So I gave this place another shot. And I was just as disappointed as a time before. The food was terrible. It was Sunday with no TV showing the games. I can’t believe they’re still in business. I would not recommend going there for the food it is horrendous.

Brah, spent like $ 90 @ Magee’s Tavern and everything except the Beer, Wings, and atmosphere was Horrible! Flatbread pizza– tastes like frozen pizza Corn Beef and Cabbage– Cornbeef was dry cabbage not cooked all the way. Club sandwich– quality of the meat was Awesome! Avacado not ripe, and asked for extra cheese… and Nope. Wings are actually on Point! Beer was cold, Perfect. Everyone was Friendly. No Lies! I will be back, but i will be careful…

Don’t come for the food! Went in for lunch today asked if the shepherd’s pie was good. The bar tender said it was… oh man the worst pie ever. Greasy nasty frozen potatoes, nasty oily ground beef. And some frozen veggies on the side. The bar tender was nice but obviously just says the food is good or he had never had good shepherds pie before.

I went on date night with my husband and we started by drinking an awesome PB stout and shot shots shots :) ended with karaōke this night… From the time you walk in to time you leave you feel like family. The food is delish and there is always some new deal or interesting fun event going on… plus the bands and people who play and sing are amazing… recommended for a great time any night.

Terrible service. Can’t get food out fast enough. Shepard’s pie, great Fried avocados, amazing. But we went here because the place had absolutely no one there except the bar pretty much, and one of our party members just raved about the food. So we reluctantly went and I’m incredibly disappointed. They only had two soda options because they were either out of syrup or the drinks were gross. Waited sometimes 20 minutes for refills. Took well over a half an hour just to get appetizers. We were there for almost three hours and only 45 minutes was actually eating because of how long it was taking the kitchen. Considering how many people weren’t there, I was very disappointed. Food came out in 10 – 15 minute gaps for our party. Some people were done eating there plates(if they had waited any longer the food would have been cold) before some people even started. We ordered sandwiches, burgers, and tacos. It shouldn’t be that hard. One of our party members ended up dropping their order because they weren’t hungry anymore after waiting and everyone was done eating. His order was chicken tacos.

This place has seen a few changes and owners over the years but overall it’s always been a friendly local pub with good music and food. Not much of a drinker myself, I do enjoy an IPA on occasion and these folks have a good selection. For live music in Fallbrook, this is the place to go.

Well, after another email from the manager, I am convinced they are trying to accommodate to my complaints. They say to bring in my mug and they will pour it. So when it comes to complaints, they reach out and try to solve things. So I take down my review and give 4 stars.

Nice selection of tap beer and the locals were awfully interesting as well. Saturday night is karaōke biotch! Avocado egg rolls are delish. Next time I’m trying just the fried avos. I would have rated higher but they had tap issues when I was here, so I could only select from about half the offering. Certainly worth going back!

Magees has officially 100% redeemed themselves. The new menu is BOMB! We have come here two times in a row just so my husband can build his own grilled cheese sandwich! Such an awesome idea! The corned beef tacos are super tasty and the pizzas are amazing too! Way to go Magees! Oh, and the bartenders and servers are amazing too! AND Tuesday night is Trivia night, what a fun thing to do on a Tuesday night!

The service on a Friday night was incredibly slow. The entire time we were there we saw only one waitress. The onion rings were greasy, I found pieces of plastic in my grilled cheese and the salad and pizza were too garlicky. If I were to just have a drink at the bar I would’ve had a good night but unfortunately I will never eat there again.

The menu dropped Ahi Poke, Seared Ahi. Very popular. Does Robert Carr care more about his bottom line than the customers that LOVED these cuisine delights???

An Irish pub, no corned beef? It’s only Friday? No corned beef all weekend? What the heck! Hope the band is good.

Being to new to Fallbrook, my fiancée and I were looking for a local watering hole to hang out at. MaGee’s was the first one spotted from the main road. Parking was easy and fast. I could hear the country music playing from outside and strolled; only to be blown-away by some VERY interesting décor. Eclectic and diverse are two adjectives that just don’t do justice. I really like the establishments layout. The bar is HUGE and there is ample seating for groups or couples. There’s a small stage towards the back that allows for live performances and also a pool table to the rear. There is even local artwork from Fallbrook patrons, which adds to the vintage-pub feel. The jukebox system is wicked which allows customers to download a mobile app and make their selections remotely! The customer service was superb; attentive, friendly and social. Even though we are African-American, we never felt once discriminated or separated from the other patrons. The menu was diverse and had bar classics, tex-mex and some original avocado favs. From tacos, burgers, fried avocados, to wings; they got it here. We really had a blast here and I’d recommend it to anyone; Irish or not. :)

The bestie lives in Fallbrook… sigh. So I end up out there upon occasion. And once I’m there, I settle in for all day! If we’re not in her awesome house we’re out and about and MaGee’s is a likely spot to find us. There’s new owners but the menu has stayed pretty solid I hear. Our server brought us ALL the sauces for the boneless wings: Thanks lady! Delish, Ooo! And they’ve also got hard cider on tap. The BF had a burger and voted it sufficient: The breakfast menu has been reduced but as all the basic bases covered. It’s roomy too, pool tables in back(Hot in the summer though) and plenty of TV screens for sports(they’re cool about trying to cater to whomever is in the bar and what team they wanna see too) The only complaint I have is about seating. All the booths are up against this long wall and the TV’s behind the bar so you really can’ take proper advanatage of a four top and see the TVs: Half your party will have their backs facing to them. Maybe more screens of adjusted booths? Also, the Irish cartoon chick pictured on the tabletop flip menus is BLOND. What the heck? Where’s a redhead when ya need one hu? There’s a live music stage area, although there wasn’t anything going on up FOOTBALL on Sunday when I went of course. All in all: A great choice relativity for the area. Clean, friendly staff, kilts = Win.
