I had the pulled pork, ribs and brisket platter. I can’t remember off hand what they called it, but it was delicious. I loved the atmosphere there as well. I tasted a couple of the whiskeys and ended up purchasing the peach moonshine. We also bought a couple of the wines. We will be back because they are great. I think I may make this a regular visit. Top notch.

A great place to visit for entire family — great food, wine and plenty of things to keep the family entertained. Anyone who hasn’t been here is truly missing out! Well worth the trip for anyone in the area or not in the area even for that matter!

They have a wine tasting bar and moonshine which is really great. The quality of the wine is very good, there is a gift shop, tours and a good atmosphere. The attached restaurant is great too.

I love this place, but the beer selection is laughable for such a high standard otherwise.

Loved this place. It was really out of the way. Almost stopped looking, glad we kept going. Food was good atmosphere interesting. Wait staff very friendly. Loved looking around the upstairs got ideas for ‘projects’ liked the wine I brought but did find that it was pricey compare to other parts of the country.

This review is for the winery distillery not the restaurant. If you are on I79 and see the Heston Farm Winery sign and can kill an hour stop. It is a way off the interstate, I think they say one mile probably closer to three but worth the trek. For $ 8 you get a glass and can taste all the wine they make. You can sample the corn whiskey for free and they have about 10 unique offerings. Smooth for corn whiskey and it completes the southern trip moonshine experience. The woman doing the tastings is very pleasant and knowledgable making the experience great. I did walk around and the place is pretty neat from the restaurant/shop décor to the pump car track outside for the kids. Oh if I weren’t 6’6″ I would have rode that.

Bar food at a winery/distillery in the hills. Didn’t imbibe but looked like lots of sweet wine. I understand they have entertainment in the evenings — open mike nights, bands, etc so might be interesting. Very nIce folks but the décor was«trying too hard».

Don’t waste your time or your money… We waited to eat until the dinner hour by trying to get some Moonshine… only to find out they won’t ship it any where and since we are flying we could not purchase any. So we waited… and waited… for some help… and finally gave up and sat ourselves. As we walked by, the owner was perched at the bar — I say perched because she looks like an angry Harpy! And we sat at a table and waited… and waited… and finally were given menus and water… and we waited… and waited… And finally got fed up and WALKEDOUT! There is a reason there are only 5 parking stalls… because the place never gets busy… people wait… and wait… and finally give up and leave! You are NOT the only unique place in town! We were here 2 years ago and it was NOT like this! Try some customer service!

A hidden gem amongst the hills of West Virginia. We were in town for a nearby festival and hoping for a little adventure. We found a great wine and shine tasting in this charming, tucked away place. The lemon cello slushie was delicious and the food was great, though I warn that if you’re from DC you may be caught by surprise by the large portion size. Enjoy!
