Delightful meal at People’s Organic Restaurant in Fargo. Great décor and good service. I would definitely recommend it as a good alternative to the usual chains. They specialize in vegan, organic and gluten free foods.

I love this place! It’s hard to find a restaurant that serves so many options with the focus on organic and healthy. I appreciate homemade efforts and being able to find Kombucha. The atmosphere is peaceful and service was great – definitely going back.. .

Hard to rate this as I had two dishes that were of incredibly different quality. I split their Breakfast Burrito first. This was fantastic. A+. Then we began to split the Tofu Scramble. I’ve tried homemade tofu scramble from 2 different people and have had it in a couple restaurants and this was just bad. It was super bland and only had a little kick and slight flavor from the curry and pepper. Their were too many veggies and not enough tofu. Every aspect of that dish was bad. A total waste of money. We also couldn’t get that dish in drive-through so we had to go outside and wait 10 minutes for our meal to-go. Hopefully there are other great dishes that are also available to go, because if so, this is a neat idea.

Had really high hopes for this place… In the cities we have a place called good earth, similar to people’s organic, but much, much better. We were expecting more of a sit down restaurant rather than ordering right up front. The food really wasn’t anything that great. We had a guacamole and salsa starter where the guacamole was practically brown and not great. My boyfriend had an extremely dry bison burger and I had a weird tasting turkey and pesto sandwich. We each ordered a side salad that was just old lettuce and weird dressing. Definitely would not recommend this place…

Went to Peoples Organic on a bit of a whim, and was glad I did. I like the concept, and the staff seated me quickly, put a beer in my hands in minutes, and then proceeded to serve some amazing food, including the chevre and pesto spread, the tomato basil soup, and the veggie burger. The veggie burger was good but not great, but I can overlook a lot when the rest of the food is good. It is a little expensive, but I think that a restaurant like this is a welcome oasis in the world of badly-done chain restaurants.

Love the business model, however their food is not very good. Very inconsistent from one visit to the next and not well seasoned(or seasoned at all). One visit I got a bowl of soup and the broth taste like hot water — absolutely no seasoning in it, very hard to eat. However I have gotten a dessert there that was delicious ! The problem is not knowing what you are going to get and if it is off the mark its way off! I wish they could get some consistency going and then I would be back. Until then…

I really liked the concept behind this place– they have organic, gluten free, vegan/vegetarian, farm to table, fair-trade, etc. so it’s a great option for most dietary restrictions. It also was very open and had a great setup. However I asked the cashier about a few dishes and could tell she didn’t like either so then asked for a recommendation. I was underwhelmed by her suggestion of the Mac & Cheese. It was gluten free. Normally I have no problem with GF but in this case the pasta was overdone and mushy. The sauce lacked depth and a fresh element so it was very heavy. If I ever have the chance to go again I would be more likely to try a wrap or sandwich.

Staff is very helpful and accommodating. Love the healthy dishes offered at this wonderful restaurant. Highly recommend Beverly as your server. Chicken Wild Rice Soup is superb. Caesar Salad is excellent, I highly recommend. Just met the Manager, Tonya and she is very nice and knowledgeable of her restaurant and menu…

On a positive note, I love this concept. Drive thru options for fresh, organic food. Decent gluten-free menu options which is a huge plus! Food is above average– 100% non-GMO and over 50% organic. Where they fail though(& miserably!) is in execution. I’ve now been here 3x. I’ve had the Cobb salad, roasted beet salad, chocolate mousse, Ham Gruyère sandwich, And Bison burger– all were great, the roasted best salad is my favorite(FYI– their mustard is gluten-free). The service however is horrendous. I’ve waited upwards of 30 min during full service when the restaurant is less than half full, &20+ during counter orders. The staff have a very hippy, laid back vibe and were not knowledgeable about the menu. If they invest in better management, this will be a real gem!

Great Introduction A new friend and I met for a late lunch. She ordered hordourves, I ordered the vegetable hash with brown rice and tofu. We ordered an extra plate and shared. Service is limited, you walk up to order, they deliver, though attentive. We ordered two glasses of wine and enjoyed the wine list. Will try a wine flight next time. Also enjoyed the water glasses and self service taps, choice of bubbly and still water. We enjoyed the presentation, preperation, the menu and the interior. I would add a note, I have a goal of eating plant based whole foods. I am not a Vegan; I eat vegan. It is easy to meet my goal here with a broad menu for veg folks and carnivorous folk alike. Will be back soon.

Nice atmosphere, coffee is pretty good. A lot of l organic/vegan/vegetarian option. But stuff who works there is bad. Food can be good but can be greasy or not fresh, coffee can be delusions or can taste crappy depends who makes it. Average place. But could be much better

Very Disappointing… Food was not prepared well. Staff basically threw our food in front of us. Then I remembered I am in Fargo not Edina or Wayzata.

Food is good, atmosphere is nice. It just seems quite expensive for ordering at a counter. My lunch was $ 30 for two people. I’ve gone three times and feel there are many other choices for less cost and better food.

My daughter recently became vegetarian, so we decided to try this restaurant out. We had a vegetarian burger with a salad and pumpkin ravioli. It was delicious! It wasn’t a ton of food but enough. Our server was very friendly and continued to fill our water glasses. We did not have ice with their water, but I prefer my water that way. The restaurant was bright and cute. We are definitely going back again.

Lots of great organic and vegan options, especially for a good lunch. Menu is a bit pricey. The atmosphere is open, clean, inviting. They have several large booths and tables available for large parties. They also have many loose leaf tea options for tea lovers! The service seemed a little chaotic and disorganized when ordering. However it was very timely! Staff is cognizant of removing empty plates out of customer’s way and keeping the store clean which is nice to see.

what a fun place! lots for everyone. Vegans and vegetarians have great options. but so do meat eaters. I love the funky atmosphere, and the free Wi-Fi! We went there for lunch on the way to the Fargo airport(close by) fast service, really fresh healthy food. We will be back next time we are in Fargo. and I want to check out their other locations as well. M aybe next time check out their wines… or their coffee. It is also a wine/coffee bar… so would be a fun place to just meet up with friends for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine…

Pros: Vegan, gluten free, and organic options. Everything I’ve tried has been really, really good. They have great veggie burgers and the coffee is pretty good(and fair trade). Cons: The service isn’t always great. They have a lot of very laid back people working there. Sometimes that’s good, but a lot of times, it’s bad.

While in town I wanted to check this place out because it was one of the very few selections of Vegan choices in good ‘ol Fargo. It’s a restaurant, coffee place, and bar, all in one.(Say Wha!?!) Sounds like a one-stop shop to satisfy your every need. Sure… why not! :) Walking in the place offers a very clean, modern, and welcoming atmosphere. We walked to the right of us to check out their menu, and ordered at the counter, and the gentleman was friendly, although not knowledgeable enough to tell me if the Veggie Hash was vegan. I had to ask and ensure that the veggies were not fried in butter, and only in oil. After we ordered, we sat down near the bar area. We didn’t wait too long, and our food came out. Beautiful presentations were plated and I couldn’t wait to dig in! And as soon as I did, my food was cold. Like, it was placed in the refrigerator cold after it was done cooking. :(I thought maybe the food would be warm more in the middle of the plate, and I was wrong. Utter disappointment. My son’s dish was fine. He said it was tasty, but a bit too much tomatoes on the inside of his omelet. The coffee and earl gray tea were tasty, and warm. Overall, I’m not too impressed, but will go back and give them another chance. Seems like they are still pretty new and need to work out a few kinks. Cheers!

A restaurant in Fargo that has gluten free and vegan options. I think this is great for Fargo. I went a few times since the La Quinta is close by and that’s where we stayed. The coffee isn’t bad, I may be used to extremely strong coffee, but it was fair trade and organic so that’s a plus. The raspberry bar, vegan, was pretty good, couldn’t tell there wasn’t any butter in there. I ordered a yogurt parfait which wasn’t bad, but then an employee told me the newer recipe was better and gave me one of those. And it was really good. Yogurt with agave nectar, berries then topped with granola. Another visit I ordered a salad and added chicken. It had goat cheese, cucumbers, roasted tomatoes, don’t remember what else. It was plenty of food, very fresh. I’m glad we were close this place. They many baked goods, salads, and even cold brewed coffee.

What a cool addition to Fargo! These organic, Gluten Free, and Vegan eatery is an airy and open layout that immediately puts you in the mood to take a seat and enjoy your experience; however it is a counter service type of place. The bright colored walls and the large, curved bar creates a happy space. The service was friendly but definitely could’ve been a little more attentive. The menu is extensive with a wide gamet of healthy eats. Ranging from large salads to yummy grilled meat entrees, there really is something for every appetite. What I was most intrigued by was the Ginger Asian Broth. I had to order it. When it arrived — I was surprised and excited to discover a hefty stock of sliced carrots on top of the soup. It was almost more a hearty serving of carrots and other veggies with a savory, but subtly broth below. My salad was a delicious combo of zesty greens, hummus, kalamata olives, and quinoa. All paired nicely with a smooth oil dressing. And last, but not least — I couldn’t get over that my dessert(a granola-ish bar covered in rich dark chocolate) was gluten free and vegan. Too good to be believe it wasn’t made with dairy or gluten. Good enough to convert me into a healthier eater.
