Dr. Brokloff took my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. My experience was about as perfect as could be. First, I went in to get my wisdom teeth looked at because I had been having some pain and knew it was about that time! I found out I only had 3 wisdom teeth, and one of them had a cyst over it. Realizing that this could be an issue, Dr. Brokloff told me that I would need to be put under anesthesia to ensure that the surgery would be successful; due to the placement of the cyst, I could stop breathing if the procedure was performed normally. Of course, my insurance had something to say about me going to the hospital and having all of this work done. Dr. Brokloff went to bat for me, sending them a letter that fully explained why I needed to have the procedure done in a hospital under anesthesia. My insurance ultimately ended up covering the procedure, which would have been really expensive otherwise. I am a complete worrier, and I was never really worried that the cyst was cancerous, or that the surgery was all that dangerous. The cyst ended up benign and the surgery was great! I don’t know if it’s Dr. Brokloff’s technique, my pain tolerance, my strict adherence to what he told me to do, or something else entirely, but I had the easiest wisdom tooth extraction out of anyone I know. I didn’t have swelling or super noticeable bruising. I didn’t have pain(I was given pain meds but I didn’t take any of them). I didn’t have dry sockets. I didn’t get sick from the anesthesia. I didn’t have any issues at all. Immediately after the surgery, I was understandably woozy, but was able to get up myself, walk to the bathroom, then walk to the car. Aside from some embarrassment(apparently before I fell asleep I was asking ALL about the tools that they’d be using), my procedure was absolutely perfect. I had heard horror stories form friends and family about wisdom tooth extraction, and Dr. Brokloff made it a breeze. Would recommend to anyone looking to have this surgery!

No bedside manner. First, Dr. Brokloff berated me for not having my wisdom teeth out already,(which is not my fault because I was told as a teenager I should have enough room.) Then he insisted he would have to yank an extra tooth, again, because I was soooo extremely old(32 yrs old). He finished up with some inappropriate comments about the makeup I was wearing which has nothing to do with my teeth. I decided to go elsewhere! Also didn’t have to get extra tooth out, duh.
