Grille in Cleveland Ohio). There are all kinds of pizza and Cassano’s was worse than Little Cesar’s $ 5 pick up and go pizza. The crust was like a think pita bread, barely cooked and the sauce was flavorless. We got extra cheese after spying on a regular pizza and that was a good move. However, it would have been nice if they cooked the pizza for 5 minutes longer so the cheese was brown. Our crust was barely done. We ate around the edges, tried the garlic bread that was suggested(and that was a 5 out of 10) and then wished we had Jennifer D.‘s address so we could have dropped our leftovers off at her house. Maybe the locals love it, but if you are from out of town go someplace else. Dewey’s is always a great choice.

This past Saturday again took us to the Mt. Healthy area to pickup our car that was being serviced the day before. After dropping it off the day before we took advantage of the situation and stopped for lunch at Pit To Plate BBQ. On our repeat visit to the area we decided to drive a little further north into Fairfield for some pizza from Cassano’s Pizza & Subs. The name sounded a little familiar when I found it using the mobile Unilocal app, and with a lot of favorable reviews I figured it was worth a visit. Cassano’s is a chain based out of Dayton, Ohio, but this operation of Cassano’s has been independently owned and operated since 1982. As other reviewers have said, it appears that the inside of the place hasn’t been renovated since opening. Upon walking in you can view the open air kitchen area on the right through some tinted glass and immediately past that is the counter where orders are placed. On the opposite side of the restaurant are about a dozen or more booths and tables. There are also some beverage coolers toward the back of the space that I didn’t notice until I went searching for the restroom. My wife and I agreed to order just one pizza, a large«Mom’s Big Cheese» — pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper, and double cheese on top. After I paid for our pizza and drinks, we found a spot at one of the booths and within ten minutes our pizza was ready. Our sixteen inch pizza was cut into a ton of small square slices. The crust is really thin, crisp, and salty. The sauce was good and there was a ton of cheese covering all of our toppings. Both my wife and I really enjoyed this pizza. It reminded me of Donato’s, which is based out of Columbus, Ohio. And not only because of the similar way the pizza are cut, the taste was also familiar. With that said I preferred the finished product from Cassano’s over Donato’s. I don’t know if I would make a special trip for this pizza, but if you are in the area(Jungle Jim’s perhaps) this would be a great stop for lunch.

i’m craving it right now. too bad i’m in tucson arizona. i love the little squares of cheesy goodness that make up one of the best pizzas i’ve ever had. the crust is amazing, with a light dusting of corn meal on the bottom; the sauce is rich and plentiful. yes, it’s super salty and yes, the place itself has seen better years, but memories of my childhood rarely get better than this. *wiping a tear*

Cassano’s is one of only two reasons I’m happy to live in Fairfield. Let’s start by saying that this place is a dive. The Dive-y-est dive that ever dove. But that’s part of its charm. From the outside, I probably would not consider this place if I didn’t know what treasures awaited. I have been eating this pizza since I was a child, and I have grown to love it more with every passing year. If you like salt? You will LOVE this pizza. The crust is thin and salty… the sauce is tangy and amazing. The cheese is just right and… I can’t describe why I love it so much, but I DO. Let’s talk about the garlic bread for a second. It is without a doubt the most tasty, garlicy bread that I have ever laid tastebuds on. Give it a chance, if you hate it, you can bring the rest of your pizza to my house… and I will gladly devour it. :)

I ate here as a kid, so it holds many good memories. Not because the food or pizza is great, because it isn’t, but it’s been here a long time, so they must be doing something right.

I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my life– A LOT– and I’ve eaten pizza from NYC to Cali from Chicago to Austin to yes, even Italy itself. This is the all-time greatest pizza I have ever eaten. For over 20 years I have craved this pizza, which can get depressing considering I no longer live anywhere close to the chain, however I never visit Cincinnati without ordering at least TWO pizzas, no matter the length of my visit(haha yes, that includes weekend visits– I did say that I ate a lot of pizza). The crust and the sauce is a perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and salty in my mouth. I’ve always explained to whoever happened to be around while I was eating that this pizza is phenomenal at the 3 crucial stages of pizza-eating: piping hot out of the oven, once its cooled, and when its cold. And you notice subtle differences in the pizza at each time. Its even great re-heated(sometime I rarely do with pizza– I just feel it loses it taste). If the greasiness is a problem for you, just use some napkins to dab it away, but better to be greasy than dry and bland. I have also had the good-fortune to visit many of the Cassano’s chains and you can take my word for it that the Fairfield location makes a perfect pie each and every time. As for the atmosphere of the restaurant, personally, I enjoy it. Its very casual and there is a jukebox along the wall and I always make sure to play the same three songs I’ve played since I was 5. Perfect place to get a pizza, enjoy a beer, and relax. Oh, and make sure you eat the corners of the pizza– they’re the best part =)

Pizza doesn’t get much better than this! We love ordering Cassano’s Pizza and bringing it home. They cut the thin pizza into approximately 2″ squares and whomever is picking up the pizza gets to eat the corner pieces on the drive home. It is a greasy pizza, but that makes it all the better in my book. Our favorite is the traditional pepperoni. The crust is very thin and has some kind of seasoning on it. It usually is a little over-cooked on the bottom, but that makes it nice and crispy and delicious. They do have a restaurant that you can eat-in at, but it is always packed, so we typically just call ahead for pick-up. You can see their menu at . Our only compaints about Cassano’s is that they don’t deliver and on Sunday they don’t open til 4pm. Learn more about Cassano’s at this site:

Fantabulous greasy pizza. I ate at Cassanos growing up at least once a week. We would run in, grab a table, and order a large pizza. Cassanos is one of the first area pizzas that came cut in squares instead of the traditional triangles. Cassanos is based in Dayton but we frequented the Fairfield location. We always ordered the thin crust pizza(they also offer a hand-tossed variety) topped with pepperoni and sausage. Cassano’s is traditional pizza. It’s saucy, it’s cheesy, and there isn’t anything fancy or gourmet about it. Don’t miss out on the Garlic Cheese Strips, whatever you do. They are more or less crescent roll strips topped with a ton of garlic butter and melted cheeses. Yum! Cassano’s restaurant is pretty generic, red tables and chairs and counter service. It’s a great place to take kids because it’s very casual, quick, and laid back.
