Last Monday evening, June 6th, we were visiting Fairport via a houseboat rental, and we arrived in town around 9:30pm. Most restaurants were closed at this time. Called the Fairport Village Inn, and the man who entered the phone said to come on down. About 15 minutes later, my girlfriend, her daughter and I enter, and the bartender tells us to have a seat. He was by himself, working the bar and serving our food. He took his time, made suggestions, and provided great service. The food was fantastic. My girlfriends daughter is vegan, and he was able to accommodate her as well. Not once did we feel rushed. I don’t remember his name, but he is an asset to the business. Thank you for making us feel at home. Much appreciated

Great food, little wait time. Everything was hot! The waitress Taylor was the best waitress we ever had. Kudos to her and how she handled all her tables, greeted each customer with a smile especially on an extremely busy night. We will be back!

These guys are very good at what they do! We were in on a busy Friday night and had a fish fry and haddock French. Both were tasty, served hot and prepared well. Prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. If you are looking for a townie type of place, you can’t do any better!

Good neighborhood restaurant, good value. Food is much better than you’d think, with pub and local dinner favorites(Chicken French, Chicken Parm, steaks, haddock, etc.), and way better food here than the chain restaurants(Applebees, Olive Garden, etc., frozen chain food). Can get busy on weekends, so you might make your first visit during the week. They are open Mondays, but the menu is simpler since the usual chef has the night off. Very good wings, pub fries. Friendly place. Recommended. Update 4÷21÷16: My favorite entrée is the blackened haddock(spicy but not hot), with cole slaw, and the«village fries»(my favorite side). Village fries are fresh whole potatoes cut into wedges and fried — great potato taste, done fresh, and nicely crisp. Try dipping in mayo or tartar sauce instead of ketchup for something different. The side salads are very good, mixed greens and interesting toppings. If youre a fish fry person(a Rochester tradition), try the Friday fish fry. The portions are huge, even the smaller version. My Dad likes it a lot. Chicken Parm is a safe bet too. Wings are my favorite app here. Ive heard that they do them smoked but havent tried them yet.

Clam chowder, good Scallops wrapped in bacon, tasty Fish fry, HORRIBLE When I complained go the waitress, she went to another waitress, and that waitress fielded the complaint, they never went to the manager with the complaint, and expensive too, I will not be going back…

Every town has one — the Village Inn. I go there because it’s my Village Inn, even though I live in a nearby town. I go there because it serves the coldest beer, the best wings, the scotchiest scotch, and everyone at the bar is someone I’ve worked with, work with, or in the same High School class. Even after 30 years of moving around to/from CA, AZ, TX, NC, VA, when someone says let’s go to the Village Inn, my first thought is «it’s a hell of a drive to Fairport.» So I’ve been in my share of Village Inns, but FVI is really the best. If you have not indulged in the Prime Rib Nights, overindulged during the Friday Fish Fry, or enjoyed the beer and wings camaraderie during a Sunday afternoon of football, then you are missing out. And yes, I’m back for good.(I hope…)

Unilocal came to the rescue when we were looking for a Steelers bar! This place was exactly what we needed. Local place, good beers, good wings, and large screens showing football everywhere you look. Lots of energy from the Steelers fans! I ordered the Festival(cajun/BBQ/Medium) wings, while dining partner ordered half hot and half extra hot. 10 wings for $ 10! Wings were really good! Very meaty, flavorful, and a nice kick. Dining partner enjoyed his wings, and the extra hot was… burning! Our server made sure we had enough water(came in handy for those hot wings!), and was very friendly. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a casual place to hang out and watch some football. Great bar for Steelers fans!

The Fairport V.I. is awesome! The pulled pork burrito is amazing(along with all of the rest of their food) and the bartenders are all about their jobs. They love working there and it’s very personable when you walk in the door! They remember you and are super welcoming. They do have a lunch and dinner menu that switches over but they will accommodate you any time of the day(honestly). You don’t see that very much anymore. Keeping it real in good old Fairport at the Village Inn. The perfect place to go and eat if you don’t know where to go!

Loved my meal at Fairport Village Inn. The wings were exceptional. Wished I had ordered hot but mum can’t handle the heat. Dad had the Beef Straganoff special for $ 10. Very good. Mum had the lobster Mac and cheese. Lots of lobster. Addictive. I had chicken Francais. Very good. Large portions. Atmosphere is laid back, upscale pub. Service attentive and friendly. Owner came over to check with us, a nice touch. Also, the house Pinot Noir was best ever had. Will be back.

Paid $ 9 for four frozen chicken tenders and a baby handful of French fries. Very underwhelming on the portion sizes for the price. It was good food, but I would appreciate getting what I pay for.

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. My husband is a wing afficionado and says these are the BEST wings anywhere. I love the lobster mac and cheese, the breaded shrimp, the beef on wick, etc… Great Fairport establishment!

I love wings and I think the wings here are some of the best hands down, they are also pretty consistent. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Nice neighborhood bar filled with regulars who never make you feel out of place. This is a great place to hang out with friends or for a quiet night with your significant other for a beer and some wings. Honestly I have not had anything but the wings in a very long time.

I’ve been going to the Village Inn since the 90’s when I found out the wings were good. I actually found out the wings are awesome. To this day I try to find better and I’ve come close, but just not there. The owners and staff are super friendly, the popcorn is free, they have Guinness on tap and the wings are something they can brag about. That’s why I go. I’ve heard the rest of their food is very good and I’d like to try their burgers soon.

Friendly football crowd on a Sunday, certainly if you’re a Steelers fan. Lot’s of screens to view in a little space. Regular bar food bites, I heard the garlic wings are good. I’m not sure why they are pegged with«seafood», I think they have a Friday fishfry, but they hardly specialize in seafood.

Kenny is the bartender/manager/host! I relocated from Indianapolis and I must say. This is as close to «Hoosier» hospitality you will find in the NY. I’ve been in here maybe 5 times and he remember my name and my family. Service is amazing!!! I have had wings all over the country and nothing compares to the Festival wings here! Add a southern tier ipa and you are all set!!! Enjoy!!!
