Buyer beware… Major shilling going on here. If you don’t know what that is, look it up! Such a shame, I had high hopes for the place in Dallas…

Went there once and bought some furniture a few years ago. Recently they have been calling every single day with a recorded message. I asked to be taken off the list years ago but they keep calling. A call a day is pretty annoying.

Love, love. love attending World of Décor Auctions. I have bought three beautiful, name-brand patio sets… fabulous quality(Bridgeton Moore) and wonderful functionality(fire pit, ice bucket, etc in table). I have beautified my home with mirrors and brass statues, as well as a few little knic-knacs that were too intriguing to pass up! The sales«event» is fun just to attend… comfortable and enjoyable… even provide complimentary drinks and snacks… Sam is the store manager in Dallas and a man of his word. I am sad that the San Antonio location just closed and looking forward to it re-opening in the near future!

I was recently shopping for Patio Furniture and came across World of Décor’s web page. Although their selection wasn’t that varied, their pricing was very competitive compared to other sites I had been researching, so I decided to call them and check availability of the items I saw on their website(availability being critical to my purchase decision). I carefully went over the various item #‘s of the merchandise I wanted to order with the sales associate on the phone; stressing that I was only interested in purchasing the merchandise if it was immediately available for shipping. Confirming availability, the next step was to pay and the sales associate was only to happy to process my credit card over the phone. He promised to call me back by end of day with a delivery date. The weekend passed & I didn’t receive a call regarding the delivery date. I promptly shot off an email on Monday morning to the store manager who responded that he would look into my order and get back to me with a delivery date. The week passed with no response from the store manager on a delivery date. So, I shot off another email to him the following Monday regarding(again) the delivery date & stating that my credit card had been charged for 100% of the purchase two weeks prior(knowing this would catch his attention as it is not common practice to charge prior to shipping & only to charge a % if it’s a special/custom order — which this was not). This time, I heard back from the store manager but only regarding the delivery(that I must of «misunderstood» his sales associate regarding availability –I don’t think so!), however he never addressed the charge on my credit card which by the beginning of week three had made it to the point of my credit card statement and was due. So, I called World of Décor’s corporate offices in Florida to complain and had a refund issued on my $ 4k+ purchase. Ironically, the next day the store manager called to say that my items had arrived and he needed to arrange delivery. Had he not read his emails? I had informed him I had called his corporate office & was disputing the charge to my credit card seeing how 3-weeks out I had yet to receive my merchandise. I could have taken the delivery, advised the corporate office to reverse my refund … but I didn’t want to. I don’t agree with rewarding a business with poor customer service, one who isn’t completely honest with their customers, one who elects to stretch the truth just in order to make a sale and draw a commission. There are too many other businesses out there hungry for a sale to settle for MEDIOCRE.
