I got the breakfast burrito with potatoes and it was great. Support local business.

Went this morning for breakfast. I got the thick cut French toast & the husband got the breakfast burrito. The French toast is fluffy and not overly eggy. A huge hunk of heaven. The burrito had great flavor and spice… spice not spicy. Really great and filling breakfast. We both got stuffed and had leftovers. All for $ 20. The place is charming and really clean. We will be back. Perfect little spot!

Ordered a cheeseburger to go. Nowhere on the menu does it say that they come with lettuce and tomato, and if it had, I would have asked for NO lettuce and tomato. Instead, they apparently assume everyone wants it, and they not only include it, but put the shredded lettuce directly in the cheese, making it impossible to remove from the burger, and then the tomatoes on the bottom, completely ruining the bread and making it soggy. Absolutely disgusting. If given the opportunity, I would have requested there to be no lettuce or tomato on my burger. On top of all that, my burger was not well done as requested, and just did not taste good. I am so disappointed because this place got such great reviews, and now my lunch is ruined. I will not be ordering from Honey’s again.

I stopped by Honey’s Kitchen one morning while in ton for a business seminar. My first impression of this quaint diner was that it was homey and welcoming. I was greeted as soon as I arrived and took a seat at the small counter. I was astounded by the familiarity between staff and customers. It is obvious that they have lots of repeat business, and for good reason. The menu is small but enticing, with a small list of daily specials. Coffee arrived promptly, and my server was genuine and kind to her customers. I ordered an asparagus omelette from the specials, which was excellent. Fluffy eggs folded with bright asparagus tips, along with bacon, onions, and muenster cheese. The accompanying potatoes were different than your standard diner fare, diced smaller and well seasoned. As I spied the other patrons, I found my next choice for when I return: a heaping bowl of corned beef hash. Overall, a fantastic breakfast.

My family and I decided to try it out after reading all the great reviews. Keep in mind my family also consists of an «almost 2 year old and an 8 month old». We read that the food and service is fab and the atmosphere is great for kids. Well that was not our experience. From the moment we walked in our waitress looked pissed off that she got a table with two babies. She really spoiled the entire experience for us so we had a bad impression from the time we sat down. I wish I knew her name by she was an older woman with short blonde hair. She appeared to be a grandmothers age so I would think at that age she would be fond of babies. Perhaps she was having a bad day(at 9am) If anyone has ever had children they know that they are children and they can cry, act out and yell. Especially at almost 2. They provided us a high chair, ok kid friendly and then also crayons after we asked for them. She never once asked us how the food was(it was just OK) if we needed more coffee, she acted like she was again not thrilled about our table. Maybe if we were only two adults dining there we would have had a different experience but I certainly wouldn’t ever recommend a family go here. My daughter acted her age and I don’t feel I need to apologize to our waitress or anyone else for that matter.

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Small and cozy little place with plenty of tables available when we walked in. I had the the spinach and feta cheese omelette, which was a nice sized portion. The omelette was VERY good, as well as the potatoes served with my omelette, delicious and not overdone with onions like some of the local diners do. Here’s where it became a bit weird and the reason I’m giving this place 2 stars: The hospitality was non-existent. At first, when the waitress came over to take our order, she wasn’t very welcoming at all. I made nothing of it, since maybe she was just having a bad morning. After our food comes out, she brings our plates over and by then my coffee cup was ½ empty. I didn’t ask for more coffee right away because I thought she would notice and come back to fill my coffee cup. That never happened. So, I just eat my delicious looking omelette and pretty much finish my breakfast, with no coffee in my cup now. And not even a glass of water to wash down my food. So, I now have nothing to drink and my wife tried to get the attention of our waitress and some other waitress that looked angry at life, but no response. I wait and wait, thinking our waitress or someone else working may just come over and check on us, and perhaps bring me a coffee refill, but nope. At that point, I just get up with my cup and walk towards the counter where there is 2 women standing around, one of them looks at me like I had 5 heads, ignores my request to refill my cup. However, the younger girl at the counter notices and politely refills my coffee cup. Unbelievable. I give props to the chef who made our breakfast, good job! But the service here was terrible to us.

I love Unilocal! There are great brunch places in NJ(I always do brunch in NYC). Walking into Honey’s Kitchen is like walking into someone’s dinner room. It’s in a tiny house and they def maximized every inch of space! We tried their Crabcake salad and Caramelized French toast with fresh fruits — specials. OMG! SOOOOOOGOOD! The Crabcake was in a generous portion and it tasted amazing! The caramel on the french toast was not just gooey, there was crispy pieces at the end… SOGOOD! The prices were very reasonable and waitress was adorable(forgot to ask for her name). Can’t wait to come back!

This place is the best, PERIOD! The food is great, portions huge, prices reasonable, the servers are second to none, and the owners are Aces! If they have any left on Thursday or Friday, I suggest the Crab Cake salad… It’s hands down the best crab cake I’ve ever had.

Insanely good food. Small, cozy inside and super friendly wait staff. Get there early on Thursdays or you’ll miss out on the crab cake salad. And ask for Lola and be sure to ask her how you can remember her name :-) Oh and did I mention the insanely good food?

This place was packed for lunch on a Thursday. Great food and friendly service. Other Unilocaler’s recommended the crab cake specials with green and a mustard dressing. It was fabulous! And the portions were huge! My dining companion took half of his home. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes!

Fantastic brunch! Food quality and portions were both excellent! 2 of us went the breakfast route, having an omelette and the special eggs Benedict, and the other 2 of us enjoyed the special chicken sandwich and Mike’s Big Mouth. We all shared the challah French toast short stack for a great way to whet our appetite, and kick off our meal. This little gem of a place will become a regular stop for us in the future!

Honey’s is one of my favorite lunch spots in town. It has a small shore diner type feel down me… where everyone is welcoming and friendly. Although it’s not a big place, the wait is never long and the service is always fast and accurate. My favorites here include the whole wheat pancakes, any type of eggs, and the huge salads. I love how everything is fresh and customizable — awesome for healthy, picky eaters like me! P. S. Their sandwiches are multigrain are also amazing and a great portion!

This is a solid 5 star breakfast place, and a 4 star lunch place in a 2 star location. I love the breakfast here!!! The choices and delivery is second to none. This is why we love Jersey food joints. The unbelievable quality in the most understated location. Highly recommended, give it a shot!

Cannot imagine anyone saying a bad thing about this place! Although it’s small and always packed the friendly and efficient service will have you seated right away. I go at least one time a week for lunch and have never had a bad thing on the menu. My personal favorite is their crab cake salad on their specials menu(only served Thursday and Friday) A must try.
