A real divey sports bar, populated by local Steelers fans, students from nearby FSU, and the occasional townie tweaker. Pretty interesting scene, with a decent selection of reasonably priced domestic beers and some standard bar food that was also nicely priced. We ordered the wings(on Sunday, wings are 50 cent a piece), which took around 45 minutes for us to get. We assume that they bake their wings(and I assume most other typically fried entrees) and so getting them to temperature must have been a task. We also ordered the wings«hot,» which was so mild that it seemed like a joke. I can’t imagine what the actual mild must be like(just butter???). That said, the flavor of the sauce was actually very good and well-seasoned. Pricing is odd, in that they will charge you an additional $ 2.50 if your tab is only alcohol, regardless of the price. But if you buy $ 5 worth of food, that fee is waived. I have no idea what sort of law or price scheme that this practice fulfills. All in all, a pretty cool little bar that I would stop back by whenever I’m in the area. I love a good dive, but I can understand why people would be turned off. Don’t go unless you want to experience a seriously local spot!
