Frosty Dog

Wife and I stopped here driving back home. We Unilocaled the location. I bought a large cookies and crème milkshake. My wife got two dips (peanut butter cup and cookies and crème) on a waffle cone. The flavor of the ice cream was very bland. I kept waiting for a rich of flavor with each sip. I was pretty disappointed with it. Even the peanut butter ice cream was bland. It wasn’t horrible, but it was very underwhelming.

This little place was a great find! My wife, kids and I just left the Shelby county fairgrounds and were headed back home when we passed this place thought we’d stop and give ‘em a try!
We all tried the ice cream, not soft serve like most places, they have scoops! Not sure if they make their own ice cream or what but it was very tasty!
They say all of their food is homemade but we already had lunch so can’t review on that! If you’re traveling through I recommend stopping by and give them a try, very good!

For a little hot dog stand they get a four — very tasty, beefy, big Nathan’s hot dogs

Man, what a find.
Me and pops were cruising the countryside looking for a place that sold fresh eggs as we came across this little sign in bright red letters with an arrow pointing to the right «Frosty Dog» Cute name right? So of course we follow it and I’m sure glad we did.
We walked up to the order window, greeted by this lovely lady with a gorgeous smile. Also greeted by a mouth-​watering smell as she opened the window… Hypnotized, we exchanged a few words, not really remembering what I said until I couldn’t take it anymore «OMG! What are you cooking back there?! IT SMELLS SO GOOD!» she flashed me a bashful smile and told me that they just got done fixing some chili.
So that’s what we ordered, two chili dogs with cheese and onions. Surprised at the size of what we got as I picked them from the window. Served in the paper trays like you find at the fair or ball games. Cept it tasted oh so much better.
Their hot dog, was so good. Huge, at least. Iunno 2 inches round, and great quality. Also their homemade chili. So good… You could see about everything they put in it. It was spicy (but not too spicy), and chunky, with fresh tomatoes and huge chunks of beef in it. Way better chili than I ever made or had for that matter. I couldn’t finish it. Even tho I really wanted to. I had a melting icecream cone that was crying out for me. Which was also delicious. Fresh strawberry icecream with yummy strawberries in it. Hand dipped and they have so many other things i want to try/​
8 different kinds of hot dogs and they also have sausages, bratwursts grilled cheese sandwiches, and pulled pork sandwiches. They also have seasonal soups and let’s not forget their icecream! (Which can be made into milkshakes or a sundae)
I fell in love with this place, and if you ever make it out there. I bet you would too.
