Good food, many Chinese places come and go and this one is being here for a long time. And people do great job there I love their food and won’t eat at another Chinese in Fall River

This place should be called UNhappy garden. First, the woman who answered the phone was very rude to me. Then, my general tso’s chicken was soggy. The best part was the piece of BONE that I found in my chicken. I won’t be going back there again. Fall River has a lot of good Chinese restaurants and this place is NOT one of them. Stay away.

Out of all the Chinese restaurant in Fall River, this one is the best to my opinion. If you like boneless spare ribs, this is the place to eat them from, the crab Rangoon is really good, so is their chow mein.

Don’t know why there are so few glowing reviews… this place is awesome! I recently moved this week and wanted to try a new Chinese food place that delivers, this place fit the bill. Very cheap for how much food I got. I spent $ 11 and got a quart of wonton soup, along with the beef/broccoli combo with fried rice and an egg roll. Both were delicious, and the delivery person was very nice! This will definitely be a new delivery hot spot for me :)

In my opinion although it lacks service, this is still the best Chinese food i have had in this city. My food is always warm. I’ve ordered from this restaurant ever since it opened and has only had one problem with my order. I’ve tried other Chinese food around the area and they don’t come close.

You call and your placed on hold for what seems like forever and your annoyed, but when the food arrives less that 20 minutes later you quickly realize why it was that you dealt with the minor annoyance. Today my lovely fiancé and I order a Pu Pu Plater for one and Orange Chicken. For starters the fact that they divide the Pu Pu in half for you is awesome, but I digress. The food is delish and the best in town although the fried rice is better somewhere is that’s why it only gets four stars. The orange chicken was crispy to perfect as requested and all in all not a disappointment at the Happy Garden!

I really wish I read these reviews before my co-workers and I ordered lunch from here the other day. What a complete and utter disappointment. I will never order food from here again. I’m guessing this place stays in business because apparently there are some people who actually like the food from here.. . two of my co-workers picked this place over another when we were choosing where to order from. Most likely, they have a few dishes that are winners(from what I read General Tso’s Chicken may be one). So unless you’ve already figured out which ones these are.. . I’d suggest finding a new restaurant to order from. I called in, placed the order(which we reviewed several times), and repeated over and over again where the food was to be delivered. The delivery guy still didn’t know where to go when he arrived, but, benefit of the doubt.. . sometimes it can be difficult to figure out where we are. When we were able to go through all the food we discovered that instead of sending 2 wonton soups, they delivered 1 and a random chow mein. Since we were ordering for a large amount of people, I considered it understandable that things may have gotten mixed up. We called back so that we could get the wonton soup we ordered. Now.. . this has happened on several occasions with other places. We call, they deliver what should have been delivered, apologize for their mistake, and we say its no big deal. Not this time!!! The women on the other end insisted we ordered the chow mein and refused to deliver a wonton soup. She then went on to yell at us in Chinese and hung up! Extremely rude! Annoyed by this encounter, I waited for my lunch break and finally sat down with my food. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein.. . and it was absolutely disgusting. The beef was stringy and fatty, the noodles limp and flavorless. I ended up picking at the noodles until I couldn’t take it anymore and got something different from the cafeteria. Like I said, I’ll never order from here again. After reading the other reviews, I am completely cemented with my decision.

What once was Happy Garden; now is Sad Garden. My wife and I used to order from here quite often when we lived nearby. Aside from a few mishaps, the food was pretty good. Here’s some background information on Happy Garden: This establishment has no climate control inside their building, so it’s steaming hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. There is also very little visibility into the kitchen where the food is prepared. These should’ve been initial red flags, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Regarding myself — My favorite meal at Happy Garden was always General Tso’s Chicken, which I can’t complain about. The sauce has good flavor and the portions are good for the money. Well sometimes it’s a little too spicy for my liking, but let’s not be picky. In addition to General Tso’s Chicken, I can’t order Chinese food without getting Crab Rangoons on the side, just can’t do it. Plus, generally Happy Garden had great tasting Crab Rangoons. Here’s where things take a turn for the worse. One summer, my wife and I order our usual meals. She gets Shrimp with Garlic Sauce and I get General Tso’s Chicken; plus an order of Crab Rangoons. As we bite into our prized Rangoon a semi-sweet and sour curdled milk taste squirts into our mouths, you heard right… Blahh! Apparently, Happy Garden doesn’t know how to refrigerate their perishables. Needless to say, we scrapped the rest of the rangoons and finished our main meals. After that occurrence, we stayed away for a while. Fast forward a few months — we decide to give Happy Garden another chance. This time, my wife’s shrimp with garlic sauce had ROTTENSHRIMP! There’s nothing left to say… Except– This Garden is not happy anymore…
