This was my first time to visit the Pumpkin Patch at Lavender Hill Pumpkins. It was a great experience! We were able to wander around the Pumpkin Patch with a wheel barrow and pick out what pumpkins we liked to bring home. There was a huge variety of pumpkins to choose from and the owners were very knowledgeable about the different kinds and were very friendly and shared with everyone who asked about the different kinds. I really liked how the owners Farmer Libby and Farmer Mike took their time with each guest and talked to them. The farmer Libby even had her guitar there where she played and sang a song to each guest as their receipt. She told us that she is trying to save trees and not use paper receipts. My daughter was in a funk when we first got there, but soon after Libby sang some personalized songs for her, she perked up and was cheered up right away and went on to have a lot of fun. Farmer Mike showed my daughter all different kinds of pumpkins and told her the names of them. After we picked out our pumpkins farmer Libby sang a few more songs of my daughter’s choice for her. My daughter was asking where the rides and ponies were and they did not have any of that, but they explained to her that this is a farm that grows pumpkins. They did have a swing hanging from the tree that was their granddaughters and lots of kids partook of this swing fun. I really enjoyed our visit to this Pumpkin Patch!

Mike & Libby do a great job with their family owned pumpkin patch and you even get a a «singing receipt» from Libby with her guitar. Great selection of regular, giant or exotic pumpkins.

Great fun place. Traditional pumpkin patch., away from busy roads. Got some great pics of the kids. And they set aside pumpkins for purchase if you don’t feel like picking up dirty and possibly overripe pumpkins in the patch. Cash Only. Also the elderly couple seemed genuinely upset about some of the negative reviews about their expecting and demanding kids behave. And to the poster who thought it was a good idea to bring your dog to a pumpkin patch where people walk around and pick up things from the ground where your dog may defecate, come in! I’m glad they didn’t allow your animal. If you don’t need them to walk, the pet doesn’t need to walk with you everywhere.

First time at Lavender Hills, and it did not disappoint. So many different varieties to choose from, and the prices are so much more reasonable than I expected! Prices range from $ 5 to $ 40, with the average pumpkin running about $ 10.

A beautiful pumpkin farm with pumpkins you won’t find anywhere else. We have family that drives in from Orange County just for these pumpkins. We have found the owners charming and fun. Can be expensive if you want a spectacular and different pumpkin… but you get what you pay for. As for the people complaining that the owners chastised your«boys for being boys» … well, the other patrons don’t really enjoy that behavior either. Sorry. This will be our third year! We are excited to see what was planted.

I have been coming to this pumpkin patch for years for two reasons variety and quality of pumpkins. I love how you can walk around the farm with a wheelbarrow and pick out your own pumpkins. The owners are very friendly too. I brought my son last year and one of the owners got out her guitar and sang him a song. I love this place.

Came here with my son and had a good time. It’s the cute, classic pumpkin patch that gets you into the Holliday spirit. Bring cash, they don’t accept credit. my only complaint is the pumpkins are a tad bit expensive but the experience is well worth it.

Could be a gem of a spot in our little Fallbrook town… but the owner REALLY let us down and my kids and I left empty handed and very disappointed! Charming pumpkin patch with a true country feel, and pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and varieties on and off the vine. I never knew there were so many kinds and the owner loves to talk about all the different kinds– which is actually very interesting. BUT she made us feel very UNwelcome after scolding our kids and their friends for a few boys doing something they had no idea they weren’t allowed to do(just being boys out in nature), going on and on and telling them that no one told her they were all coming and she doesn’t accept«groups»! Then why are there signs advertising all over town and even on the Hwy if she gets upset when a big group of local kids and their moms come to support her?! It’s dumbfounding. She missed out on a big group of Fallbrook families supporting her and trying to spread the word to other people in our quaint community to try out local pumpkin patch– now we will all be going to support more welcoming and fun patches like Peltzer Farms and Bates Nut Farm in neighboring towns.

I went to this pumpkin patch with several friends and our children recently to enjoy a fall afternoon together and purchase pumpkins.

It was fun to pick out our pumpkins and had plenty to choose from. We still have not carved them and they are still looking good. We used them as door decorations. The owners were warm and friendly and the Mrs. played some cool songs to our kids as we were paying for them.

A great place to get a pumpkin and they have many varieties. Prices seemed average. This place is just for pumpkins and the owners and very nice. They do not sell anything else. Previous reviews said they take credit cards. THEYDONOTACCEPTCREDITCARDS — CASHANDCHECKSONLY!

Wide variety of pumpkins, some are pre picked and others you can cut off the vine. Great experience for both children and adults. It is a farm so there are not frilly rides and ponies. Very reasonably priced and very fresh. Will definitely be back next year.

On six acres with forty heirloom varieties of organic pumpkins, this place is as enchanting as they get. Enormous tufts of lavender line the long driveway. No corn maze, no pony rides, no schlock. The kids just grab a wheelbarrow and wander around to pick their favorite. A single rope swing dangles enticingly from a large pecan tree. A shockingly clean port-a-potty. The loquacious and endearingly eccentric Farmer Libby plays a silly song for the little ones on her guitar. The autumn light adds a sepia glow to all your photos. Have a picnic, write a haiku, enjoy the season.
