Had my first Del’s of the season at this location. Nothing beats their frozen lemonade on a balmy summer afternoon in New England. Except this location is a bit shady… I’m not too familiar with this portion of Fall River, but the block this Del’s was located on was a bit seedy. Also, the guys working this stand had zero knowledge about customer service and also looked like shady characters. If you drive here, I’d grab your lemonade and head for a nicer part of town.

growing up in fall river, massachusetts, i have the fondest memories of the first summer day that would be unbearably hot. living in a house without air conditioning, and, of course, as a kid being unable to ride my bike far enough for some reprieve, i would wait for my dad to come home from work in his truck, and hope that i would look chubby and sweaty enough for him to have some compassion. «hot? lemonade?» and hence we would head a ways down the road and into the city, my mother, father and i packed into the truck, for the first del’s of the summer. and boy is it refreshing. sweet, cold, slushy, not chunked with ice, but bits of lemon throughout, this is just one of those pleasant summer vacation memories of my childhood, where the whole family would happily sip slush in a hot paved parking lot. go figure. i guess it’s the little things… but just the same, the promise of a del’s is enough to get excited about any heat wave in a new england summer.

I love their lemonade but this place is a little sketchy!
