This place is fantastic, and something that Fairmont really needs. The sushi is great and the hibachi is awesome. The only thing you don’t get is the hibachi live-show experience: they don’t cook it in front of you like at other Japanese steak houses, but the taste is just as good as any other place I’ve ever been to. The prices might be a little above what the average Fairmonter is used to paying for a dinner out, but they have some great specials, wine is actually really inexpensive, and overall the prices are much lower than you’d find at a comparable Japanese steakhouse any other city. Last time I was there(June 2013) they had a 2 for 1 hibachi special. Honestly, I don’t think you could make the same food yourself going to the grocery store for less. I also really hope this place is able to stay afloat — it is my family’s favorite restaurant in Fairmont!

This place is great for Fairmont and I really wish the locals would give it a shot. I always try to get the special because the staff knows better than I do what their best fish is for the day. I also HIGHLY recommend the Bayridge Roll! This place specializes in sushi but they offer hibachi as well. I’ve had several small dishes from this place with various noodles/veggies/fish and have loved them all but have never ordered the chicken or steak so I cannot vouch for the hibachi-style foods. Please go check it out. Fairmont is desperate for a little variety in their restaurants and this place needs support because it is always empty! They also have a very nice outdoor seating area and bucket beer deals that make it a great place to hang out in the summer. **I would like to add that I think the lack of customers is just from either people not knowing this restaurant exists or unwillingness to try a place that isn’t Applebees**

Just finished eating here. We had been wanting to try it. Should have went to Muriale’s instead. The food was below average. I know better: when you go in a restaurant and only one table is occupied, you should leave, but we thought«we’re here WHYNOT?» Big disappointment. The Teriyaki sauce was heavy and overwhelmed the underlying food, whether it was fish or chicken, but the hibachi chicken dish without Teriyaki was completely tasteless, so no one’s entrée was very good at all.
