I love Chilibomb. My love for Chilibomb all started when my co-worker decided to bring me to Chilibomb on a hot summery day. I got the Jack Me Up burger. It was soooo good. That week I had Chilibomb 3 or 4 times. From then on, it was my go to restaurant if I was ever hungry in Fairfield, or I needed to get dinner before going to church. I love Chilibomb. It’s my dinner every Wednesday night, and let me tell you, it never fails. It always hits the spot. I usually get the Jack Me Up burger because it’s just so delicious, but sometimes I’ll get something else; I have never had a bad meal at Chilibomb. From chili to Mac and cheese, Chilibomb creates good food. I have probably eaten here 20 – 25 times. Plus, the lemonade is good, especially when you add a fruit twist. The staff know me pretty well know, because I’m a regular, haha and they’re always nice. The fries are spot on. Chilibomb is the best, and I always recommend it to friends and family.

Sooo tasty. I usually get the Texas Tingler over brown rice. They have fresh toppings to choose from and even vegetarian options! Homemade chips and vegetarian options, and gluten free pasta were a surprise to me, but how great is it that this chili place tries to be inclusive? One of my favorite lunch spots for a no-fuss, tasty, hot meal.

Pasta perfection. Friendly staff, great service. I come here with my boyfriend all the time and we’re never dissatisfied. My best friend has a gluten allergy and they offer gluten free pasta. Thanks guys, you rock!!!

This place is as good as advertised: They make good chili. My gf and I are huge fans of getting chili from here then going to five guys and getting fries and then assemblying awesome chili cheese fries at home. It may sound like alot of work, but it is worth it given how good the chili is.

This was exactly what my stomach needed at just the right time! It claims to be comfort food and they are right. I feel so much better about myself after being comforted by the Mac and cheese! I can take on the world now. Owner Pete is awesome!

Never again. This was a while back now. We were talking with friends and family about Chillibomb after we heard they opened. We drove by a number of times and they have a sign out front«best …» burger, mac & cheese, fill in other food here. Fine. You got our curiosity up. My wife and I went with 2 other couples. For being so new, the place looked almost like a group of children ran crazy around there right before we got there. Chairs facing all different directions, stuff on the floor, etc. But they were dead. We ALL found their cutesy /psudeo outrageous menu confusing. After we got our PHD, slide rule and took notes we figured the menu out enough to order. I wish someone started a stopwatch — but you never think that kind of thing when you’re going to try a positive new food experience in a seemingly unique place. We sat there and waited for our food to be ready for us to go back up and get it. For the low level of the food(burgers, dogs, fries, mac n cheese, etc) we were all SHOCKED by how often the TINY microwave was used in preparing our dinner. It seemed like every single thing was made in the single microwave oven. There was nobody else there and yet things were going in and out of that poor little microwave like they were serving an army. We had numerous, full conversations about various topics and STILL no food. BOY I wish someone was keeping track of how long we waited. But it definitely was a very long time. After a long, beep filled wait. Some of our food started coming out. Food for 2 people. Another customer walked in the door and stood, staring as blankly at this menu as we did, for a good five minutes. There were at least 3 people«working». Food for 1 more of us was ready. The new customer got to order. A few more minutes later, food for 2 more of us was ready. My food was last. Two more customers came in. They were laughing at the menu. We were also laughing at the menu. Several more minutes passed. My food finally came out. So we all had our food. FINALLY. Various burgers, dogs, fries, chili and chili varieties. Not beef wellington, not souffles, not coq au vin — just basic food. It was not good. The temperature was inconsistent, the food was very dry — it pretty much ALL seemed like left overs from 4 days ago that was rushed into the microwave and not stirred. It was insanely hot in some places, almost cold in others. It was truly unpleasant in every way. If memory serves there were 3 burgers in our group. ONE person liked theirs. One person liked the chili baked potato they got. Virtually everything else left us shaking our heads. Talking about it later we all agreed we wouldn’t go back even if it was free.

Amazing, the people working there were nice and the food was great. I have been looking for a place that dose not hold back on the spice and I can now say I’m happy to have found my comfort food spot.

Food was good and arrived hot. Store was clean and cool for the summer. Service was mediocre. Employees having their friends in the store chatting and hanging at the register while customers are eating in the store is usually a no-no. Finished my meal and they were still there the entire time talking loudly and watching youtube on their phones. I understand it was slow, but maybe if your going to hangout while you work you should probably do it in the back.

Yummy burger! Service was good. They were patient with our kids ordering. My daughter’s burger was too rare for her and they redid it no problem.

Food is mediocre. The place itself is dingy. I loved going to mac daddys before it closed. There has been a lot of change in that small plaza and some how chili bomb stays open. Not fond of the food or the service or the expense. So many other great places to eat in fairfield. Even my mom who loves chili cannot stand to sit in there and have lunch. Everything was just eh. Wish there was a no star option.

Well, my husband & I were on our way home tonight with our two children and thought we might try Chili Bomb. I had heard some good reviews. Our experience was not a positive one. For one, the employee at the front counter was extremely unprofessional & rude beyond belief; definitely not there to serve customers. I don’t know how an establishment could hire someone like her! We were planning on eating in and finally received our food after 15 – 20 minutes of waiting. There wasn’t even a lot of people in the place. I took one bite of my bacon blue burger and it was clearly not cooked properly. I had ordered it well done, but ended up being medium. That is a far cry from well done. I returned the burger quickly, expecting for them to make me a new one quickly with an apology. Again, the front counter employee could really care less and within 15 – 20 minutes my family was done with their food and my burger was nowhere’s to be found! I requested my money back(again with an attitude) and the register stated a return of $ 7.43. She gave me back the wrong change & said I shouldn’t complain over it. My husband clearly got upset too and confronted her. Well, Pete,(owner) you might want to re-consider who you have working for you! She calls herself a manager too! I don’t know how a business like yours could stay in business!

I stopped here when travelling through CT a few months ago. I was a little disappointed that they did not have any Cincinnati Chili. So I asked for the spiciest chili they had. It wasn’t spicy enough for me — but it was very tasty. The serving was huge! The potato was huge. I’m a big guy and walked out stuffed! I had a nice conversation with the owner about everything from his restaurant experience to P90X workouts. I even got myself a Bombsquad t-shirt. I like this place. Good value, good food — I will definitely return.

After the first time trying chili-bomb I’ve had recurring chili-bomb dreams. The vegetarian sweet potato chili is amazing — I’ve had it over baked potato as well as over french fries and it’s spectacular every time. I look forward to trying one of their macaroni and cheeses. Sincerely, a chili-bomb addict.

I still can’t not understand the one star reviews of this place except for the one with the disgruntled employee…(rolleyes) Some say not enough chili in the bowl? I don’t see this either! ChiliBomb is great! Always flavorful and the Cinncinnati style chili over spaghetti still rocks it! I had it again today and was as good as ever! As Pete says«It’s Delicious!»

Let me start by saying that I know I have higher standards than most when it comes to food and I accept that. In regards to CB I have worked in similar kitchens for a few years so I know what happens back there and what it takes to make things well and what it takes to screw things up. This kitchen appears to have no guidance or training. There is no respect for the food. I have no idea why this place has so many positive reviews. Every time I have ever been here has been a miserable experience. I just went tonight because I had a $ 20 voucher so I figured free food is better than food I have to pay for. I wish I went the paid option at another establishment. I figured I’d try their new chicken options and got a Buffalo Chicken sandwich with tomatoes, lettuce, and bleu cheese. I thought I read it was a wrap because that makes more sense to me to have on a menu in a place like this. I even ordered it as a wrap and was corrected that it was a sandwich. Skeptical already, I got a regular hamburger bun(which was not toasted or even warmed up) with 3 children’s size chicken tenders(that looked like yesterdays school lunch), topped with coarsely cut lettuce(half spine), SUPER thick tomato slices and a handful of bleu cheese crumbs(no mention of crumbles on menu and one would think they would at LEAST put it under a salamander to melt the cheese a little if they were to pull that stunt without dressing). I then ordered a chili dog with onions. Maybe I was a fool for expecting finely diced yellow or sweet onions because I got chunks of RED onion the size of quarters on my hot dog. The only thing they did right was split the hot dog. The rest I would be embarrassed if it came out of my kitchen. Sorry for expecting ACTUAL chicken. Oh and they changed their RIDICULOUS menu to seemingly simplified but even more pointless one. I was asked if it was my first time there… which means I probably took too long to order. A menu shouldn’t be an adventure, especially not at a shitty place like this that claims the best chili around but I only saw 4 chili options… NONE of which were special or stood out. How does a business like this stay in business? I’m sure it helps that they charge more than they should. It’s a shame Lucy’s Kitchen is gone because I will NEVER step foot in this«restaurant» ever again, even if the food is free.
