Before moving to the area from Florida, I had never heard of Gordmans. Now that I’ve checked it out, I agree with Anastasia in that it’s not too bad for a department store akin to Kohl’s. I have to say that I’m not a big fan of their clothes. Nothing really stood out to me as super cute(or maybe I just wasn’t in the mood to pay full price for clothes after thrifting all day haha). They do have a big selection of women’s clothing; I don’t remember any men’s clothing, but there was a section for kids’ clothing(and a cute area where they can sit in front of a tv while you shop, I guess). Other than clothes, they have a good amount of home décor which I would totally go for if I had enough wall space in my home and money to spend to make it pretty! The items at Gordmans are fairly reasonably priced, cheaper than Pier 1 but more expensive than IKEA(which St. Louis needs to get asap). All in all, not too bad.

I’m such a Gordman’s fan. I always buy my basic tanks here becaus you simply can’t beat $ 4.99. This store is a bit cramped but not terribly so. You can still maneuver with a cart, and if you’re like me, you need a cart to carry out all the goodies. I love that they have huge departments, and there is always clearance. For me, that department just so happens to be located near the shoes. God must really love me! Their shoe department is pretty great. Their shoes are a great price to begin with but once they go on clearance, you can get up to an additional 30−50% off. Steve Maddens for $ 25? Heck, yes! I can usually do 75−90% of my shopping for Christmas at one store because of Gordman’s and their selection. They even carry some hard to find colognes and perfumes. Amazing deals on Kathy VanZealand bags, and very neat home décor items. I’m not a fan of paying full price, so Gordman’s is my go-to. If you hit it regularly, you can find some fantastic finds. Name brand jeans, close outs, etc.

For what it is(another Kohl’s), I suppose it’s decent. They don’t carry the brands I generally go for, but their household goods selection was pretty nifty. I ended up buying a semi-formal dress for $ 16 and a picture with my favorite poem/prose«Desiderata» printed underneath a tree for $ 20. I didn’t care to spend a great deal on time in the store, but from what I saw, you could drop a bit just on furnishings alone.

They say it’s «something unexpected» but I’m not really all that surprised to always find something I love at this store. Whether it’s clothes for me or my family, housewares, cologne/perfume accessories, you name it… There is always good deals to be had on super great items!!! I wish there was one a tad closer, but I will gladly drive to shop here ;)

I checked out this store for the first time recently, and it was pretty big. It reminded me of when I lived in California and visited Ross stores. A lot of clothing to check out, fragrances, jewelry, etc. However, I had a major problem with them nonshalauntly sending security to watch my mother and I try on sunglasses. Yes, I work out. Yes, I can appear dangerous at times, but my mother and I aren’t a shoplifting threat — thanks.
