Great facility. Jenna is a wonderful PT for dancers and I have always gotten a lot of help and understanding about my issues when I have seen her. I love that BDI offers such a full range of services. I have taken some group classes there and thought they were fun. My only complaint is that personally some of the express classes are too short and not challenging enough for me and so I think they should be a lower price than the full hour group classes. But, that has a lot to do with what your goals are and I would definitely recommend checking out what they offer.

Brand new facilities with everything you could want for working out, athletic training or physical therapy sessions. They have something for every fitness level. I’ve been impressed with every staff member.

Body Dynamics’ physical therapists are friendly, professional, and extremely good at what they do. They were able to pinpoint the source of my pain and help me release it. Countless doctors and specialists were unable to correctly diagnose the problem.

high marks to the physical therapy staff. I give three stars because of some ongoing unprofessional behavior by some of the front desk employees.

I have been coming to BDI for quite some time now. I started off with Amy who was a Rolfer that used to work there and then transitioned into massage and then physical therapy, I even tried their personal trainer and Pilates too. I have had great results with all of the treatments I have had there. Everyone has been extremely knowledgable in what they do. Currently I’m seeing Andrea G. for physical therapy and she has been helping me get my body back. She’s always 100% of the time with her patients and answers all questions. She’s really knowledgable — although I think all PT’s are right, lol? She’s also personable and easy to talk to. I’m a massage therapist myself and a lot of my clients will always tell me about their bad experiences with PT’s and I will tell you that will not happen here — it’s never happened with Andrea and from what I’ve observed from the other PT’s and their interactions with their patients they provide the same quality of outstanding treatment. My mobility has improved and the issue I went in with is almost completely resolved. I truly believe that this is the place to go for professional PT’s who will get you the results you need and know what they are doing.

About 3 years ago, I was a mess. I had constant pain in my feet and was doing no exercise at all. I was depressed. I’d been to many doctors, other therapists, had a cortisone shot and even tried acupuncture. Nothing seemed to help my feet. When I asked my physiatrist about physical therapy again, she said it’s worth a try but only if I see Jennifer Gamboa. It was then that my life turned around. Jen said she could help me when others just threw up their hands. We began a journey together toward healing. It was a slow process but one with continual progress. It’s not much of an exaggeration to say Jen saved my life. Three years later, I am back to bike riding, and taking walks — activities that I could not do when I first started coming to BDI. And, I am enrolled in their new FitRX exercise program. Now, at BDI, I see Regina for Neurofeedback, Kim and Gwen for massage, Andrea for occasional physical therapy, and Christina for personal training. They are all fantastic! In fact, everyone who works there is really excellent. BDI views the patient holistically as they combine physical therapy with massage, acupuncture, pilates, neurofeedback and state of the art exercise equipment. All the practitioners share their results and discuss how to best serve their clients. I can’t recommend BDI highly enough to anyone who needs physical therapy or just wants to improve their health and fitness.

The trainers a Body Dynamics are ideal for true athletes. Why I go here, I do not know, but I make myself feel better. They look at the whole patient…

I went to the Pilates class. The class was rather slow and boring. If you are injured or over 60, it’s ok. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Six years ago I broke my foot pretty bad and had several surgeries. I’ve had pain and limited mobility ever since. After another minor foot injury earlier this year I’ve been going to Body Dynamics for PT with Patrick every few weeks. I’m so pleased with the progress he’s been able to make on my foot. I’ve gotten a lot of my mobility back and the regular pain that I’ve been dealing with for years is gone. Body Dynamics is out of network for my insurance, so it’s a little pricey, but I’m willing to pay it for the personalized attention and results that I’m getting. All the staff that I’ve met is friendly and knowledgeable.

Best«full cycle» care. Great skilled creative caring physical therapists augmented by pilates trained personal trainers and outstanding masseusses(plus rolfing, accupucture, nutrition advice if you want it). I’ve twice had to have physical therapy — vere capable treatment and exercize advice for self healing. I even avoided surgery from the successful treatment. Many exercise class choices and one-on-one PT too. They helped me move from an out of shape achy desk jockey to… pain-free and in shape and I continue to learn new things about proper movement.

2015: I’ve now been going to BDI for 5 years on a weekly basis. I mostly see Chip for rehab/training, but when needed I return to Jenna for PT; I also do clinical massage therapy at times. They keep me moving pain free! Yes, it’s cost a good amount over the years, but with my particular issues it has been much needed and the results well worth the investment. Everyone has been professional, responsive, and kind, which is a nice combination. When I see multiple professionals, they continue to work together to figure out the issue and provide an integrated plan of action. I highly recommend BDI! 2011 entry: I’ve been going to BDI for about a year now. I’ve had PT with Jen, rehab/training with Chip, massage with Stephanie, biofeedback with Regina, plus pilates and yoga group classes. They really work together in an integrated approach to your overall health and fitness. I initially sought out Jen on a referral from a co-worker after I was experiencing serious back pain, which has morphed some. They were amazingly able to alleviate the intense pain I was in. I’ve seen all sorts of medical professionals over the years, and have had the most significant and lasting improvement with BDI. Two doctors had recommended two different surgeries prior to me coming to BDI, but I have successfully avoided any surgery because of my work and results with BDI. They constantly coordinate with each other to be able to adroitly respond to how my body is doing at that moment in time. They are kind, responsive, and focused on getting me back into full motion. It does get expensive paying out-of-pocket, but they provide quality service that has been worth it. The few times I have had insurance problems, their billing folks were extremely helpful and responsive. I highly recommend BDI!

Knee injury(I thought). BD identified true source of discomfort(ankle) and through massage and exercise solved problem within 2 months. Early morning appointments were on time; facility generally had 2 or 3 other appointments so lots of space and access to machines. Variable exercises. Personal attention. Only downside was that I had to pay up front and submit insurance reimbursements for BCBS.

After running many races, both of my knees started bothering me. A family friend recommended Holly, a DPT/CPT at Body Dynamics. Words cannot express how fantastic my experience was. From the moment I stepped in, she found multiple things wrong with my legs, feet, and knees that were causing me pain. My treatment was individualized in order for me to run without pain. Exercises and stretches were given in incremental steps and truly made a difference! You know you are being well taken care of when the PT gets on a foam roller with you! Body Dynamics is well equipped with a variety of physical therapy machines(even a treadmill). While some therapy sessions can be completed in an open setting, there are private rooms as well. Make sure to check out the Group Classes offered at BD! Next on my list is to take a Pilates GT class. I have only heard GREAT things!

The pilates mecca of metro D.C. Owned and operated by a mixed bag of ex-Broadway dancers, ballerinas and physical therapists, this place is no joke. Though entering through a key storefront that resembles a pawn shop might feel wrong, stepping out into the tidy studio releases all doubt. A semester of pilates here actually gave me a waist – it literally changed my body. Yes, I was also going through a major break-up and not eating, but even before that I was a card-carrying hottie thanks to this place. You might join level one mat or mat with props, and you might leave the first class thinking«WTF I didn’t feel that.» The next day you might feel it, most likely in muscles you didn’t know you had. You will definitely feel it by class three and you will definitely see results by the end of a semester. BD also offers ballet classes, personal sessions, reformer classes and physical therapy.

After a nasty ankle injury(never run outside when it’s icy, kids!), I spent four months attending physical therapy sessions at Body Dynamics and was very pleased with the results. The main part of the facility is located in the basement of a small commercial building.(They have a pilates studio and equipment upstairs.) The massage and physical therapy rooms are downstairs at basement level. They have a fairly wide variety of physical therapy equipment as well as a solid staff of physical therapists. I went to Andre for my physical therapy and he was simply wonderful. He was a lot of fun to work with and always had a knack for making me laugh when I was sore and grumpy.
