Good selection, low prices, nice staff. It’s really confusing trying to see where one section ends and the next begins. I can’t seem to get outta there without buying too much, so they must be doing a lot right!

So I have a few things to comment on about this place. They give you nothing when they buy music and or movies from you. So if you want money sell it your self on Craigslist or one of the many for sale sites on Facebook. Also if you have text books for sale new or used sell them somewhere else to. While I was there a lady came in and said she had some like new real-estate books to sell and asked the lady at the counter how much she would give for them. The lady said fifty cents tops. Then the employees are down right scary. The older black lady looked like she was mad at the world. No smiles at all. I will never go in this store again.

As I was walking towards the store to find myself a purchase. The door was rudely shut in front of me by a staff member and locked right right after two people who were right in front of me(employees I’m guessing) entered the store. The staff member didn’t even bother to explain to me that they wouldn’t be opening for another hour. Only after she shut the door did I see a sign that said sorry for the inconvenience. While this had happened the other two people who entered snickered. I was mocked as a customer. At this point I am considering to never shop at this location ever again. Mind you it was about 3PM on a Monday afternoon.

THISIS/WAS THEVALLEJOSTORE. This Rasputin and the one in the Haight in San Francisco are two of the smallest stores in the Rasputin chain that I have ever been to. Neither carries much and your lucky if you find what your looking for.

When I walked in here they didn’t say one thing at all to me and just mean mugged me! I felt like they didn’t want my business at all. So sad.

A bit hard to find. But this is one of my favorite record stores. I live about 40 minutes away and will try to find an excuse to get my album shopping fix. Not a huge fan of the rasputin in concord and Berkeley. This is my go to place. Feels much cleaner, selection isn’t as big as the other two location but I’m more confident in my finds compared to others.

Although I have really only browsed in this store and never bought anything, doesn’t mean I haven’t wanted to! The prices are reasonable… but you certainly pay for convenience. You could easily find the same vinyls on e-bay or amazon and probably pay less even including shipping. I guess some might argue that the quality of buying from an online venue could be questionable, but I have never had a problem with it. I think the concept is a great one, it’s a definite throwback to the past, but it could use more selection. I have been to record stores in TX and Southern California who greatly outshine this little store, which I find hard to understand. The location of being in a city surrounding the bay area should create plenty of merchandise i would think, but maybe I just don’t know how the business works. Anyways, the place is a great concept… it just needs to be improved upon.

I just browse around most of the time. The only time I buy is during Record Store Day. Their vinyl section needs to be doubled or tripled or quadrupled.

Vinyl is the thing a lot of people are getting back in to and records are selling like crazy everywhere. So it surprises me that the Selection of vinyl here is as weak and limited as it is here. A majority of it is out dated(Beatles, acdc, black sabbath) and there is a lot of VERY out of style stuff(Donny and Marie osmond and a bunch of 60’s-80’s no names) I love music from all genres and times but we need to lay those records to rest already. I would think somebody from the company would keep up with latest releases and what actually sells. Stick to the one on Haight street in The City or the one in Berkeley for a little better selection. On the other hand, good movie collection. –jason

Tucked away in the corner next to Macys, you can’t miss the 12″ vinyl’s through the window. Getting all nostalgic, I couldn’t help but to make a stop here. The days when I use to spend hours digging for vinyl are long gone and closely reliving it was a sweet feeling. I’ve found some rare scores. I wish there were more selections, but we know these are basically considered obsolete thus the rarity. The 12″ prices are hard to challenge since they are collectables. I remember there were stores back in the day where they had no clue on pricing rare stuff. In essence you would walk away paying $ 5 dollars on something that would cost beyond $ 40. However, they know their stuff here so don’t get your hopes up. Other than vinyl, they carry CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays as well. Prices aren’t bad on the new tracks, but seen far cheaper elsewhere. We need more locations!

I was on my way to BestBuy when I turned the corner and couldn’t believe this place was there. The store isn’t very big but they have a great selection. Lots of Pink Floyd options!!! Decent prices and Great staff too.

Rasputin’s is one of the best places to get your bay area slapps, this one is a small store in the mall and still has all the new stuff.

A small branch of Rasputin, located in the Solano Mall, I had no idea it existed until I saw it on the directory. Its a typical Rasputin store, grungy but well-organized and fun to browse. Not a huge selection of used music or movies, but I was able to find some sweet deals. I found a copy of the movie«Looper» on DVD for $ 9(it still retails around $ 19 new) and A Tribe Called Quest CD for about $ 7. I know that may seem like a random purchase but that’s what I love about Rasputin. If you walk in there with a list of movies or music you want to buy, 9 times out of 10 you will find it! I don’t live in Fairfield so I don’t think I’ll be coming back here soon, but its a decent Rasputins for what it is. Say what you will about Rasputin or Amoeba, but I can’t think of a better way to create your own little DVD/Blu-Ray &CD library for cheap!

Good stuff. A Lil smaller than their Vallejo store. Well actually a lot smaller…
