I’ve only been here once, and went based on the recommendation of my friend, and I’m so glad I did! I love Banh Mi so much, and it’s so cheap! The prices are great and competitive and they have 11 different types(special combo, combo, three or four types of pork etc. the list goes on). I’ve been trying to find a decent banh mi place without any luck, and now I’ve found my place! The bread is always fresh and it makes for a crunch sandwich. The meats are great too, I especially love the grilled pork and the charbroiled pork. Definitely one of the best places around for banh mi and with the price you can’t beat it!

The 411: this is my absolute favorite place to get a banh mi sannich on the east coast. Prices are competitive, service is friendly and the bread is always fresh. A perfect banh mi sannich has the right proportions of meat and toppings and patè that is flavorful and rich. A perfect banh mi sannich also has big, fresh baguettes that are light and airy while also being crispy. This place has all of those things. I love the jalapeños they put on the sanniches. Their daikon and carrots are pickled perfectly and are never too sweet. At $ 3.50 per sannich, this place has a 10″ bun that fills you up! They do a deal(like most banh mi places) where if you buy 5, you get one for free. You don’t save much money, but these sanniches last surprisingly long, so if you’re like me, you eat one immediately and then save a bunch for later in the evening. Bottom line: in an area where banh mi is a common thing, this place stands alone as my favorite and in my opinion the best. This is all that they do. Go spend $ 3.50 and enjoy the deliciousness. You won’t regret it. P. S. Don’t mind the odor of the store. Only an elitist would not try the food based on the smell of the place. Your sannich will be great if you give it a try.

How is this even a sandwich? Thanks for the 1 layer of cha and an entire loaf a bread. It felt like i was just eating a plain loaf of bread the entire time. Tasteless. As for their thit nuong, it wasn’t even grilled. It was poorly made, it was as pale as chicken(not what it’s supposed to look like). Maybe that’s what happens when you come in and order a dozen banh mi’ on a slow slow empty day. They rushed to make it within two minutes. This place used to be good but now it’s not even worth 3.50. I rather go across the street and get better, more filling sandwiches. By the way every shop does the buy five get one banh mi free and same price.

Their baguettes are certainly Number 1! I don’t know how they do it, but their baguettes are always crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. Out of the many banh mi shops within Eden Center, Banh Mi So 1 is the absolute best. I highly recommend their handcrafted sandwiches and pâté spreads. YUM!

Dishonest workers and banh mi that are disgusting. I ordered their five sandwiches get one free special and the old lady behind the counter rung it up like she knew what she was doing. A few minutes later a gentleman comes by and orders the special but for sandwiches that were slightly pricier. His total was just the same as mine. At this point I’m starting to wonder if this lady charged me for six, applied a scam the tourist tax rate(on non-Vietnamese) or what. I decided to let it go since the difference was small based on my estimate. I do wonder how they keep tabs on what they tax people and if they actually pocket some of that tax money at whichever random tax rate they use for each customer. I would not be surprised! The receipt isn’t very detailed. Now the sandwiches– not good. The bread while they make them there is nothing but cheap flour and doesn’t taste fresh. Also we ordered the grilled pork but when we got home, their idea of grilled pork is some pink soaked crap meat with a hard crusty edge. Yuck! Also their chicken version was nothing but saw dusk! I have never seen a chicken sandwich not look like a chicken sandwich! It was shredded to the point it looked and tasted like meat sprinkles. It looked like something you can serve to a cat or fish.

My favorite banh mi place in Eden. You can also buy single baguettes here, if that’s what you want. CON: Some days the baguettes are noticeably too skinny. A little consistency would be nice!

I’ve really tried to like this place and been here several times. My final disappointment came after ordering the grilled pork banh mi for the 2nd time and getting the same terribly scant overcooked gristly, dried out, hard chunks of pork. Really bad. I would barely feed the meat to my dog, if I had one. So, I won’t be back. The iced coffee is delicious, but if you want a good sandwich try Banh Mi DC on Arlington Blvd a few miles away.

Out of all the banh mi places in Eden’s Center, I love this one the most. Their banh mi sandwiches always come with a lot of meat and veggies inside, and everything tastes really fresh. I like their bread especially — crispy on the outside with a chewy texture. Their prices are also cheap, and the service is fast. Only downside is that there isn’t any seating, so you have to get your food to go.

50 cents per plan banh mi is a good deal. I’d come here for the banh mi and shop for the cold cuts at the grocery store across the street. The banh mi outside is hard and toasty while the inside is chewy and not overly carbo stuff– just how the Viets like it. The banh mi is also almost twice as long as the ones I see from other bakeries in Eden center, it’s like 16″ or something crazy like that. Given the quality of their plain banh mi, I’ll prob splurge on their vietnamese cold cuts next time as well.

This place has absolutely jamming Banh Mi. Banh Mi So is a specialty place in the Eden Center. No seating and fast service definitely indicates it’s meant to be a lunch stop, which is fine by me. It’s clean, service is quick, and prices are cheap. The Banh Mi here is great. Definitely get the vegetables on the side — keeps everything from becoming soggy too fast. One sandwich was plenty filling for me, and I eat a lot. Try the coffee here! It’s also excellent.

This is a delicious place to get Banh Mi sandwiches. It’s located in the Eden Center and can be found if you look for 6799– Suite 4. The people there are super nice and you can get your order within 5 minutes. I tried no. 1 and 2 which were fantastic. The bread was fresh and the veggies/meat were plentiful for a $ 3.50-$ 3.95 sandwich. Pro-tip: Get your veggies on the side like most Vietnamese people do because it keeps your bread from getting soggy. Btw, I thought their iced coffee was fantastic so don’t pass up on the opportunity to get one with your meal. It’s buy 5, give 1 free which I didn’t take advantage of because 1 was plenty filling.

This tends to be my banh mi spot in Eden Center. It’s next to my favorite store, which is helpful. It’s also easy to order my favorite version(grilled pork, no pâté/mayo), because there’s pictures and numbers. Staff is friendly and long lines move quickly. Meat has always been flavorful, bread crunchy, and vegetables fresh. What more does one need in banh mi?

Love this Banh Mi shop! Their Banh mi bread is probably the best I have ever had because they bake it fresh daily. The sausages, the buns and meatballs are so yummy. Plus the staff, they are all so nice. This definitely a mom and pop shop which reminds me so much of Vietnam, one of my most favorite places to go. Can’t wait to go back here for more Banh mi.

I’m severely disappointed with the sandwiches here. At $ 3 and some change for each sandwich, you get a 10 – 12 inch French style baguette with barely any filling inside. I ordered 6 sandwiches, two of which were the chicken, which literally looked like it had been pulverized inside a blender before being sprinkled along the inside of the bun. The poor chicken was dry, crumbly, and bland like as if I were staring at a blanket of cardboard debris. The pickled vegetables over borderline flavorless, like they had been sitting in the vinegar for 15 seconds before being scooped into the bag. That or the mixture they use doesn’t have enough vinegar to properly soak into the vegetables. They get one star for adding cucumber slices to the sandwiches, which for some reason isn’t as commonly found anymore. And another star for the bread. But never again will I consider coming here. I don’t care if you buy five and get one free. All you end up with is 6 crappy sandwiches.

Banh Mi So 1 is my family’s favorite for banh mi thit. Everytime I request it, we go here. Not to say that other places aren’t good either, but BMS1 does a pretty good job. They have a great Buy 5, Get 1 Free deal, which is great for families. If you’re not planning to eat the sandwiches anytime soon, they can keep the veggies separated so that all of it doesn’t spoil as fast. While the Banh Mi here is on par with a couple other places I’ve been to, where they really shine is the bread itself. I LOVE french bread and theirs is awesome when it’s fresh. Great outer crunch, fluffy interior. Not as good at when I had it in Vietnam, but then again, I’m still on the search for that. TIP: Don’t come here on a holiday weekend. They get so busy that their sandwiches actually kind of suck. There’s no consistency to how much pâté they put and their meats tend to be drier for some reason. And finally, their veggies are not as pickled. On any other day, I’ve never had a problem though. Also, they do accept credit cards, but the minimum is $ 15.

New favorite spot! It’s cheap and their sandwiches are huge. Plus they sell all of the ingredients for you to take home and make your own Banh mi.

I ordered a #3 Meatball and #4 Cha(vietnamese ham) with extra pâté. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon so maybe I caught them at a bad time… We grabbed a table behind Eden center about 5 minutes after getting our sandwich and they were already super soggy. The #3 was so wet/messy/oily that we couldn’t eat it. The #4 barely had any meat or veggies inside. The bread is long and skinny and absolutely delicious — but I would not come back for their sandwiches. I also thought their pâté was just ok. A little too thick for my taste and not as creamy as other establishments.

I give it 4 ½ stars. I discovered this place about a year ago after thinking Banh Mi DC was the best in the city. This is equal, if not better. 10″ sandwich for $ 3 to $ 3.50. Also the best french bread i’ve found in my 12yrs in NOVA that is as close to NOLA Po-boy bread. I always get at least one sandwich when i stop by and usually take home a couple baquettes for later. The bread stays surprisingly fresh for a couple days. Love this place.

So far its the best Banh Mi place I found in Eden. The people are nice, the food taste very fresh, and its good food fast. Their cold cut house special has pâté spread on one side and rich butter spread on the other. The bread is narrow and long which gives a nice meat and veggie to bread ratio in every bite. Surprisingly, after I place my order and receive my sandwich less than 2 minutes later my sandwich comes out toasted well. The 2 things that doesn’t make it the best banh mi ever is that their bread doesn’t have any chew to it. Maybe one day I will ask for my sandwich not toasted. Also they have mainly pork options for their sandwiches so if you don’t eat pork then you’re out of luck. Other than that, this place is well worth a visit because not only of their well crafted sandwiches but also because it’s next door to the best banh bao shop in Eden.

This is one of the many places to find the traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches… well they’re more like torpedoes — slightly longer than the ones I’m used to seeing at restaurants and shops. There are many options to choose from, authentically made(authenticated by a Vietnamese friend) and pretty delicious made with fresh ingredients. Priced around $ 3.50 per sandwich, how can you not find them delightful. If you go with a group of friends, it’s best to capitalize on the«Buy 5, get 1 free» deal… or just buy a bunch for yourself because it’s worth it and they’re just that good.
