Tammy and Jason are the most personable yet professional photographer duo you will ever find.
Given my love of photography, my wife put me in charge of finding the perfect photographer for our wedding. We interviewed A LOT of respectable photographers along the Gulf Coast and reviewed just about everyone’s portfolio in detail.
I could not have been happier with our decision. Tammy and Jason have this down to a true art. Tammy has a lot of fun with the babies and making them smile while Jason is scanning the group to make sure people are visible and in flattering positions. They do it so seamlessly. Our formal portraits were a blast! They are so engaging and fun for all three events they did for us. You can tell this is not just a job for them, but they live and love this life.
Their equipment is also top notch. Between the cameras (and backup cameras), the lighting, and their comm system they will not only take great pictures, but help you and the coordinator to make sure your wedding is PERFECT.
Their price is very fair. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best. When your wedding is over and you are sharing stories with your growing family, the photos is what you will have.
Honest to goodness some of the photos we got back could be covers to wedding magazines. I can’t wait to use them again for our baby pictures when the time comes. You know you picked the right vendor when your friends and family are raving about them months after the event… «Worth every penny!», «Such amazing people.»

Jason and Tam are not only wonderful people, but incredibly talented photographers. Always wanting the «generic beach photo» I randomly began looking up photographers on Google to set up a shoot for our beach trip in July. There were no doubt a ton to choose from, but I could tell after one phone conversation with Jason that they were going to be the perfect fit for us! I decided my boyfriend and I were going to take pictures and he was less than thrilled with my decision. He moped and groaned about it all weekend and when he thought the weather was going to rain us out he was pretty excited. However, Jason never gave up on us! We kept in contact all day as they monitored the weather.
Jason was so funny and made us feel so comfortable. We were all able to laugh and joke and Jason encouraged us to be ourselves which made him able to capture us being us – which is exactly what I was hoping for! Once it was all over my boyfriend said, «That was not nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be. I actually enjoyed it. Jason really made me feel comfortable and I am glad we did that.» I almost fell out with amazement. I know most guys are just not fond of photo-​shoots or taking photos in general, but Jason made it such a great experience. The pictures also came out so beautiful I purchased all of them because I literally could not chose a couple favorites!
I would 150% recommend Jay and Tam to capture your special moments – no matter what they may be! Definitely look forward to using them again!

My family and I had the pleasure of working with Tammy and Jason during our first family vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama. Both were very informative, kind, as well as patient as we conducted arrangements from San Diego, California.
Would definitely recommend this company and utilize their services again. Unbeknownst to us, during the photo shoot and shortly thereafter, Tammy and Jason were going through a difficult time but never showed any struggle or grief whenever we interacted with them. Jason was exceptional and professional as he created true quality shots and used various techniques to maintain the attention of three two year old boys, a four year old boy, a seven and thirteen year old girl, as well as seven adults.

Would fully recommend this company and will no doubt use them again. We had our 10 year wedding reunion at the Beach Club where we were married and our entire extended family flew in from all over the country.
Jason did a great job with the photos and was even able to recreate scenes from our wedding pictures (plus 2 new kiddos). Our family had such a great time they even got some additional family photos of their own (which Jason was more than accommodating).
A couple weeks later to our excitement, Jason and Tammy even sent us Facebook sized pics so we couple post online for everyone to see.
Our orders came in and look amazing on the walls of our entire extended family. When Christmas rolled around long after the pics had been taken down from the website, they even helped us to get Christmas cards made.
We have used 3 different photographers in Gulf Shores (since we vacation there a lot) and Renaissance has undoubtedly been the best experience we have had.

Literally the BEST! Tammy and Jason were my photographers for my beach wedding this past October. I knew as soon as I saw thier pictures that they were good, but I had no idea JUST HOW GOOD! They were so helpful and wonderful that it was like having extra family around. I especailly loved the fact that the husband-​wife team was able to be in two placs at once, capturing the sweetest moments that may have otherwise been missed. They were running through the sand, moving items that blocked the shots and pretty much doing everything possible to make sure no memory was missed on my special day. I cannot express how thankful I am to have chosen Renaissance Portrait Studio!
