Not a bad place at all. I can’t say I’m a fan, but for the services they offer, I can’t complain. I definitely wouldn’t go here if I were insured, BUT… If you are low-income and don’t have any money for insurance, this is the place you should go to for all your gynecological/obstetrician needs. I came here several months ago because I had no money and no insurance. If it wasn’t for my health issues, I probably would’ve forgoed this place and only come when I had an emergency; I don’t like going to doctors. I like this place because it was super convenient. If you’ve ever been to Fallbrook, you would know that it’s a smallish town in which you have to go out of town to buy stuff and supplies. Needless to say I was surpised that this town offers a couple of community health clinics, which my best friend told me about after telling her about my health and financial situation. The initial visit and registration is a nightmare but I expected it. I had to give my old paperwork and fill out a couple of forms, plus wait until I could finally see a nurse(even though my scheduled appointment was 1.5 hours ago). Apparently they’ve had first-time people come in in the past to pick up papers and make appointments, but they’d never follow up on their appointments… so technically my scheduled appointment was a «dummy”/waitlist appointment. Fabulous. Depending on the time of day you go in, it can be very crowded with lots of kids, pregnant women, and their partners. Waiting room is medium sized and has a TV and DVD player/VCR that will often play movies to distract the children(doesn’t help, though). I’m not really a fan of having a lot of people and kids around me, but for the most part I haven’t had any child be outright obnoxious towards me(thankfully). I haven’t really had an appointment that was right on schedule, unfortunately. I was always seen immediately by a CNA who weighed me and took my blood pressure, but my nurse was always 10 – 30 minutes late(yep, I don’t see a doctor, just a RN). Other than that, decent place. :) Like I said, ONLY go here if you are in a bad financial situation. They offer SEVERAL different birth control for patients(including permanent sterilization… can’t complain about that!).
