We’ve been going to the Jr classes for my son who’s 8 for a month now. This has been great for a variety of reasons. But aside from why and how martial arts can be a positive experience in general, I really must say that the teacher makes all the difference. Master David has a way with the kids and that’s not just quoting his Mom who runs the desk. He seems to know when and how to inspire each student. I’ve seen respect and patience with a sharp eye that misses nothing. It’s what he gives and what the kids are shown by example to return. Aside from being kids and the occasional redirection they respond in kind on the whole. The family run business is family friendly and parents are encouraged to watch the kids practice. The students are taught and then learn again by helping each other. There is such a positive influence of support for everyone, it’s contagious. I’m impressed with the subtleties at work in this center. The variety, constant motion and steady pace helps keep everyone focused and really keeps the kids engaged. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. They also offer other classes as listed at
