The worst!!! Staff including managers are rude and flat out refuse to address customer concerns.

Last two times I’ve spotted things well past their sell by date on the shelves. The first time it was sandwich meat — don’t recall dates but was a few weeks past sell by. Today, 9/21, it was Ciabatta with a best by date of 8÷28… Makes me wonder what else I can’t see that might be going on, or not going on, that might impact food safety. I won’t be going back to that location. Shop at your own risk!

Horrible customer service and no products on the shelfs. Manager not doing his job. Being handicapped a lot of non use the parking spaces and the city of Farmers Branch do nothing. If you need groceries go somewhere else

I come here all the time because I live blocks away — it is so terrible it has kind of become a running gag. As far as I can tell, only two or three employees are working at any given time. Its a very busy store so lines are often very long and if you need any sort of customer service, good luck. The self-check outs jam up quite often and there is no one available to fix them. I have seen people wait for long periods of time(over five minutes) waiting for assistance. When nobody came to help they just left the store with a basket full of groceries without paying. No employees noticed because no one was there. I don’t understand how a store that does so much business could have so few employees on duty. The employees can be very helpful — they just usually aren’t around. Sometimes the selection is great, some time it is terrible. I’ve been there several times when there were no bananas — and I mean not a single one. That’s not uncommon with other produce as well. They also seem to have a problem with damaged packaging. I have had trouble finding items that were intact and have taken back quite a few things for this reason. My neighbors have mentioned this too so its not just my bad luck. Also, at night, the stockers all hang around out front by the entrance and smoke. Most business have policies about this and provide their employees a break area so that they will not be in the way of the customers. A lot of people feel uneasy about walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke past of gauntlet of people loitering and being loud in order to enter a business. The Farmers Branch Police recently placed a mobile watch tower in the parking lot which makes me think that some stuff has been going down — I wouldn’t be surprised. Maybe they are there to stop the customers from walking out with their groceries since there are no employees there to do it. So will I return to this Walmart? OFCOURSE! Its only a couple blocks from my house and every time I go there I see something hilarious that makes for an awesome story to tell later.

Note — This review was originally posted on Walmart in error, not on Walmart Neighborhood Market. UPDATE012815– with the recent passing of beer and wine sales in Farmers Branch, the store just began selling those tasty libations ! They have a store brand of wine, Oak Tree, which sells for $ 2.97 a bottle. Okay, it’s obvious I am not a wine snob, but this light Pinot Grigio is pretty darn good. For a six bottle pack of Miller Lite for my beer drinking friend, the price is over a $ 1 less expensive than @ Goody Goody. What a deal, my go to place when the ‘fridge gets empty of these necessary items ! I am all stocked up for Super Bowl Sunday :) This NEW location in Farmers Branch located @ the Four Corners retail area(Josey & Valley View) just opened Friday 04⁄20. And, boy, were the crowds there. This part of town has been lacking a grocery store since Albertson’s closed several years ago so it is a welcome addition for the neighborhood. Parking wasn’t too challenging even with the hoards of folks pulling into the lot on opening day. The lot is quite large, so even though you may have a little walk, plenty of space is available. I’m very impressed with the feel of the store; sparkling clean(hey, it’s new !), very wide aisles making it easier to navigate around other shoppers who have stopped and are checking out every little thing on the shelves; friendly, friendly staff saying hello and welcome when passing by. Aisles are well marked making it easy to find what’s on your grocery list. Grocery selection? This visit met my needs with only one exception; will have to drop by Tom Thumb for that item. The Produce department is large, well organized and everything looked fresh. Even spied some organic selections. The meat department is huge, spanning almost the entire back wall of the building. Found that special ground turkey my fuzzy heartbeat likes, along with the Bird’s Eye Steamed Rice to mix with the sautéed meat. The specialty bread section will cause instant drooling; it’s most intriguing; fresh loaves to carry home and bake, luscious Focaccia, so many carbs that called my name, but I resisted. Next time. As busy as they were, check-out was quick and efficient. The cashier was so cheerful and thanked every customer with a big smile and«come back soon». I could go on and on about the well stocked food items in the store but you all know what grocery stores sell I am sure. One point of differentiation I noticed, this location has a large array of ethnic foods, many of which I’ve not seen in other grocery stores, probably to cater to the diversity of residents of the Farmers Branch area. It’s obvious WM has a great R&D department. And, the best part, PRICE. I am a real fan of Tom Thumb in Addison, my usual go-to store, but when I shop @ Wal-Mart NM for the same things I have bought @ Tom Thumb, without fail, WM saves cash to go in the dining budget toward some wafer thin, salty oily chips, tacos, and Top Shelf Margaritas. :) So, next time I have a «real» shopping list, WM, here I come !
