Fairfield Pawn

I have never been in a gun store and treated was wonderful as my experience with a private sale exchange as I was today with Fairfield Pawn Shop. Those folks are just the GREATEST.

This is the best FFL I’ve ever used. I’ve transfered/​purchased three firearms here, and each time I have been extremely impressed with their customer service and ease to deal with. This is not your typical gun shop which can be intimidating to first time buyers. Fairfield Pawn has been helpful and down to earth, and as a result I’ve recommended them to a couple friends and family members for their first firearms purchase. Not to mention that they are the cheapest for DROS and transfer fees that I have found!

This is the place you need to use to get your firearms transferred. Great service. I have used them in my last 5 firearm purchases and never had any issues. Every time I have been there, there were no rude employees. The owner Matt handles all your paperwork. Great mom and pop type gun shop.

Best Place in the area to have firearms purchased online transferred to. The DROS fee is only $ 25 and the staff is friendly fast and efficient. If you purchase firearms online and have them transferred here you will definitely be coming back again.
As far as merchandise for sale, there isn’t to much, some jewelry, guns, ammo and gun accessories but they can’t be beat for FFL transfers.

The gentleman that runs the gun room is cool. Not all up in your face or looking down his nose at you like you might experience at some FFLs. Real down to earth fella. Firearm selection is limited but listed with «Out The Door» pricing which is appreciated.
Their fee schedule is the lowest I could find locally with regular hours. There’s a guy in the south bay that does them for less (multiple transfers on one DROS) but his hours are a limited. They’ve got no beef accepting legal internet orders and don’t try to rip you off for finding the better deal out of state. That pushes them from 4 to 5 stars in my book.

One of the best Private Party Transfers I’ve ever done. Fast efficient and friendly. It took all of 15 – 20 min max. Its just off the freeway and easy to find and park. Don’t let the Pawn shop name dissuade you… It’s really a Gun Shop walled off separately from the pawn business. This FFL really knows his business… Deal with Confidence I will again… Thanks. I was looking for a receiving FFL that was not going ream me with high fees and a nasty attitude like most FFLs do when only receiving the firearm. I was lucky enough to find this place!
The charge was the most reasonable I could find. I went in and gave the heads up that it was coming and they called me as soon as it was there. I went in to do the paperwork and picked it up 10-​days later.
The process was as smooth as can be and every bit as friendly if I had spent thousands there. I have referred numerous people to FF Pawn, not just for FFL XFER but for their firearms and other goods. This is a good old fashioned service based store.
I would love to make them my place to purchase firearms… but as an instructor… I get amazing discounts from the manufacturer so I gotta stay that way to save the $$.

Very basic pawn shop. Seems like the focus of their merchandise is jewelry (mostly watches) and guns. They are however, the only pawn shop in the area that sells those very guns. Walk straight into the little closet like room in the back to have a peek. Not a huge selection obviously, but my boyfriend was drooling over a couple of them.
Lady with glasses was mean muggin’ me the whole time and kinda following me around. Perhaps I look suspicious. She was very short with me when I asked her questions too. Check out the filtered reviews, I’m not the only one who’s had this experience with her.
If guns, jewelry and bespectacled grouches are your bag than have I got a shop for you!

A little out of the way, but great people to work with. If you need an FFL to help you with a transfer, there’s nobody better in the greater Bay Area. Its worth the drive. And after scoring a $ 10 transfer, use the $$ you would have spent at your LGS and buy some accessories or ammo. Refreshing to visit a nice family-​owned business.

So I previously left a bad review because of a watch battery experience, so I thought it only fair to praise them for a great handgun transfer experience. They were nice, helpful, and NOT condescending (Especially impressive in light of the «saturday night special» that I was purchasing. Plus, they only charge $ 10 for their trouble ($ 25 DROS and sales tax is the same everywhere).

Well, I cant speak for their watch batteries. However, if you are looking for a place to ship your gun, this is the place! Matt was very knowledgeable about my gun and only charged $ 10 for the transfer fee. Good luck finding anywhere near that price. Centermass and Guns & Fishing charge $ 100 for a FFL transfer fee. Do yourself a favor and come here.
