As far as Kroger stores go, this one isn’t bad. It is clean, most of the staff are really great, they have a decent natural foods area. The issues I have with this place is the some clerks are not trained on what food is what. I all to frequently get rung up with the wrong item because they don’t know the difference between cilantro and parsley or what ‘Kale’ is. I’m also disappointed in their organic produce. It rarely looks fresh and is more often than not mismarked. E.g. Fuji apples will be in the lemon bin. I get that not everyone in this community buys organic foods, but if you are going to have them, help yourself out and stock them correctly and pull the rotting items.

Just wanted to start off with handicap parking! There is not enough! The parking lot is to small for the store! That’s all I have about this place. So don’t drive in circles just go to Meijes they have plenty of parking!

Good quality Kroger with a good selection and decent prices. Better selection than most.

My grocery store has a liquor store inside it. Does yours? No? Then get on over here to this wonderful Kroger in Fairfield and grab some of the hard stuff along with your normal grocery needs. The selection is somewhat limited but they have at least a few varieties of everything — and a few cigars, too. The beer aisle has a decent selection of mostly regional microbrews as well. The overall grocery store looks good, but I don’t do the grocery shopping so I couldn’t say for sure.

Here’s my issue with Kroger. It’s a chain. Therefore, each Kroger should be similar. If you walk into one Kroger you should be able to know exactly what you’re going to get and where it is location, just like the one you normally go to. Nope. Not at all. Every Kroger has their isles laid out completely differently and god does that bug me for some reason. It may be the fact that I hate grocery shopping so I want to get in and out as quick as possible. But whenever I walk into a new Kroger I feel like I’m just wandering isles aimlessly, looking for one stupid item. This one I particularly didn’t like. They split up the food, keeping the cooking items on one end of the store and the snacks and drinks all the way on the other end of the store, with the things like paper towels and cleaning supplies between the two? What! I kept walking in the cooking area looking for soda, thinking I was an idiot for not seeing it. I had to ask someone who finally sent me to the other end That being said, this was a very clean and very large Kroger. Parking is easy, they keep things well shelved and there is even a rather large section for beer, wine and a liquor store. That’s pretty nice right there. Still, bad design on isle lay out and that’s the most important thing to my food shopping experience. Damn you Kroger, why must you make everything so difficult!
