Nu Enyat Beauty Salon

I know this may sound corny but I have not been able to find a hairstylist who was quick professional in a long time I think I found it here I’m so in love with my hair I was please with the service and friendly family environment.

Where do I start? I don’t know why there are no Unilocal reviews. I don’t know why they don’t have a line hanging out the door! For $ 35, I received the BEST hair experience EVER.
I have a great beautician, that I’ll continue to see for my color and cuts, but she’s always booked and her hours are difficult for me. So when I woke up this particular morning and decided I wanted my natural hair straightened, I knew a walk-​in was my only option. I didn’t want to go to a Dominican salon because they use too much heat for me. A friend of mine told me about Nu Enyat so I gave it a try.
I’m trying to keep this short but I need you to understand how great this was. Here’s the rundown…
I arrived at 8. Shop wasn’t open yet. I waited 25 – 30 for someone to get there… I don’t care. What happens next makes the wait well worth it. I walk in, obviously the first person to arrive, I’m greeted by a nice young lady (I don’t know names yet). She asked me what I wanted, I said I wanted my hair straightened but with a little curl to it. She immediately started washing my hair which I washed before I came because I gave myself a deep conditioner prior to coming. She was so kind to ask me if I wanted her to shampoo my hair again. I nicely declined the offer, but thought it was nice of her to ask! She detangled my hair in the bowl with the conditioner in it… like she should. Extra bonus point for that. Afterwards she rolled my hair in several rollers and put me under the dryer. The dryer wasn’t hot! Matter of fact, the temperature was so comfortable, I fell asleep! I was dry in 30 – 45 mins and then another lady told me to come sit in her chair. Her name was Emu (I think). After she removed my rollers, she combed through my hair and asked me how I wanted it styled. I asked her to curl it a bit. She did one small curl in the back, and turned me around to see if I liked it. I approved, and she continued. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that! She alternated between a flat iron on the stove and a regular plug-​in flat iron. My hair texture is different all over. Straight in the front from color damage, curly in the back and COURSE at the crown. In 20 – 25 mins, Emu had ALL my hair smooth and bouncy! When she turned my chair around, I literally almost cried. When she walked me to the desk to pay and said $ 35, I literally did cry. I seriously might not ever wash my own hair again. I was in and out in an hour and a half. I tried to wait and see how long my hair would last before writing a review, but I couldn’t because I’m too excited.
Bottom line, if you have thick natural hair and don’t want too much heat on it but want it straight, please go check these ladies out!
