When you pull up and walk to the door you start to smell the amazing crumb cakes. Thats when a smile comes over your face. If you dont see someone dont worry just ring the bell on the table and a sweet old lady comes out to greet you. The crumb cakes are great and if your into just the crumb they have bags of it for sale. Great place to get a snack for your morning coffee.

Great bakery in the industrial district of Farmingdale. They make everything from scratch here. Delicious(and addictive) crumb cake in few varieties(chocolate, raspberry) — all good. They also sell pound cake and brownies. Excellent accompaniment to the cup of Joe.

Delicious crumb cake! I mail ordered one to be delivered and it arrived in two days – right on the birthday! Very happy. It was fresh and full of big fat crumbs.

This is one of my happy places. I’ve been coming here for years. There are 2 things that make this place extra special for me. 1. The smell when you walk in is just insane. Sugary, buttery, nasal heaven. I’m not kidding. It’s incredible. You know you’re in for a real treat when you walk in. 2. The sweet old woman who runs the bakery is the sweetest ever. We walked in after not being there in over a year and she still recognized us. What gets better than that? We ordered some stuff for a family gathering for Sunday. 2 extra grande mixed crumb cakes and an extra grande tray of brownies. Since I was heading to my inlaws I also grabbed a medium mixed for them, and one for our home as well. The prices are insanely reasonable. For all that, with 2 small bags of crumbs given to us from the sweet old woman, our total came to $ 76. We’ll have tons of leftovers as well. Stop in, have a heavenly experience, and eat some damn crumb cake!

Tried the crumb cake with raspberry layer. Cash — only business. Luckily the other woman in the store offered me her change so I could purchase the crumb cake. It was better than others but there was some black specs atop my cake that were unattractive. Overall average experience.

To be honest I ordered a crumb cake. It wasnt until it was sent and two days from delivery I saw the letter from the FDA on their inspection of Hahn’s bakery. The crumb cake arrived it was OK and I’ve had better but the letter kept knawing at me. Eventually I threw out the crumb cake. Never again.

OMG — absolutely go here just for the«just the crumbs». We also got a crumb cake with one strip of raspberry, one strip of chocolate nad one regular crumb and it was amazing. The owner was lovely. The crumbs and the cake came out to 17 and he threw in an extra bag of «just the crumbs» for only 3 bucks! We devoured the bag of crumbs on our way home!

Hahn ‘s makes different varieties of coffee cakes. This is a wholesale establishment, but they do sell to the public. They are ok.

A woman relaxing in a rocking chair under a plant is always a good sign. Said woman was so friendly, offering multiple samples and a quick peek-in to the manufacturing facility while I decided what to purchase(cash only). Ended up with the $ 7 portion of the original(apparently 95% of their sales — love a woman with stats to back up her claims). As I went to walk out, she was kind enough to throw in a free bag of just-the-crumbs for this Hahn’s virgin — both items were pretty superb(this coming from someone who could take or leave your average crumb cake).

The owner is a horrific man that has no customer service skills. I stopped ordering because of how nasty he was to me on a phone call.

I first tried Hahn’s coffee cake years ago and whenever I am out in Long Island, I stop and pick up a large chocolate coffee cake. I stopped yesterday and arrived home to discover that the recipe had changed and my delicious chocolate drizzled coffee cake(as it is still described on their website) is no longer. I called to inquire thinking maybe I asked for the wrong thing and was told that yes, the recipe has changed. When I said that we preferred the original, I was told basically«oh well» and hung up on. I am very disappointed, but it’s one less thing that I will dream about.

Absolutely outstanding coffee cake! The cranberry orange pound cake was just a delicious. We brought these cakes to a family dinner and they were a real hit. Highly recommended! They do Internet order/delivery too.

Oh, the lengths I’ve gone to in search of sources for Hahn’s crumble cake! This stuff is AMAZING. I was in love the very first time my eyes crossed paths with this coffee cake whose streusel topping is literally twice as tall as the cake base. It’s the epitome of breakfast decadence. I first found this crumble cake as individually wrapped servings in a mom and pop coffee shop in Soma, San Francisco. Instantly hooked, I began stopping by regularly to stock up. Assuming the cake was locally made, I complimented the owner on its deliciousness, but to my surprise she said it was actually manufactured in NY and shipped over frozen! Shortly thereafter, shopping at Bristol Farms I came across larger portions of the exact same crumble cake. I was thrilled! You could get about 5 servings out of each slab, so stocking up became much easier. Strangely, Bristol goes out of its way to repackage the slabs in saran wrap, making them appear locally made, too, and there’s no indication that the cake comes from an outside vendor. I only discovered that Hahn’s is the true source when I got to Bristol one day and their floor display was empty. I asked if they had any more in the back, and sure enough they had just received a shipment. The slab they brought me was still in its original packaging with a label from Hahn’s. What luck! Not only did I finally have a sense for an appropriate portion — 125g is about 500 calories, according to the nutrition label — but I could contact the manufacturer directly to get more! Check out Hahn’s website, where you can order a number of different varieties — chocolate drizzled, raspberry, tins of crumble streusels all by themselves. I highly recommend ALL of them. The only downside is the ridiculously high shipping cost: I had to pay $ 28 for shipping on a 2 item order.

I wish I could say I had a chance to enjoy this ‘famous’ Crumb Cake. I am sure the cake itself is delicious, their customer service however, left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was sent a thoughtful care package that unfortunately was left at my doorstep without being notified and while I was away, It sat outside, in the rain for days and was eaten at by animals. When I called to notify the Coffee Cake Co. that their carrier service was a little less to be desired I was essentially told it wasn’t their fault nor was it their carrier services fault and they were not goign to put blame on anyone and that they were a small business and before I was astonishly hung up on, i was told I was basically ‘shit out of luck’. I make a living in the food industry and customer service is paramount in my business so I was taken aback when companies, such as this one, do not share our philosophy of no matter who’s fault it is, you always rectify the situation to ensure your product leaves a positive lasting impression. Never use this bakery for any personal or company gifts. I was shocked to see this small business has a big business mantra: of if one customer isn’t happy there will always be others so F-them.

Ok. I don’t even like Coffee Cake. I don’t even know why I decided to take a slice when my cousin offered me a piece on my vacation to New York. I mean we had Canollis why would I try Cake? But for some reason I decided I’d give it a try. I should have said NO! But now I’m hooked. this stuff is more addicting then crack. I found myself sneaking into the kitchen and cutting a piece off and then eating it straight out of my hand so no one would know. I must have gone back 4 or 5 times. When I woke in the morning all I thought about was the cake. I would eat a slice in the dinning room(away from everyone else eating in the kitchen) I kept adding another slice to my plate and pretended like it was the same original piece. In fact I think other family members were doing the same thing because that thing got a lot smaller each time I when to steal my slice. I even got a little upset when I saw my aunt eating the crumbs off the top while telling me how great it was(I mean who just eats the top with out eating the cake? Now who is going to be stuck with just the cake part?) I was so addicted I took a picture of the bag with my camera phone so I could look up the website when I got home. I was surprised when I couldn’t find them on Unilocal. So I added them myself. If I would have know they were located in New York I would have made a stop before leaving for home. Now I’m stuck paying the $ 17 shipping. As soon as I get paid I’m getting me another cake(but don’t anybody, I don’t want to share.)
