I actually kind of love this place. They have great vegetarian options here, really good fried rice, and they have french fries with mumbo sauce, which is necessary to my existence. The fried rice is better than any other Chinese carry out I’ve had. The Szechuan green beans are sooooo good. And the vegetable delight is on point. The spring rolls are actually pretty good too. I got some once that were bad, but I guess those were old or something because every time I’ve had them since, they were fine. The vegetable fried rice has a good amount of vegetables too. I think I might make this my regular Chinese spot from now on. Oh and best of all, they don’t skimp on rice. For all you Persian and other rice-loving people who like Chinese food, this is the place that gives enough rice and not that tiny little child’s amount like most other places.

I ordered delivery and the order was wrong. When I called to have the bill adjusted they only offered to give me a credit on my next order. Overall the food was very poor quality.

Fast friendless enough… However if you are going to serve don’t dine-in food on a Styrofoam plate… The flavor better be great! Not missing!

I have been at this place 2 times before, and I tought it was a good place to get a good shrimp fried rice and chicken bites, until I made my order by phone. I just live 3 houses away from the place and they took HOURANHALF to deliver my order. I just could walk to pick it up if wouldn’t raining that day! Unaceptable, to end this, the meal this time was awful, the rice wasn’t tasty and was cold. I definitely dislike this place and I won’t come back anymore

This place was a strong 3 on my first visit. I have to admit I was skeptical, partly because of the look of the place and partly because of who I was with. I had been out and about with a friend most of the day running around from McLean, to Fairfax, to Occoquan, to Falls Church/Annandale. We were approaching our final destination and my friend indicated she was thinking dinner before our networking event. I said OK and we diverted into Hong Kong Express. Now I have walked and driven by this place a few times but this was the first time I walked in. I am going to admit I was skeptical going in for a couple of reasons. First, it looks very basic, like a place where you pick-up takeout. There were a few tables as well as one customer eating inside. We decided to get hot & sour soup and lo mein to share. I sampled the soup first and thought it was pretty good. The noodles were OK, cooked well and not overly greasy. We ate there because the networking event we were heading to was right near by but I don’t know that dining in is expected, although they did have dine in dishes. This is not a customer service focused location. Unless someone is at the register to order or pick-up the staff is in the back. The doorway to the back is relatively open so when I had a question it was relatively easy to get assistance. I might try here as a takeout chinese location. One advantage is you could place your order and head over to Harris Teeter to grab some groceries(or Starbucks for some caffeination).

Buy your food, made to order. Sit at the plain table, read a book, and/or check out the comings and goings outside. Good food, good prices, good people.

did not like the food, got the fat noodles, it was salty but bland if that makes any sense. they over seasoned it with curry, and forgot the salt.

New to the area and consider myself a Chinese food aficionado. This place was great. The General Tso tofu was mind blowing along with the crab wontons. Can’t wait to try their spring rolls and other fare!

If I could give this place a zero I would but because there food is edible at least so they get 1 star. This place used to be 5 star(honestly) when this place opened about 10 years ago. I’ve lived here all my life and used to come here all the time but this place has turned to shit. Really. The food especially here has declined BIGTIME x1000. The owners are rude and don’t give a shit about anything. They change owners almost every year and its worst than ever. I’ve had bad experience before, but this time i decided to make a stand. Plain fried rice here is PLAIN-FRIED-RICE… LITERALLY. It’s plain rice with soy sauce. That’s their fried rice. The lo mein was burnt and super oily and so on. I’m tired of ranting and wasting my energy on this place. So Imma stop. In other words gooo farrr away from here. And don’t come back. Trust me on this.

Will NEVER order from here again! Ordered spring rolls took a bite and nearly broke a tooth. I spit it out and found a rock in my spring roll. How the hell does a rock get in your spring roll!!! I can only imagine how their kitchen looks! I call to inform them and she said next time I give you free… I cut her off and tell her I will never eat there again! Needless to say the rest of the food went in the trash! Eat there at your own risk!

Why is it so hard to find good chinese take-out/delivery in northern Virginia?! Ordered an egg roll, fried dumplings and General Tso’s chicken. Egg roll was blah, fried dumplings were just full of grease, lots of non edible chewy chunks in the meat. General Tso’s chicken also had a lot of gristle. Won’t order from this place again.

People I don’t know if you listen to any of these reviews but if you want to start then listen to this one. I love Chinese food but if I ever taste another meal like I had at this place then I will give up eating it for ever. Today I had family over from NY where the Chinese food is really good. So I wanted to show them that VA isn’t so bad either. Well I failed miserably by trying to give a new place a chance. I ordered the following. Crab rangoons– which were the best thing I ordered all day. Next comes the garbage I mean the rest of my so called Chinese food order. And I try not to mention this but I cook for a living and I cook Chinese food often. Because its not hard even for a white Ukrainian from Ukraine that lived in NY his whole life to make something that Chinese food. I would give this place a zero but help isn’t letting me. — — Well those so called empty wonton wrappers that they call fried wontons actually need to have meat in them in order to be called wontons. But they were all wrapper and no meat. Next. — — –chicken chow foon this was a crock of BS. My noodles were over cooked to a moooooooosh. And had no flavor what’s so ever. — — - my beef and mixed vegetables in garlic sauce if you can call it that we’re ridicules. My container was half full, no flavor, mixed vegetables contained crunchy under cooked broccoli, 3 pieces of mushrooms, and like 5 crunch carrots. I’m not half way done with my review but I am fully pissed to a point that first thing tomorrow at 11am I am planning on calling this place to let them know what I think of them. And I am so pissed cuz I had to feed this to my family that doesn’t visit that often. — — –chicken wings nobody can mess that up — — -Peking duck wasn’t bad except that if they say it comes with a certain amount of tortillas it actually need to come with them then. —— combinations LO mein was dry, and not combined with anything but chicken. Wen I get my food I shouldn’t have to add sauce to it to make it hav flavor or taste. But that is all I has to do. — — – combination fried rice HEY a Chinese place that can’t make a good tasting fried rice needs to have its license taken away. — — — egg food wasn’t that bad — — — -general TSO had more batter then chicken. O but the fortune cookies were perfect. So make sure you try those here. Hope this helps you guys.

About a 3.5: I am not a Chinese food fan by any means. However, I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised of how good the Crispy Beef was here. They might not give you much, but the slivers of beef were fried perfectly, and the sauce wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet — plus, it had a nice kick to it, so it balanced it out. The slices of carrots and celery(I first thought the celery part was a bit strange) actually made it taste a bit more healthier, and eating it with the side of the typical standard white rice was pretty decent(I think if you do do carry-out, you should make your own white rice to eat it with). I also ordered the crab rangoon and the chicken fried rice; however, the latter had a weird aftertaste to it. The crab rangoon had not much of the filling, but was hot out of the fryer and it was crispy — it could have had a little bit more of the crab/cream cheese, but I was satisfied. I would definitely return for their Crispy Beef and the crab rangoon; just stick with those 2! There are a few tables to dine in, but most do carry-outs. It’s located in a plaza so there are plenty of parking spaces available. +Crispy Beef

This place is ok, nothing special. Today I placed an order over the phone for pick up and when I came and and told the 2 ladies I’m pickin up my order that I called in, they told me I never called. And they don’t remember anyone calling and placing an order. I had to show them my call log on my cell and made them verify that was there number. They didn’t say yes, no apology, just started making my order. Not great service.
