Great place. Pool tables. Open late. I hear food is coming soon. You can pick your own music. Drinks are great.

Love this place. Great neighborhood bar, friendly faces. Play a game of pool or your fave songs on the juke.

Holy crap. This place is horrible. A group of friends and myself visited The Bitter End after finishing up our trivia night at The Mattapoisett Chowder House and were we disappointed. It turns out that The Bitter End is not just a clever name. It has the makings of a decent small town dive bar. Efficient lay out. Decent bar size. All in all it could be pretty good. Let me now point out the biggest problem The Bitter End has going for itself… the bartender. What a misery to deal with this girl! If I had to choose to have my toe nails pulled out one by one or sit at her bar again… it’d be a toss up! She seemed utterly inconvenienced by 8 – 10 people visiting her completely empty bar. She couldn’t be bothered. It was about 10 – 15 degrees hotter inside the bar coming in from outside. I asked if we could turn on the jukebox and she made some lame excuse about the WI-​FI taking too long to connect. Ummm, okay. We then politely asked if we could open the windows and were told there were too many bugs outside. We politely let her know that while standing outside earlier there were not many bugs out and that we were all very hot. So instead of offering to turn on the A/​C she tells us that she’s the bartender and she makes the decisions and that the windows would not be opened. Unfathomable. Horrible customer service. She couldn’t have been less attentive and looked totally annoyed we were taking her away from her MacBook. For lack of a better term… This place sucks.

A cool bar on route 6, it looks kinda ruff from the outside but is actually slightly swanky inside.
