A little bit of Paris in Fairfield. Great baked goods. Coffee OK but you’re really here for the crossaints!

This is a serious French patisserie with unbelievably good baked goods. We only go here for special occasions for two reasons — it’s expensive and we end up eating too much. But everything I’ve tried here is delicious. The chocolate croissants(or pain au chocolat) are amazing, just the right ratio of chocolate to pastry dough. Also true to size I remember from France, not super sized for Americans. The macaroons are wonderful as is the fruit tart. I haven’t tried yet but they have an amazing selection of small quiches in unique flavors. I asked and you can special order a larger one for family dinner. Coffee also really food. They have a limited selection of cold drinks too like Pellegrino. Seating is limited to a few small tables and 1 large farm table. Worth a drive to Fairfield for this little gem.

One of the best bakeries I’ve been to. They had fresh pastries and everything tasted amazing; however it is a little expensive. They also make homemade chocolates and french macaroons. The staff is friendly and willing to warm up anything. My personal fav was the blueberry crescent warmed up.

This is a great place to grab a cup of coffee and eat some delicious French pastries! I think it’s important to note that this place is a 100% authentic French bakery so be prepared for it to not fill the standard American high sugar high carb fare. If you are looking for out of this world authentic French desserts this is definitely your place. The staff is super friendly and their homemade chocolates and ice cream are to-die-for.

it is very expensive for what it is. only good thing is semolina bread. we used to love chocolate bread too but las time, we bought it was super oily chocolate was burnt. Cakes can be good or really bad, it could be stale sometimes. Also owner lady is not too welcoming.

Second trip and this is one outstanding French bakery. The croissants, both plain and chocolate were perfect and the chocolate ganache pyramid was three different chocolates in one perfect piece. Then I tasted the chocolate éclair with its great filling, perfect pastry and a drizzle of dark chocolate on top. Overall one of the best bakery, patisseries I have ever been to.

I am not a gourmand, but I do like pastries, breads, chocolate… Entering Isabelle et Vincent is a treat visually. There is no doubt that their fare LOOKS magnificent. Frankly I wanted most of it. We settled on a handful of ‘delights’ to go… A couple of what I guess could be crullers — which were very dense and way too chewy. The next in line was a cream filled — well it look like a cream filled doughnut… This was meh… nothing that made us feel we were eating a special dessert. The blueberry tart was interesting. If the intent was to present nothing but blueberries on a crust, I guess this would be a success… I actually didn’t mind this, but — again — not awe inspiring. We also tried an Apple almond tart… Disappointed again. Waiting in the refrigerator is bacon and onion quiche, and a coconut dessert whose official name escapes me. These will be consumed tomorrow… We are hoping for better. I don’t mind paying high prices for food, but it darn well better make me sit up and take notice. The choices we have tried so far were extremely underwhelming. The quiche and coconut dessert are for tomorrow… There may be hope, but it won’t help raise a star. Believe it or not, we may try it again… After all look at all the five star reviews… Maybe they had an off day, but somehow I doubt it. Sorry…

The most unbelievable macarons I’ve ever had … everything is absolutely decadent, and the bakery itself is very pleasing to the eye. I’m almost sorry I discovered this place, because it’s going to be terrible for my waistline; a MUST try!

If you can’t make it to Paris, this is the next best thing. It’s hard to choose what to buy here since everything is a beautiful confection to both the eye and stomach. The owners are charming and if you speak French, they are even more delightful(if that’s possible!) The Napoleons and quiches and the assorted little bites trays of desserts(great for an office or hostess gift) are sublime. Bread and cookies and tarts too. Their homemade chocolate is decadent and beautifully packaged. Linger at one of the tables and it feels like a café en France. They also offer coffee, tea and beverages as well. For Christmas, pre-order their«Bouche de Noël.» It’s superb and your holiday table will look like a photo shoot. Seriously. If you want to make any event or meal special — or make your hostess swoon — or your kids get better grades(just kidding — but it’s a great bribe) then make Isabelle et Vincent your new favorite slice of French life.

This is an amazing place! Authentic French bakery by a French couple that ran a bakery in France for 10+years them moved to CT7 years ago. Croissants –outstanding, plain, almonds and chocolate au pan, the mini quiches are fresh tasty and fluffy, olive and cheese and rosemary baguettes are yummy, coffee is really good. 1.5 pounds of assorted amazing biscuits. It made our morning to find it after a red eye flight and 3 hrs sleep, I wish I can have such a bakery in our neighborhood! Simply outstanding! Oh forgot to say that I took the box of cookies to a 4 hours meeting with a customer, they loved it! Great way to break the ice and make friends quickly ;)

Everything I’ve tried from this bakery has been delicious! There’s always a perfect assortment available for dinner party desserts. I’ve read a handful of reviews that claim they missed the mark with their macarons… sure, they don’t exactly fit the mold of a traditional French macaron, but I kind of appreciate that… and they’re yummy.

We enjoyed the pastries and the bread. We ordered a croissant, which was very good, a blueberry tart which was nice and a lovely French donut filled with vanilla cream. There’s a large display of pastries that all look fresh and yummy. I decided to take one star off because of the fact that there were no prices displayed, and due to the customer service. The Person at the counter was not smiling and I almost felt as if I was disturbing her. I would highly encourage the owner to place prices next to the food items. I think it’s a good practice and it makes the customers feel much more comfortable. Also, the owner should encourage employees to smile and make an effort to be helpful.

Hmm. was super excited to try this place, since the reviews on Unilocal were so spectacular. The pastries in the display looked great, but our croissant was slightly soggy and nothing to write home about. The quiche(spinach and goat cheese) was just OK, and the one other sweet pastry we got(I can’t remember what it was, maybe a tart?) was clearly forgettable. The staff that works here was really sweet, but it’s definitely not a place you can sit down and enjoy your food– there’s one large table that can be dominated by a single party, and a couple small bar height tables with stools that are quite rickety, with tablecloths that tend to slip off. A poor elderly gentleman sitting next to us was really struggling with the high tables. We went on a saturday morning and the place was pretty busy. I guess since it’s so close to home I would try it again on the off chance that my bad experience was a fluke, but if I were really looking for a flaky buttery croissant and baked goods I’d drive the extra 10 – 15 mins to Sono bakery in Norwalk or Westport.

The only place where you can get authentic French pastries/chocolates/cookies in Fairfield County. I love their almond croissants and quiches! They make everything in-house including their extensive cabinet of chocolates. A bit on the pricey side, but 120% worth it. They sell out quick so make sure you get there early.

My «spa day» of sorts had put me into a great mood — which to me meant it had to be capped with a treat. Or several. I’m still getting to know the area so Unilocal pointed me towards Isabelle Et Vincent, and I’m happy that it did! It was mostly empty when I stopped by, except for two young girls trying to figure out what they could buy with the amount of money they had. They were cute, and I could tell that they didn’t recognize some of the pastries so I asked the young staffer to describe them for me(us). It was a tough decision, but I opted to try two of their macarons(pistachio and salted caramel), a square pastry that was layers of cake with coffee and chocolate mousse, topped with ganache, and the tiramisu cup. A bit pricey, but that’s the usual with pastries such as these. I waited until I was home to allow my husband a nibble as well. Sort of, haha. The only sour note was the macarons — they’re big, and the pastry tip they use is toothed to give it some design, I guess, but the result is a big mess, not the refined macaron with a thin shell and chewy interior. The pistachio flavor was eh, but the caramel was decent. I just couldn’t get over the super thick shell and glompy chewiness. Not for me. The tiramisu was delicious, however, creamy custard, layers of soaked ladyfingers, although the dusting of cocoa powder on top was bit too much personally. The square pastry I had was a winner, however, and I had a little duel with my husband before he allowed me to finish the rest. I’ll have to try a few more treats — and bring something savory back for my man!

Yeah it’s a bit pricey, but this is a get what you pay for situation. The breads, pastries, and drinks are all phenomenal. It is owned by a very sweet couple. It’s a cozy place to meet a friend for coffee and some dessert.

Hidden gem. This place is Disney land for me. EVERYTHING is spectacular. Airy, buttery, perfectly sweet, and light. The breads I eat by the loaf. Must try the Parmesan and thyme. Fairfield is truly lucky to have two of the most passionate and talented bakers I have ever seen. Their pastries are better than every gourmet NYC bakery I have been too. Extraordinary…
