We took a large group of kids the day before Thanksgiving. I am glad we called a head because it was very busy. They had planned for us and set us up in the side room, which was great.
I loved how they had all the paint color options on the wall painted onto a ceramic West Virginia piece.
Pro:
1. they have a lot of different options, in different sizes and price points.
2. They did not charge a sitting fee, just cost of the item
3. 2 bathrooms, which was great since it was busy and we had little kids
4. a small play area with chalk board and chairs for the little ones who finished early and were board.
5. They had art work and pottery for sale from other local artists.
6. Classes and programs.
7. The place was clean and organized.
8. the staff was really friendly.
9. a wide variety of choices for different ages and ability (our group had kids from 2 years old thru 11 years old).
10. There was a nice selection of brushes on the tables. We had everything we need (aside form extra paper towels) on the table.
11. They put the kids paint on small tiles, which was nice for the little kids.
Con:
1. Parking is difficult. Its street parking, and speedway is a busy street with large trucks.
2. It was a little confusing coming in for your first time, of what the process is. The register is at the back of the store.

Mountain Creative is a locally owned paint your own pottery shop. The owners are super nice. They have a great selection of pieces to paint. They also offer pottery classes and have space for parties. We had my daughter’s party there. It was a busy weekend and they were booked solid, but we never felt rushed and they were very attentive. It was very affordable as well.
