Stopped in to check out some pies. I was worried they may be sold out since I stopped by in the afternoon. But they have everything on their menu board. They also had a large case of desserts that were insanely cheap. $ 1.00 for a cupcake? $ 2.50 for a container of bread pudding? So worth it. I’ve only tried the famous pork mini pie so far. It was good, but was surprised when it was more of a pork meatball inside the thick pie crust. Definitely worth the stop to check them out though. Service was very friendly as well.

I’m a newbie to pork pies… we went Saturday morning about 11a. it was very busy. the lady behind the counter, must have sensed we were ‘lost’… even though it was very busy. .she took the time to explain about meat pues, the gravy that goes with, the history and of course, the carrot cake :-)
We bought a mixed dozen small pies to take home. we will be back !!!
my fav, was the chicken pot pie…

I just wish they would ship their pies!
For years, we’ve driven from Baltimore to the Cape overnight to avoid traffic. Hartley’s changed all of that. We now time our bi-annual trip north to arrive at Hartley’s at mid-morning.
I dream of the chorizo mini pies, and my husband dreams of the buffalo chicken and the chorizo. We were not overwhelmed by the pork pie, but to be fair, we had it several days after purchase and without the sauce. I’ll have to try it fresh next time.
Also used some of our mini pies to pay to stay at friends houses… Next time I’m bringing a cooler for the ride home so we can stock up!

I came here the other day and was amazed at their low prices. We bought 2 large pies and 3 little pies and it only came to $ 23! There is no seating space inside so you can tell that this is a business catered to the people who want to take everything to go. I tried the buffalo chicken pie and it was delicious! I had it cold and it was really good. Not too spicy, but I could still tell that it was buffalo chicken. I would definitely go back and get some more and I would heat them up this time because I bet they’re even better warm. Also, the cash register being used was what I am guessing the original cash register for the store so it is not electronic and it’s made out of wood so this place definitely gets benny points for that
