Stop here for happy hour we always get great service. The food is solid and servers are friendly and attentive. Never a parking issue which is abundant in this area. Great happy hour specials

Went on a Tuesday evening– it was dead inside. Table wasn’t set and the waitress seemed dumbfounded when we asked for utensils. Went for the lobster special and they supposedly ran out. Why advertise a special when you don’t have any to serve? We ordered a clay pot and of course they forget to serve it. Then they tell us at the end of our dinner that they can serve us something else for a 15% discount. Wow… the nerve. Fortunately for them, they have a good cook in the back. Our calamari, bacon-wrapped escargot and chicken wings were decent. However, we will never step foot in this disorganized, apathetic joint again.

Family and I came here and it was my first time. I was definitely not impressed. First off, the food took forty minutes to come out, which doesn’t include the fact that they got one of our orders wrong the first time. Our server didn’t write down what we ordered when we ordered our food so honestly, the mistake in our order was not at all surprising. We ordered wings as an appetizer which were surprisingly good and season with nuoc mam(fish sauce). But given their preparation time, they were a bit underwhelming. Our main dishes came out 40 – 50 min after we ordered(I lost track of the time because it was so long, but let’s just say we left our house for dinner at 6:00 pm). This made very little sense to me because there were literally two other groups in the restaurant and it was basically dead in there. Maybe we came on a bad day, but that was a cruddy experience. My parents shared Bun Bo Xao, which was rather average. I got Singapore Noodles with Chicken and my brother got Seafood Crispy Noodles. My dish was rather mediocre. The noodles were good, but the chicken did not seem seasoned at all. It tasted super bland. They also put an excessive amount of onions on the dish which seemed really unnecessary. Only when I took off half the onions did the dish become palatable. My brother’s dish was probably the best-tasting out of all our dishes. No complaints about his. At the end of our meal, my mom had to flag down another server to get our check because our original server was sitting at the bar talking to someone… yeah.

Just order a $ 30 worth of hotpot and it a complete rip off. No noodle included, no vegetable. A tiny bit of seafood and two container of broth. Completely disappointed. Do not order food from this place, even if you do, make sure to check everything before you leave.

We originated from SoCal so usually Viet food here is just mediocre and expensive for us. Being a chicken Phở snob, none of the restaurants around here in NoVA measure up to what we have a few times a year when we fly to SoCal; however yesterday when we went there for chicken phở/phở ga, my hubby said it was the best phở ga he ever had. Also if you are looking for a local pub with good drinks and great Viet drinking food, this place has it all. The owner is pretty cool bc he actually come out to mingle with his customers and ask for their opinions. From food to service to bartenders knowledge, this place deserves the best all around.

I heard the New Season restaurant is under new management. My husband and I went with a couple of friends from Philadelphia to try the food at this place. The setting of the restaurant was idyllic and we were instantly delighted on entering the restaurant. It was perfect! The staff was professional. The foods were excellently prepared, and presented; every mouthful was wonderful. It is important to note that the prices of the meals were very reasonable. They have non-alcoholic to alcoholic drinks such as wines, mix drinks, hard liquors, and beers. Live music! I was intrigued by the fact that they have one person who can play any type of music on his synthesizer! They do have drums, but I didn’t get to see anyone play while I was there. People gave him the name of their favorite songs, and he plays for them to sing. My friends and I call this guy«The one man band» We will definitely come back to the New Season restaurant because of good atmosphere, good food, good drinks, and good live music.

Maybe I am out of luck with this restaurant for the a first timer. I found an insect in my food(not sure what it was, sort of like a spider or cockroach but it really disgusted me. I am not sure what else is in it. You judge. Parking is amble, seating is limited. Service is average. None of the things is good about this grill/bar.

I like the food. The shaky beef and the wings are really good. They have hot pot too. The atmosphere is so sketchy though! It is never busy so you kind of have to wonder how they stay in business. They had Victory beers on tap when they first opened but the last time we went in they had no beers on tap. They got rid of the sliders but honestly, it should be Vietnamese food anyway. They sometimes have really unique stuff like quail eggs. If the atmosphere was better, they could get more people in.

Good wings but consistently sketchy when it comes to cleanliness and doing business. The menu is rather fancy considering the divey nature of the place(I’ve never seem more then a dozen people here at one time) however I only go for the New Seasons Wings and the Shaky Beef. Since going(or trying to go) the past few months, I’ve been faced with(amongst other things) them being closed when they were supposed to be open, out of either or both of the only two things I order, backed up sewage in the restroom and roach sightings. The one consistent thing in my visits, was the inconsistency of the billing. Sometimes charged for tea. Sometimes not. Sometimes charged for rice. Sometimes not. And the price for mixed drinks varies seemingly randomly. Yet through it all, I continued to return for the wings and the shaky beef averaging a visit every 10 days or so. That is until my last visit. The shaky beef was disgusting and the handling of the incident left a worse taste in my mouth then the meal itself. I am unsure what kind of gristly, Grade D meat they used but it wasn’t what they normally use and it was foul(for perspective, I grew up in Asia, have had my fair share of shady meat and generally consider myself rather flexible about what I’ll call meat). I returned the dish and requested an order of wings instead. I was informed they would have to charge me for the dish as I had eaten too much of it. I showed them that most of what was eaten was wrapped in the napkin. They informed me they still must charge me for the returned meal. I asked for the manager. The server said no manager. Perhaps the server simply felt like being a douche, was too ignorant to understand or the owners truly gave him no real authority knowing the cousins son they had to hire was an ignorant douche. In the end the server won; I was charged for the returned dish and New Seasons has lost a dedicated patron over a $ 14 Shaky Beef.

We had pretty low expectation after reading several not-so-great Unilocal reviews about this place. Good news is that it turned out to be better than expected. Yes they do add automatic 20% tip if you use LivingSocial coupon. We weren’t told about it but we didn’t complaint since we knew about it from other Unilocal reviews. Still, they shouldn’t do this especially no where in LivingSocial coupon states this is the case. This place does have weird vibe. Doesn’t look like typical Asian restaurant at all. Looks like it used to be a bar of some sort. Dark wood interiors, dark lighting, some music instruments towards the entrance and etc. Food was actually pretty good. Appetizer calamari and stir fried Chinese broccoli were excellent. Appetizer tiger shrimp and rice dishes were just okay. Too much bread coating for tiger shrimp if you ask me. Unlike others who complained about slow service, we actually found service to be pretty attentive and courteous. Maybe because there were absolutely no other customers in the restaurant when we dined in. They came by several times to check up on us and food came out pretty quick. They do have Hot Pot dishes. We didn’t get this and we would never because their price is just ridiculous(extra $ 3 for tofu, extra $ 3 for mushroom, and etc. seriously???) compare to Hot Spot on Pickett road($ 22.95 for unlimited everything). Overall, it wasn’t as bad as we thought at all. But automatic 20% tip and weird inside deco are enough to make us stay away from this place.

Vietnamese food was completely on point. The restaurant was a bit empty when we arrived at 8PM on a Sunday; three more groups filtered in while we were enjoying the food. Winter rolls: not a fan of tofu, will take my family’s word that it was okay. Carpaccio salad: Everything about this dish is delightful. Please don’t run away from raw beef before you’ve read about the basic conditions that make raw beef safe to eat. This stuff tastes like they seasoned the cow and then shaved the meat off.(Sorry PETA, do cross this spot off your grazing list) Crushed sesame(or was it toasted rice, or peanuts?) wasn’t overwhelming. Topped(artfully, which didn’t affect my rating but is nice to know) with generous basil and scallions, and the greens were _easily removable_! Good for the pure carnivores, also good for a gal who chooses Viet cuisine for the crazy herbal flavors. Salted shrimp: huge bed of thankfully crispy romaine cut in sizes such that we could actually eat it like a salad, not a «lettuce leaf pizza» that we have to bite or cut over and over. Some shrimp(I’m used to about a pound of salted shrimp for the price of the dish). Vinaigrette was well-balanced, more on the side(or did we just repurpose a sauce from our other appetizers? hard to keep track of all the little bowls). Would order again and again, perhaps only if I were rich. Shaky beef: caved to peer Unilocalpressure, did not regret. It’s comforting. It’s not Asian-flavored, just a good olé grilled steak, super juicy, generic seasonings, hard to share with the table(for sentimental not logistical reasons). bed of some green I did not care for(watercress?) and a light sauce on the side that I just didn’t feel compelled to use after trying it. Shaky beef bears no baggage. Or dressing. New Season chicken wings: moderate rating. It’s spiced right, and the texture is super crispy shell outside, moist on the inside. Just wasn’t too blown away by it for some reason. Maybe too greasy for wings. Sauce was great. They leave all sauce and chili on the side, with just a hint of it used on the food, so you can first sample how the sauce would taste and then ramp up the spice or dressing to your liking. There’s a great painter’s palette effect on the three sauces for the winter rolls — all arranged in a small dish so you can easily blend them together, but dip on the edges if you only want one of the sauces. This trick would’ve seemed like a gimmick if I were not the kind to take a concrete mixer to all sauces I encounter, like some kind of deranged alchemist. In my experience, the food was exactly what I was looking for to satisfy a craving for some authentic flavors. Had me wishing they’d catered my wedding.

I would have to say this is one of the worst experiences I’ve encountered so far. My family and I went in to dine on a saturday afternoon, I would say around 1:30 or so. We were quickly sat, but we realized that it looked to be that there was only one server/greeter. We didn’t really mind because there was only 2 other tables that were sat in the restaurant. One of the main reasons we came in was to get the delicious New Season Wings. As we were debating on what else to get, we put in the order for wings, calamari and summer rolls as our appetizers. Our server then, went and attended to the other tables and we sat and picked out what our entrees would be. After about 10 mins the server comes out and tells us that they are out of the chicken wings. Crushed, as we heard the unfortunate news we decided, «hey the rest of the food is pretty good lets just order something else to eat.» My cousin goes first and orders the pork chops, and two rice plates, one with tomatoes and one without. I then order the carpaccio beef(raw beef salad) and the tiger shrimp. Lastly, my sister orders shaky beef. About 10 minutes go by and then the server comes back and shares some more bad news. They were also out of pork chops and the raw beef salad. At this point, I was sad because they did not have those options also, but we still hopes that we could just order something else. We looked up and saw their board with the special written on it saying lobsters, so we order the lobster. Well guess what? They are also out of lobster. We would not have been as upset if the server was to mention in the beginning that they were out of a couple things, but 3 times being told that we’re out of something? That’s just ridiculous. We then gave up on ordering anything else, so we just waited for the two rice dishes one with tomatoes and one without, shaky beef and the tiger shrimp. First one rice dish comes out(the one with the tomatoes) and the tiger shrimp. Then another couple mins the shaky beef comes out. Where is the other rice dish? Which is the same exact as the other dish but with no tomatoes. This one finally came out, 10 minutes later. With the shaky beef my sister had to ask for rice. I’m not sure if it’s a custom to just eat shaky beef with out rice or not, but we wanted rice. By now everyone was just grumpy and hungry so we just quickly ate to leave as soon as possible. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the food was good. Anything else, I don’t know how I really feel. I really hope that it was just an off day and nothing was going right because I would like to come again. I think next time I will just call ahead to see if they have the items that I want to order. I ended up going to another vietnamese restaurant afterwards just to get some food. I hope this review was kind of helpful. t

We were the only diners on a Friday night, which is usually a sign of bad things to come. However, we stayed put and put our trust in fellow Unilocalers. Our server was nice, but followed the typical check-in template: drink order, food order, once while eating, and once for the check. With an empty restaurant, I would have expected a tad more attention. The food is okay. We got the spring rolls, shaky beef, and salted calamari. Spring rolls were average, but their sauce presentation was shocking. Unlike a traditional peanut sauce, They squeezed some hoisin in a dish, and added peanuts and chili to the side. The other two dishes were pretty good. The shaky beef seemed to lack a defined smokey flavor, but the pieces of meat were certainly tender. Calamari was tasty and crispy. Pricing was good, and the other menu offerings showed potential. Living just a few minutes away, we’ll probably be back. But seeing how nobody was there on a Friday night, one has to wonder how long they will be able to stay afloat.

I swear to you I know my chicken wings and this is the best place I’ve ever had. They have two varieties and they are both phenomenal. The fried wings are marinated in garlic and butter served over lettuce and are legit. What’s even better are the New Season wings that are a bit different served with salt, pepper and lime dipping sauce. Other things to get are shaky beef as well which are really tender. This place has several televisions and will likely have sports on so grab a beer and enjoy.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here, at New Season. My boyfriend and I usually eat at weird times, so we were happy to find that New Season’s kitchen doesn’t close until midnight everyday! FRIEDCHICKENWINGS($ 12 for 10): The fried chicken wings were amazing, I’m drooling as I type this. They aren’t breaded, but the skin is very flavorful– not too salty with just the right amount of spicy-ness. They also come with a salt/pepper/vinegar dipping sauce that makes them very Vietnamese/authentic! JASMINERICE with GRILLEDPORK or VERMICELLI with GRILLEDPORK: At $ 7 for each dish, you can’t beat the value! The pork was tender and did not contain a lot of fat, which is great for those that like leaner meat. They also come with veggies and fish sauce. YOUNGCOCONUTJUICE($ 3.50): The cup was large and contained coconut pieces! Our server was very friendly and patient. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant because it was so late, he did not rush us and even wrapped up my leftovers for me. Overall, the food is authentic, delicious, and has great value. I don’t really have any complaints so I will definitely be back soon!

Upon arriving at New Season i was expecting a typical Vietnamese Restaurant, but i was pleased to see it was a more modernized version of one if you can call it that. a sectioned off bar which separated the dining area. The décor was well placed as well and not tacky like many other Vietnamese restaurants. I ordered the Goi Guon(Summer Rolls, not to be confused with Spring Rolls(Fried Rolls)) which came out delicious. The Herbs were fresh and the roll had a perfect balance of noodles, shrimp, and herbs. Now for the main ordered, after carefully reading many reviews and taking into consideration that it was being called«Shaky Beef» i ordered the Bo Luc Lac. I had to try what they called SHAKYBEEF… Even now when i think of shaky beef it gets me riled up. it was delicious, the sauce was flavorful the watercress fresh and the beef delicious. The food came out a bit slow, but the waiter constantly came back to refill our glasses and ask us if we needed anything so -.5 stars. The rice was also a bit hard so another -.5 . But overall i will come back and eat here again. P.S: Way to go New Seasons i hope many Vietnamese restaurant owners follow their lead in décor and design.
