Horrible! Duped! Terrible! Waste Of Money! A Bad High School Dance! All words to describe this company and event. Went with a groupon for the Haunted Halloween Cruise on Friday. Drove all the way from Boston to attend! We should have knew something was off when we received an email the night before saying they were delaying the cruise by 1hr. We arrived timely, per the groupon details, and still had to wait out in the cold for 10mins until the gate opened. You would never know where this ship leaves from in the Battleship Harbor because there is no sign directing you! The cruise itself started 1 hr late. We were about to leave the ship due to the lateness but we just happened to leave the dock when we came to that conclusion. There was nothing haunted about this cruise other than the scary bad decorations! There were about 20 people on this cruise and NOONE was happy. The DJ was someone who terribly needs a friend to tell him to get a real job. The snack food were finger sandwiches that looked like they were quickly whipped together. They were not edible in my mind. The crew of the ship know their cruise sucks major ones and they don’t care. I feel like the owner was just trying to make money off of people, like a scam. Oh and did I mention it was a 4hr trip??? Yes we were surprised about that! If they even give the tickets away for free, don’t take it!!!

We got a groupon to take this cruise, and we honestly enjoyed ourselves, but like another reviewer said, that had to do with the company more so than the cruise itself. The people I was with though the food was good, I thought it was more on par with an cheap hotel’s free breakfast(although admittedly with plenty more choices). My biggest beef, however, was with the handicapability(or rather lack thereof). I am disabled, and called in advance to make sure the cruise could accommodate me. They said they could. They also told others the same, including a frail-looking elderly lady and her adult daughter in a cast boot sitting at our table, who also called and were told it would be fine. Fortunately, I only have one bad leg, and can do stairs if absolutely necessary(although not with anything in my hands as I need to use the rails). Some of the passengers on board, however, were not as lucky. They didn’t happen to tell us that the food was buffet style down a flight of stairs, as was all the beverage service(my poor husband had to do repeated trips to get us both waters and both coffees, since I was evidently helpless on board). And the bathrooms were also downstairs. I only hope the paraplegic on board didn’t ever have to pee, as I assume he too was misinformed about the accommodations. On top of this, staff were rude about the fact that I could not get my own food — when a staff member informed our table that it was time to go get our food, I told him I had to wait for my husband to get back with my coffee because I couldn’t serve myself and get back to my seat safely. He said if we didn’t go now, we would have to wait until the end, and said so pretty sassily. He later apologized, and honestly I don’t hold it against him, but I do hold it against the cruise that they said they could handle me and can’t. On top of that, we had the same experience as another reviewer that it was very disorganized. The parking wasn’t great, where to wait was unclear, and we too waited in line for quite a while(and they were still setting tables as we very, very slowly boarded the ship). There were no announcements during boarding or during food service, just a lot of chaos. Then a while into the boat ride they started announcing sites outside the boat… couldn’t that same PA system have been used to let us know why boarding was taking so long, or informing us about how the food/drink service was going to work, or of anything else? Seemed unreasonably disorganized, like this was their first attempt at a brunch cruise ever. I would definitely not do it again, and if you or anyone you’re traveling with is disabled, don’t even consider it!

Terrible customer service on a travelzoo deal. On the date we were to take this cruise, my mother ended up in the emergency room(she badly sprained her ankle in part because the parking situation was so messed up there!). We were actually on our way to the boat when it happened. When I contacted the company to see if we could rebook I was flatly told no. That 1) I should have called(I called the next day, what good would it do to call and from the emergency room??) 2) the rest of the dates were booked and 3) their«policy» would not allow. After several emails with a person who had no decision making ability, I asked could we possibly work out a deal, seeing as we paid $ 240, for a rebook for next season for three people instead of the 6 we booked. Essentially paying full price for three people, and asked that her manager call me. Needless to say, no call. I do understand that companies have«policies», but most customer service oriented ones will be flexible and at least meet you halfway. I waited to write this review to see if I could work something out., and maybe have a story of good will. I rarely write bad reviews for service issues, because I tend to discount those, but this was too egregious to ignore.

IF I could give ZEROSTARS or negative 10 stars I would. I agree with the previous reviewer Scott M, but I would go as far to say that I wouldn’t take this cruise again if I was bound & gagged!!! The cruise was fun, but that was because I brought fun people. Besides us there was maybe 5 people aboard. But we would have had fun anywhere. & I’ll even admit the food was so-so. Honestly the folks I had to deal with regarding booking a large group & payment — «the management people» were absolutely HORRENDOUS to deal with. I wish I could file charges against them for being HORRIBLEHUMANBEINGS(especially G) It’s sad because the Fall River waterfront could really use this type of attraction.

I recently bought a «groupon» for the breakfast buffet cruise. They make you stand in line and wait to board the ship for over an hour. The cruise was suppose to leave at 11:30 a.m. and we didn’t board the ship until after 12:00. That was the first strike. The food was some of the worst food that I have ever eaten. The fish was dry and tasteless and everything else was just awful. They ran out of bacon and didn’t replace it until everyone was done eating. I wouldn’t take this cruise again if it was free.
