This is the«party winery» in the area. Although not quite our style, I can see how others would love it and have a fabulous time. They have events every Saturday and the tasting fee includes not only tastings, but also a full glass of your choice and freshly made pizza. There is also live music and lots of seating set up. Although this isn’t the place to go for a low key, serene and informative wine tasting experience, if you like to party, I recommend giving this place a shot.

After visiting Ledgewood Creek winery, we heard the music off in the distance at their neighbor, Winterhawk winery. We’ve been to an event there before, and it was fun so we went to check it out. For only $ 10 each, we got a tasting of five wines, a glass of our favorite one, a couple of hot dogs and several bags of chips. The generous pours along with some fast-paced dancing soon had us feeling a bit queasy. I would say their wines are second to Ledgewood in Suisun Valley but the entertainment in the form of bands they bring in also give this winery four stars. It’s cool too because last time we were there a hawk was perched at the entrance to their winery.

Winterhawk Winery showcases the best of Solano County — easy going and non-judgmental, it features good wines and a strong jazz and blues culture that attracts a devoted mature local crowd. The best part of the Winterhawk experience is that it never tries to be anything other than what it is. My husband and I enjoy escaping for an hour or so on weekends and sharing a bottle of wine with friends, and listening to great music in the middle of a beautiful vineyard. Anyone who would rate this experience less than a 5 just doesn’t get it, and should check their expectations and head over the hill to Napa.

Nice Chardonnay and velvety smooth Pinot Noir. Winterhawk Winery is a great place to bring friends and enjoy live music with the wine, pizza, and snacks.

This place can be really fun. Just make sure you go on a Saturday that has a really good band, so you can get your dancing feet on the dance floor. For $ 10, you get a flight of tastings(I personally do not like their wines…) AND you get a full glass of your most favorite tasting. The awesome part is, that there is free pizza being hand made. So if you can brave the«slightly older» drunk crowd, and drink some ok wine, then, you will enjoy this nice outdoor space for a good buzz, dancing, and really good pizza!

Saturdays are so much fun here! $ 10 gets you five tastes, one full glass and a slice of pizza. We usually buy a bottle and get a little bit too tipsy :) q

Went on a Friday night food truck and wine tasting event. The food was great, the wine was great and it was nice to pick out my favorite. The live music was good. We had a fun night.

Been a few more times since my 2011 review. A few things have changed. Prices are now $ 10 for tastings, 1 glass of wine, homemade pizza, and a band on Saturday. My boyfriend paid $ 7 which was for everything except the tastings(he just got a glass of wine = DD). We had a great time yesterday. Linda and Barry were our«servers», they were such great people and the band was good too! Heard they do a Food Truck Friday as well. Would be fun to check out!

Another great little winery in Suisun Valley… please go here, wine-inclined Unilocalers… Napa winemakers make plenty of money, frequent the little guys.

Boyfriend and I stopped in randomly on a Saturday afternoon, not knowing there was a legit party going on! They had an awesome funk/blues band playing, and all the middle aged people getting druuuuunk and dancing were the perfect entertainment. We bought a bottle of their white blend(which was waaaay too sweet for me) and posted up by the dance floor to enjoy ourselves. It was lovely. Note — drunk people like to drive after this event! We witnessed a woman in her 50s hit not one but TWO cars and drive away! Park down the winery, not in the lot, to avoid that. People are idiots.

$ 7 for flight of 8, a full glass of wine, and pizza. Saturdays, live music too. It’s a steal! Wines– Winterhawk White was the favorite. Sorry but I wish their reds had more body and tannins. Beautiful day here, gorgeous sunset! Parking is easy.

This is a great little thing to do on a Saturday afternoon. It is Suisun, and can be a bit windy sometimes so even on a nice day bring a light sweater. Bands are good! Pizza was tasty(like homemade) Wine is surprisingly very, very good. I am a Merlot girl, but their whites were fresh, fruity, light… great for summer. Bought a case that gave us a 20% discount. woot! Get there early if you want a good table and to be near the dance area. Can get a little crowded. Bring your own cheese, fruit and crackers and buy lots of their wine. Promisses a good time!

My first winery visit in California turned out to be a great success! We just happened to stumble upon Winterhawk Winery not too far from our hotel and the Budweiser brewery(which was our first stop). Not the greatest wine in the world, but for five bucks you get to sample each of their wines(red and white), AND you get a full pour of your favorite vino, AND you get all you can eat pizza that is wood fired ONLOCATION! That’s a smokin deal if you ask anyone! Everyone there was helpful and friendly, not to mention good at keeping wine in your glass!

What a delightful winery and a nice place to spend a few hours on a Saturday. The $ 5.00 tasting includes all of their wines and a full glass of your favorite. The prices are reasonable They serve complimentary pizza from a wood-fired pizza oven. The pizza margarita is really – really good, it has a nice crisp thin crust; I kept going back for more, and I ate all the crust. It was better than a lot of restaurants. Live music featuring blues bands, dancing, and a staff of people who are friendly and really seems to enjoy what there are doing made people linger.

A Saturday without Winterhawk is like a day without sunshine. Well. maybe a day without wine, pizza, and the Blues — that’s paramount to sunshine. It’s the best deal in town… in this case in Fairfield’s Suisun Valley. Wine by the Glass — $ 5 for all of the above mentioned: wine, homemade pizza, and incredible Blues bands from the Bay Area. The staff at Winterhawk is just like family or an old friend. You will love them and it! Every Saturday afternoon on the crush pad. Beautiful views of Suisun Valley and surrounding hillsides. This is really something special. Trust me. Every picture tells a story. I have added photos to tell you this one. So conveniently located to Sacramento and San Francisco. Come spend the day and the night in nearby Fairfield. You will be amazed at what you discover.
