As far as Hallmarks go, this was just o.k., to alright. If you go to enough different Hallmark stores you’ll notice subtle differences, in sizes, layouts and selections. At this location(a Gold Crown store) there is a definite focus, which weighs heavily on the gift and decorations merchandise, much more than cards. There basically had three aisles fixtures of cards,(about the same as Target), i.e. too little for my choice. The cards are located at the back of the store, so you have to walk through 50 feet of knick-knacks to get to the cards. As I will never be purchasing anything from the multitude of items that could be charitably described as «collectibles,» or the life sized plush canines, standing guard every four feet, either for myself or for a gift for anyone else(even if they asked for them, no!), I was disappointed to have waded through that mass only to arrive at the, IMO, meager choices of cards. I can completely understand that the business model may need to change as fewer people buy and mail physical cards, but there may be a tipping point when the original core business is abandoned for a more sustaining market focus. This store makes me think that the tip has been crossed. I may have glimpsed the future, and it may be eCards and Precious Moments. Double Sad Face.
