The bread is awesome here and every sub I’ve had was delicious… tuna, steak and cheese, Italian. And, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.

If you want to know if a lunch spot is decent, look for at least one of the following three things: Students, City/Construction workers, Cops. Today, Hungry Heroes had 2 out of the 3. Generally, these are indications that the place is good for chowing down on your break. I was not misled. Hungry Heroes has a number of options. I went with the Chicken Stir-Fry Pocket. The portion was sizable, the chicken tender, the vegetables well cooked, and the teriyaki sauce was just right. The staff was extremely friendly and the sandwich came out fast, especially for lunch hour and on a holiday. I’ll definitely be returning when the desire for a sub hits me, and this is a fantastic alternative to big-business Subway or d’Angelo.

Awesome soups! Kale and clam chowder are perfect.
They make a solid sandwich, just how you like it, gpr a good price. I really like the bread they use especially when toasted. Doesn’t taste of chemicals, like Subway does. My favorite sub is the chicken stir fry with broccoli snow peas and carrots, following the Owner is a subt th gobbler. I like that they serve the sammy with gravy on the side to dunk in. Owner is a super nice guy, stop in here! Oh salads are huge and I love the meatballs too!
