The place is different in a good way. It is located in an office building that’s in the middle of nowhere and everyone is so friendly. The staff was very nice and the food is amazing. I had the tri tip hash and potatoes and it was the best hash I’ve ever had. The seasoning is so amazing and the flavor is just perfect. I’ll definitely be back.

Good food and good service. The wife had the Cowboy burger and I had the Grilled Pastrami and Swiss on Rye. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. We will go back.

Dropped in the other morning for a try. Ordered the chicken fried steak which is what I use to judge a breakfast joint initially. It came out fast and was delicious. The gravy was tasty and the slab of hashbrowns were perfect… crispy on the outside. I do prefer a thicker steak than they make… double the thickness on it and you’ve got yourself a 5 star product. Service was great… at least 3 young ladies taking turns taking care of things. Ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito to go and that was delicious as well. Will be back with the wife.

A sale yard café isn’t a place you expect to have one of the better meals you’ve ate in a long time, nor one of the better restaurants in town. What a surprise. It was fairly busy inside, always a good sign in my opinion, but we managed to get an empty table. The waitress even though busy got us menus, and took our drink order quickly. She was one of those fun and sassy waitresses that makes a meal better just with her attitude. They have a «Cowboy Coffee» that’s a strong French Roast in addition to their house coffee. It was rich and delicious. After a quick rundown of the menu and specials I ordered the tri-tip hash and eggs. Tri-tip hash? Who would have thought that was even a thing? My order came up quickly even with how busy it was, and while pondering my hot sauce options from their fairly impressive selection on a shelf, the owner recommended a local hot sauce made up the rode. Now I know why. The sauce with egg yolks, on top of that hash was a mouthful of joy! I can’t wait to go back.

This was my first time coming here. I am very impressed. I had originally called in to see if they had a menu I could look at, unfortunately they didn’t but the waitress was nice enough to come up with a few suggestions. We narrowed it down and decided to go with the chicken wrap. Since they would be closing soon we went ahead and ordered them for pick up. The waitress was super friendly on the phone. When we showed up we actually had a little more time than we had anticipated and the food was already ready! We decided to go ahead and stay and eat in. I am glad we did. Our waitress was so friendly and had exceptional customer service skills. I highly recommend the chicken wrap it was delicious. It was nice to find a new place in Fallon with delicious food and exceptional service.

Saw some pictures of the Chuckwagon Burrito and enticed to see what that was like. Wow! Their sausage gravy is incredible and they are not shy about stuffing their burrito with ham, sausage, bacon eggs and potatoes. Everything I saw on the menu looked incredible(tri-tip hash) and from looking at everyone’s plate, their portions are huge! I think I have found my new breakfast joint.

Wow! This is my 2nd time coming to Fallon… on the first trip, I found this GREAT breakfast place called Courtyard Café, so naturally on my 2 me trip, I wanted to ensure it was the first breakfast place I ate at… well, I didn’t know they were closed on Sunday’s and I really wanted some good breakfast food… a quick search on Unilocal and I found The Running Iron Café… I don’t recall seeing this on my first trip, so I thought I would give it a try – it’s a bit outside of town, but thought 7 miles wasn’t too far. So glad I gave it a try! The daily special and the sweet cream pancakes were AMAZING! For true breakfast connoisseurs, you will appreciate this place!

You never really know what to expect when you go to a new, unknown restaurant. But their Facebook pictures were enticing enough that we decided to give it a whirl. No regrets. At all. And will be back. Every single item on the menu sounds amazing. I got the Chuck wagon Breakfast Burrito, my girlfriend got the Chorizo and egg special. Have to make clear, country gravy is pretty much one of my favorite things to eat so when it’s poorly made everything is ruined. But their version(sausage country gravy) is to die for. Smother a perfectly made egg burrito with ham, sausage, bacon and potatoes in that stuff all with a pleasant service experience all with perfrctly reasonable(even cheap) pricing and you earn yourself a 5 star rating. Glad I went, will be back again soon.

Loved the homemade breakfast sausage, had just the right spice!
