This place is legit delicious. Get the red pepper relish on both the burgers and hot dogs. I am not a fan of the hand cut fries but it’s what they have. Buns are steamed and the sandwich ends up being soft and delicious. Cash only!

As usual, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Thin patties on a soft roll. I get a double, loaded with cheese. Very small place, but worth going to. We have been going here for years.

Authentic. Harmon’s has been around for generations and has been doing it the same way for decades. Every time I’m in the area I make sure to stop. This isn’t a restaurant, it’s a food joint. Which means there isn’t a lot on the menu, but what there is is delicious. If you’re a froofy person or someone who finds themselves thinking about how important you are, this is not your place. This is a place for real people who appreciate a tradition and delicious burgers ‘n fries. How there isn’t a line everyday is a testament to its location. Make the drive and you will be delighted you did. Recommended order: Two or three. or four loaded cheese burgers with a side of fries and a fountain soda. p. s. Cash only.

This place has the one of the best burgers around. It’s a weekly treat of mine! The fries and onion rings are really good as well! I have a hard time choosing between those but the loaded cheeseburger are a must!

since all the traditional places in the greater Portland area for steamed bun hamburger is ago on you have to make your way to Falmouth Maine to Harmons burgers. They’re very good bring back childhood memories. You’ve been the wife likes to come by and have one with me and she’s on a diet

This place is awesome and I always go here when I’m home on vacation from the military, it brings back the memories of family. The only thing I would recommend for them is to get an atm installed or some way to pay with cards. I could only get one thing with the amount of cash I had on me but if they took cards I would of got a lot more!!!

If you are looking for 5 Guys or Elevation burger then this place is not for you. If you are looking for awesome old school burgers then this the place to go. You have to have the fried onions and red relish on the burgers for sure, just make it a loaded. The fries and onion rings are just perfect. I have been coming here for 30+ years and the only burger place I crave. I would give it 5 stars but gave it 4 stars because some people have a problem with the décor but that’s what makes this place what it is and I have no problems with it.

A classic roadside stop. Very close to exit 53 on 95, and worth stopping at if you’ve never been here. I always get a loaded cheeseburger and a plain cheeseburger, and sometimes the little pup gets a burger too. Their fries are stellar.

In a food city of occasional excess… Harmon’s remains a bastion of old school simplicity. Nothing fancy… nothing special… it just works. Flat grill pressed greasy burgers… get a double cheeseburger loaded… grilled onions, sweet pepper relish, and mustard. $ 4…with a simple steamed bun… it’s delicious… split some hand cut fries… perfectly fried… crisp…I add vinegar and salt… bringing me back to the 60’s fry truck days… just a cool place… it will remind us baby boomers of the small joints our parents took us to in the 60’s…hell, order, and sit out back on a picnic table… hell again, mow the lawn for them 4 stars

At one time they were ok, not anymore. After several recent visits I finally called it quits. First although there are exceptions the staff is generally rude. The individual who appears to be the owner treated me with disdain after I improperly used the tongs to get ice from the eglo cooler as they have no ice machine. He literally slammed the tongs on the cooler and glared at me. Very weird. The food? well the choices are very limited but that’s fine it’s their shtick. Unfortunately the quality is sub par. The burgers are microscopically thin, and greasy, The bun is mired in grease, with hot house tomatoes in the middle of the summer. The french fries are limp and greasy. Grease seems to be the theme here, as it permeates and coats everything in the restaurant. They are obviously resting on their laurels and it’s unfortunate that a landmark restaurant has declined to this state

Hands down this is the best burger joint in Maine. My go to order is two cheeseburgers loaded with a fry. Loaded consists of fried onions, pepper relish and mustard. If I am extra hungry I’ll add on a loaded cheese dog. I know it seems like a lot of food, but one Harmon’s cheeseburger will never be enough. This time my husband and I grabbed an onion ring instead of the fry. They were just ok, next time we will go back to the fries! Cash only! If I get a burger anywhere else I always wish I was at Harmon’s.

Fantastic steamed buns and really tasty… and yes greasy… burgers. Kind of like White Castle’s bigger, more sophisticated brother. Relish is great, but does not overwhelm… lovely sweet grilled onions too. Top it off with a dash or two of celery salt, and you’ve got yourself one heckuva fine old school burger. Staff could be friendlier… they call your number, slap down your order without eye contact or a thank you… but not a huge deal.

Selection extremely limited and would have thought with a specialty of only 4 food items they would be great. Honestly the cheeseburger was awful. I have had better tasting McDonalds(and I greatly dislike McDonalds). Frozen thin patties, steamed buns that melt in your mouth, and not in a good way and Asked for pickles, which wasn’t an option for the burger. The food was served on a thin piece of wax paper, which stuck to the table. We ordered the onion rings which were fried to a crisp and more batter than ring. Reluctantly, Had to use the restroom, which was in the basement and had black mold, water damage and the door wouldn’t even shut. Left feeling gross, dissatisfied and sorry I stopped.

This place is just like Rapid Ray’s down in Saco, but you can actually sit down! If the onion rings had been fried in fresh fat, they would have been 5 stars… But I think slider burgers, this 50’s or whatever style, are just greasy gross, man!

I just love stopping by here for a quick lunch. I always get two single cheeseburgers, while eating I am transported back to my high school days where we had in the corner of our cafeteria an «alternative» food bar, instead if the usual cafeteria fare, we could buy hamburgers and hot dogs for 15 cents each… yeah I know… I’m 72 years young, things were cheaper back in the horse and buggy days. Harmon’s is my trip down memory lane and I don’t have to go back to California to re-live it. I give it a five star for nostalgia and the type of cheap eats, not for the silver and crystal and fine linen, you’re not going to find that here… instead rickety tables and chairs, serve yourself orders at the counter. You can eat here for $ 5.00 a couple… what fun!

As my husband can tell you, it is quite obvious when it’s time for a meal because I get HANGRY. He knew he needed to get lunch in me fast, so we stopped by Harmon’s. We were drawn to it because we both love burgers, it’s semi close to our house and they have outdoor seating so its perfect to go with the pup. After reeading all the reviews and as hungry as I was, I knew I needed a double cheeseburger. And I’m glad I did. The patties are tiny but flavorful and delicious. The buns are plain but super soft, which I love. And the cheese was super duper melty. YUM! However, I wish I could have had some lettuce, tomatoes and pickles on it. And I really, really wanted a super fizzy coke or a good root beer(I like IBC or Barqs). Regrettably, no. Pepsi products only… so it was Pepsi or Mug. Bleh. We also shared some fries which I was happy were fresh cut taters. But they weren’t crispy at all. Nothing to write home about. Also, this place is cash only. I know that credit cards cost money to run for the business owners, but I’m sorry. It is pretty cheap to get one of those Square card readers. I don’t typically carry cash, but luckily we had gone yard saling on Saturday and had some cash money.(Some of the yard sales were even taking cards!) I did enjoy eating outside, but I was a little concerned that the benches at the picnic table would not be able to support our weight. And there were a lot of nails sticking out in some places. I get it. This place is old-fashioned. And I dig that. The burgers were tasty and I’m not saying I’ll never go back, but there are a few pretty easy fixes that would make this place amazing! As it stands right now, I won’t be making any special trips to Harmon’s for lunch.
