If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. I went there last summer to try wedding gowns. I let them know before I came that I was a plus-sized girl and they said that was fine. EVERYTHING that they tried on me was at most a size 12 and they tried to say«This is what it will look like when you get your size!» as they have it clamped to my bra in the back. The girl actually ripped one dress trying to get it on me. Then, as I tried them on, they would ask me questions and I would tell them what I envisioned — some involving alterations. The were so negative about my viewpoints that I ended up crying on the podium in one of the dresses. Most awful dress experience for a bride, when it should be the most exciting one. I hope their new management turns this around.

It really sucks that all of the other Unilocalers have had such a horrible experience here. The business is under new management(thankfully) and it seems to be a completely different place. I hope letting other people know that will allow them to try this place. After a horrible experience somewhere else, my friend decided to do some serious research on the style of wedding dress she liked and who the designers were. She stumbled upon this place and decided to come with just her mom at first to scope it out and see how the customer service was. She had a great experience and found 3 dresses but was pretty sure one of them was ‘the one’ so she invited others to come along with her on Saturday to see what we thought and then make a decision. Saturday I got there and my friend and her mom were already there and had the 3 dresses she liked pulled and ready for her in a fitting room. As soon as I was visible I was greeted and asked if I wanted coffee, water, or a mimosa(Yes, I did want a mimosa — it was fantastic). Once I had my mimosa we were brought to a nice seating area in front of a 3 way mirror and pedestal that my friend would come out on and show the dress and she was off. The consultants come into the room with you and help you get the dress on and clipped perfectly before anyone sees you so when they see you in the dress it is ‘the final product’. The dresses were all beautiful and when she came out the consultant was great about fluffing up the dress where necessary and making sure it looked perfect every time my friend turned around. Once she put ‘the one’ one they pulled some veil options as well as some hair clips since she doesn’t know what she wants at this time. They helped make suggestions the whole time and made sure she knew what she wanted and if she didn’t know they helped her figure it out. While she was trying on her dress I happened to find a few bridesmaids dresses that we liked and last minute opted to try them on. It was great. As I said earlier, the consultant comes in with you and helps make sure the dress looks great before you leave the dressing room. Once I had on a dress we went out and picked one that we would like to go back for and have the rest of the bridesmaids look at. If you get a wedding dress there, the bridesmaids get $ 25.00 of their dress. The dressing room doors are chalk boards and after the bride writes her name on the door the consultants ask those who are with her to write something on the board as well which was fun. I would highly suggest this place. The only real negatives is there for the bridal part of the shop is quite small. There is a different part of the shop that is for prom dresses and there is a big selection of those dresses. I hope people will give this place a try now that it is under new management. I can’t imagine how awful that Heather person was.

Heather, the owner, sold me the sample wedding dress I tried on and tried to pass it off as new! I had paid for rush shipping, waited a couple months, and then got the damaged and dirty sample I originally tried on. I was left without a dress three weeks before my wedding!!! They are not a member of the better business bureau… stay away!!!

This store was a whole lot of nope. I walked in with my family, trying to find a dress and was COMPLETELYIGNORED by the staff for about 15 minutes. Then we left. What?!

I had a fantastic experience! The owner, Heather, helped me personally without an appointment! She was very patient and listened to my preferences and dislikes without judgment. She discouraged me from trying dresses outside my price range and that would not look good on my body type. I am a student on a budget and the groom is a disabled veteran. She took that into consideration and I wound up with a beautiful dress on the clearance rack that is in great condition. It was one of the easiest dress buying experiences I’ve heard of and I am thrilled with my find– both in appearance and price. I would recommend anyone looking for a Maggie dress, or even if you’re unsure, to go there. Heather was fantastic and provided stellar customer service! I can’t wait to go back and get my bridesmaid dresses there!

Out of all the bridal shops I visited, this one was just pathetic. This is a budget bridal salon and I was open to it. However, we walked in and I knew right away this wasn’t going to be the place for me. I was not looking for a glitzy, rhinestone covered dress, but that was all they had. My mother and I started looking at the dresses and they were all quite tacky. And DIRTY. The dresses weren’t in bags and you could see makeup stains on the dresses. The bottoms of the dresses were dark and dingy and very unkempt. Even if you’re a budget salon, take care of your dresses! I didn’t want to get in dirty dresses. The«consultant» asked if I was finding everything ok and I said I’m actually looking for something without bling on it. She then told me «Well, why don’t you look in the bridesmaids dress. They’re a little more plain and they can all come in white.» I couldn’t believe she told a bride that she should wear a bridesmaid dress. That’s when we walked out.

As a bridesmaid, I was appalled by the«customer service» I received from the owner of this shop. She promised the bride she was able to get the dress she wanted on a tight turnaround & was unable to deliver. Watching the bride’s face fall, I decided to call a bridal shop I know of in Brooklyn & see if there were floor models that I could pick up when I get back to the city. While I was doing this, the owner was shoving the bride into every dress she has, trying to make a sale despite the fact that none of the dresses were remotely what the bride wanted. Apparently the owners daughter overheard me calling my bridal shop in NYC and the owner started screaming at me like a wild banshee. I understand the pain of losing a sale but screaming at customers and trying to cram a bride into a dress that she doesn’t want just to make a sale is a poor way to run a business — especially when the dress the bride wants is in fact available in a completely different city.(I intentionally did NOT call a Rochester local store as those are direct competition, in my eyes.) We’d also planned to purchase 6 bridesmaid dresses there for around $ 300 each but but I can tell you that after being screamed at by the owner for attempting to fix her mistake, I will not be wearing anything from her shop any time soon. Additionally, I was eying one of her dresses for my wedding but she’s lost my business for life. They say NYers are rude, but I’ve never been treated that rudely by a shop owner in my years of living in NYC.

I have had such a wonderful experience with this store throughout my wedding planning. After a terrible experience at another store, it was nice to have attentive staff that really listened to my budget and what I was looking for. They found my dress almost immediately! They even helped me order it in a special size so that I didn’t have to get alterations, which saved me so much money. The dress came in 2 months early and they called me immediately. Since then, they’ve kept in touch and were helpful in planning when I can drop off my dress and veil to be steamed. I love One Enchanted Evening!

One enchanted evening has turned out to be one excruciating nightmare. My sister is getting married October 11th2009 and we ordered our bridesmaids dresses at the end of July. We were told that we would have them the first week of September but some are not here yet. And the ones that are, look so different from the pictures. We have called numerous times to speak with Heather but are told that she is either away for the week or just stepped out of the office. When we finally got her on the phone, she laughed at the notion that she said we would have the dresses in September. She called us liars and we resent the implication. Apart from a failure to own up to her end of the transaction, she promised she would call the manufacturer and call us back but we still haven’t gotten a call from her. To add insult to injury, my sister’s wedding gown is cream instead of the pure white she ordered and Miss Heather won’t take that back either, even though the gown is unworn. Well, the wedding is in two weeks, we are concentrating on finding other dresses but we will pursue legal action after the festivities because I believe that this should not be legally permissible. In the meantime, I would urge anyone thinking of One Enchanted Evening to think twice because you will be in for a NIGHTMARE… like the one we are living.
