The quiche melted in my mouth. Terrific food, friendly service, good prices, sunny window.

While Nichole’s is best known for their exquisite sweets I would strongly recommend making Nichole’s your next Fargo lunch destination. The selection of sandwiches is always changing to feature seasonal vegetables and flavors. The quiche is also a solid choice, no matter the time of day. Pro-tip: be sure to grab some of Nichole’s chocolate truffles to-go! Your future self will thank you.

Yay grain salads! The menu is varied and interesting for lunch, not to mention the amazing pastries. I just wish I could eat the pie crust; it seems they always use lard. The coffee is good. I think they might not have wifi, so don’t plan on camping out to get work done.

This was a very pleasant place to go! Small atmosphere, great pastries, wonderful gelato just over all fantastic. The person behind the counter was very pleasant and told me about a few things to do in Fargo when I asked. I simple cannot wait to go back to Nichole’s with my friends. :) A big plus was the prices are very fair and the food is much better than any franchize.

Nichole’s Fine Pastry has some of the best pastries, desserts, and coffee in Fargo-Moorhead. They specialize in European pastries, if I’m not mistaken, which include decadent bars and cakes as well as breakfast pastries and cookies. They offer hot lunch sandwiches as well. Recently, they’ve begun offering an evening meal on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings — which have thus far been AMAZING! Their evening menu, though limited, is different every week depending on available produce. They typically offer an appetizer, a salad, and two entrees — one being vegetarian. Their staff is well educated and always friendly — my last visit ended resulted in an opportunity to taste half of their gelato varieties(made in-house, of course) before leaving with a completely different dessert altogether. They even have a sommelier who rounds out the fine dining experience, despite the coffee-shop-esque feel of the place.

We lived in the Fargo Moorhead area for 1.5 years and then moved to the Twin Cities. One of the few things I miss about FM is Nichole’s. Absolutely fantastic desserts that rival anything we’ve had on the East and West coasts. Fun location too.

I always opt for lemon or lime pastries… to my dismay they are always subpar and I end up throwing out my treats… Insert citrus tears of sorrow. THEREISHOPE! I bit the bullet and decided to get not only a lemon bar, but also the key lime pie! Both were beautiful examples of what a citrus treat should be… tart, sweet and magical. These tasty treats are not going to the trash.

The perfect place to have either breakfast, lunch or just a great snack to satisfy your sweet tooth. The quiche is superb. If you are in Fargo, you have to make this a must stop.

This is the perfect, cozy little place to go for dessert as part of a date night or to catch up with an old friend! Nichole’s has an impressive variety of desserts and hot beverages to choose from, and I highly recommend anything that has chocolate in it. We came on a Saturday night and was pleased to find that they had a live musician, which was an extra nice touch.

If you’re looking for consistently good lattes and yummy pastries, Nichole’s is where it’s at! I’ve spent many an afternoon here with a book or a good friend. My go-to is the soy latte and croissant. There is also a selection of seasonal gelato as well if ice-cream’s what you’re hankering for. The only downsides I can think of are the hours(they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays) and the lack of wi-fi.

Today I tried salami and Swiss on a Crescent roll with a lemon tart and English Rose tea. My salami an swiss was pure perffection the way the flavors melded together to forum a perfect sandwich. The lemon tart was fresh a sweet tangy perffection in every bite. The English Rose tea was one of my favorites that I have tried so far here at Nicholas I have tried other English Rose tea’s and Nicholas is hands down the best tasting.

A good place for a great meal. The quiche is phenomenal. My favorite Crème brûlée in town. Coffee drinks and wine available. Gelatto!

Nichole’s Fine Pastry is exactly what the title says – an unexpectedly great pastry shop and light dining option in downtown Fargo. The shop itself is split into two halves with one half focused on presenting the absolute best pastries in town(and well beyond) and the other half focused on preparing light meals, including soups, sandwiches, salads, and pasta salads. The dessert and breakfast/lunch menus change seasonally or even more frequently with different featured items that are consistently delicious. There are a fair amount of seating options, but during peak times, such as weekend mornings, they can be completely full. You can take your purchases to-go. During the summer months, there is limited seating outside along the quiet street. Generally, the vibe is a hybrid of pastry/coffee shop with most times being fairly quiet and family friendly. In terms of foods, I rather Nichole’s because the food options are light – especially when compared to pretty much all of the other options in the area. Many places offer vegetarian options, but Nichole’s is vegetarian friendly. Their soups are especially great. The real star for me though are the desserts(and sort of obviously so). Every single one is visually stunning with an aesthetic that will compel you to want to try. The only problem is that you’re going to have to choose. Even when we aren’t in the mood to actually eat desserts, I often bring guests/visiters to Nichole’s just to experience the excitement that a display case full of custom made designer desserts can bring. On more than one occasion, those same folks couldn’t help but buy something to try. For as long as they have them, you should have the caramel tarts – I couldn’t help but stuff my face with every last crumb. Also they make gluten-free chocolate truffles that are a rich delicacy; they also make great gifts. Tips: Nichole’s is closed on Sunday and Monday – a fact often forgotten by even locals, and on more than one occasion I’ve meandered there only to find disappointment. They also have ice creams made in shop with very interesting flavors(I distinctly remember«blue moon» flavored ice cream once). During downtown events/happenings, Nichole’s can become extremely busy with a long wait for pretty much anything; I’d go when things are perhaps a little less swamped for a better experience.

One more must see if you happen to be downtown in Fargo. When you walk through the door all will become clear. The dull colors of Fargo will be replaced with vibrant colors and scents. Let yourself be swept up into Nichole’s confectionary delights. From coffee, to pastries, to truffles they have all the bases covered. Have some onsite in the company of friends/family or enjoy a few in private. But treats like these are best shared. It would be easy to give them a five star rating. But artist must always aspire to something new. Update: The area in which items are purchased is fairly small. These are items that really should be appreciated as much in viewing and choosing as in eating. Some of us do which slows down the ordering process. Not s bad thing. The owners may want to open up that space some so us grazers out there can fully enjoy all your efforts. Without upsetting the regulars who are lucky enough to stop in frequently.

This is a place I definitely miss. I used to live just down the street and could walk here! This is a wonderful little bakery. Fresh, tasty, friendly service. Do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed!

There is one place to get fancy desserts in Fargo, and that is Nicole’s! Everything looks so pretty. They have such a variety of desserts including tarts, mousse, cakes, cookies, chocolates, muffins… the list goes on and on. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, but I’d have to say the sea salt caramel chocolate tart is my favorite item. Everyone in Fargo must try Nicole’s at least once. My heart is so happy everytime I’m there.

Why this place would have any less than 5 stars is beyond me! Nichole’s is the most perfect place ONEARTH. I don’t live in Fargo, I live out in the desert in Nevada, and I’m not kidding: I think about Nichole’s every day. Every time I come to Fargo to work and visit, I demand to come here. I would walk in the blistering snow 2 miles to arrive in Nichole’s warm arms and enjoy tiny coffees, sandwiches, and cute little tarts. Pies. Everything. Everything here is good. I’m across the country for Christ sake dreaming of tiny little cakes and pie and tea and… I’m serious. I love this place. I f%*#$g love Nichole’s. Anyone who gives it less than 5 stars should explain themselves. Food network needs to get on this business. For real.

The pastries are quite good her, but just to make sure I brought my 5 year old daughter just to make sure. She selected a pudding type cake with a chocolate shell. I picked a multi layer chocolate cake. Both were very well presented and tasted great. I also had some tea that was really quite good. It’s a quiet atmosphere here with some art and and an interesting neighborhood.

Perfect!!! Love it! Wouldn’t change a thing. Nicole’s has a nice mixture of café style dishes and desserts. Service is wonderful and the ambiance is quaint and cozy. The Crème Brûlée is fantastic. The custard is made with fresh vanilla bean and the consistency is light yet rich and complex at the same time. The Fruit Tart was perfectly topped with seasonal fruits and the crust was buttery and flaky. The Coconut Cream Pie was yummy with a scoop of fresh whip cream to top it off. The Vanilla Tea and Chocolate Panna Cotta is surprisingly light but very flavorful. Today’s soup was a Pulled Pork Stew which was absolutely perfect for a cold windy day.
