Muscle Maker Grill is a good concept, and they make it work. They have a solid menu with relatively diverse options. For those looking to order out, but also have a strong inclination towards keeping it healthy, there aren’t many places I know of that does what Muscle Maker produces. Their items definitely cater to a balanced view of nutrition, and make it taste very well. My experience with their staff has always been very courteous, accommodating, and proactive. As soon as you walk in, they definitely give the immediate impression that you’re in a place that directly accommodates a fitness oriented customer… with taste buds. Aesthetically, it appears in some ways like walking into a higher end fitness facility. It’s not easy to make tasty nutritional food while also having a NYSC-like appearance, but make it happen. It’s actually quite a brilliant concept on the part of ownership. You cannot help but tip your cap to them.

It doesn’t taste awful and I think the portions are actually what portions should be for a normal human. The thing is, I seem to get GI distress the next morning every time. I think the sauce they use…

I truly enjoy eating here! I’m a bit closer to their new location in Hamden so I am expecting the same great taste and service. I’ve tried many items and everything has been exceptional. Absolutely no complaints from me. I enjoy their turkey meatballs when I opt for meat, otherwise, their veggie options leave me fully satisfied. I appreciate healthy options and this place offers a healthy alternative to «fast» food. Another plus is the price. I think portions are generous and let’s face it, I don’t want to over eat either. It’s reasonable. Highly recommend.

This would be the equivalent of a more diverse Chipotle or a health conscious Burger King. The setup is designed to be quick in/quick out, hot off the grill healthy fast food joint. There are some tables here if you feel like sitting down and eating your food on the spot. I ordered a limited edition Tilapia wrap for 10 bucks. It consisted of fried tilapia, brown rice, beans, guacamole and salsa rolled into a whole wheat wrap. The wrap itself was delicious, however I didn’t like the«western potato’s» that came with it. While the wrap itself was delicious, I am inclined to agree with fellow Unilocalers that the portion size still left me hungry at the end of the meal. For the price value here, I would probably recommend a Chipotle to leave you feeling full at the end. This spot is right around the corner from Southwestern Moe’s, however you can taste that they definitely use higher quality ingredients here. Bottom line: good food that may not fill you completely. Pricing comparable to a Chipotle or Southwestern Moe’s. High quality ingredients, however somewhat small portions. Will most likely return.

I’ve been going to this MMG location for quite some time, and I have yet to have a bad experience there! some of my favorite things on the menu include The Santa Fe wrap with spinach or whole grain pasta, and the Cajun chicken salad! always fresh, always delicious and always exceptional service. Highly recommended!

I tried this place because someone I know loves it. I tried the veggie wrap with one of their free sides, which was the salad. When it arrived I almost chuckled because of the portion size. Don’t get me wrong, it was cute, but my meal shouldn’t look like I ordered off the children’s menu. The wrap was OK at best, but lacked texture. I also sampled the Balboa. By its name alone, you would think big with a lot of fixings. Unfortunately, it was small and had an awkward after taste. While we were eating, we were thinking of our next meal. With all the choices in the area, don’t waste your time.

Some people from my office ordered food around 11:30 and said it would be delivered by 12:15 to 12:30. We wait until about 1 to call and ask where the food was and the person on the phone says the delivery guy is coming. We call two more times asking where the food was before the delivery guy shows up. Not only was the delivery late since we got it at 1:30, but the delivery guy was obviously high. He kept saying the same things and just handed all the food at us without checking if it was all there. At this point I left to be at another job at 1 so I didn’t even get my lunch. From my coworkers I heard the quality of the food was BAD. It was cold, it seemed to be frozen and reheated, and smaller portions than you’d expect. Two coworkers even got sick from it. Luckily one of my coworkers was looking out for me and told me what happened and asked if I wanted her to throw my food away. Since my others coworkers got sick I didn’t want to take any chances so I had her throw it away. This is not the first bad experience that our company has had with their food and we will definitely not be ordering from there again.
