I’m not giving this one star for the food, It’s not that bad(Not great, but not bad either). I’m giving it one star because of the lack of atmosphere and appathetic attitudes of the staff there. We went in for dinner and asked for the«All You Can Eat» menus. They asked us what we wanted to drink, and we ordered Hot Tea. We filled out what we wanted from the menu and sat there for about 15 minutes. The place was nearly empty. There were only two other tables in use and the waiter was sitting behind the bar biting his fingernails. Finally, a female waitress(maybe the owner?) came by and finally took our menu order. When the soup came out, we asked about the Tea and was told it was brewing at that moment. The food came out slowly. So slow in fact, that the entire meal took over an hour and a half, and I’m not a slow eater. Of the five sushi rolls we ordered, only four were ever brought to us and when it came time for dessert, I was told that even though we were paying for All-You-Can-Eat, I could only order 2 scoops of ice cream.(i asked for 3). And we never did get our Teas. Over-all, their AYCE menu is a few dollars more than other similar restaurants. They discouraged the people at the table next to us from the all you can eat because only one person wanted it rather than the entire table. They are not customer-centric and don’t seem to even want to be there. I will not go back to Jade Palace and I recommend nobody else go either.

Sushi is scary. Buyer beware. Chinese is okay. Soft shell crab was very oily. House special soup was delicious.

Just went here the other night. Atmosphere: VERYPRETTY! Would be a nice date night place to go to. But, the energy in the place was non-existent. No one greeted us. When they weren’t at our table, it was like the customers didn’t exist. It was like a morgue in there as far as the feeling and energy. It was bizarre. Food: It was pretty good. We had moo shoo pork, steamed dumplings and some soup. Service: While the service was OK(not great… they were nice when they were actually at the table), we waited quite awhile for dinner and didn’t get any tea or crunchy noodles. It was the first time I was ever at a Chinese restaurant and didn’t receive either. While it WASNOT a bad experience, I wouldn’t go back. I would prefer to go back to Thai Taste(yeah, that is Thai, not Chinese) in Massapequa where there was a great energy and the owner greeted us and made us feel really welcome. Maybe it was a weird energy because it was pouring outside? Who knows. I guess I would say give it a shot… the food was good. Perhaps it was just an off night.

Visit Date: November 15, 2013 Came here for dinner with Hubby! The atmosphere is very nice, it’s what I like to call club swank chinese but it works. Basically I’m saying the place serves chinese food in a swanky club like atmosphere of a restaurant. We were actually the only people in for dinner on that night. The waitress was very accommodating in giving me a bento box vegetarian style. I enjoyed the miso soup, rice, and I believe the teriyaki tofu. I didn’t really dig the salad all that much. They made their own dressing but they put fruits inside of it and personally for my palad it wasn’t the kind of fruit that works with a salad in combination. I tasted a strong hint of grapefruit which I didn’t dig. So besides the salad the place was decent, the waitstaff was nice, a lovely little chinese place to come to in Farmingdale, although I like lotus garden better.

Came here New Year’s Day, we wanted to go to another restaurant but failed to remember an important fact which is it’s New Year’s Day. There are not much businesses that are open when the new year comes, but fortunately Jade Palace saves the day. Decent ambiance and spacious inside, although the service wasn’t anything exceptional. My group were the only customer when we came here around 1pm. They gave us some fried noodle crackers which we all agreed were good. However, the food was another story, might have ordered the wrong thing but I didn’t quite enjoy my food. The singapore mei fun lacked flavor and the general tso chicken wasn’t cruncy at all.

Don’t bother eating their Japanese food. I know a lot of Chinese restaurants like to serve both and usually do a mediocre job at sushi and Washoku but it was awful. I thought their Chinese food was pretty tasty. It had all the greasy, shiny, salty components that the standard westerner expects from Chinese food. Nothing authentic on the menu, if that’s what you’re into. It looks okay and is one of the better places in Farmingdale for take out. You won’t be blown away but if you want to eat some classics this is the place to get it from. Just get it to go.

I placed an order at 645. I live in Bethpage. I expected 30 mins. since I have ordered from Jani in Hicksville, and they have delivered in that time frame. Food took an hour. I cancelled. They showed up anyway, and bc the older man was so cute, I paid half and took the food. Bad move. Chips: stale. Vegetable egg roll: stale My son had to leave bc it took so long, so I will have to repost how his food was tomorrow. Listen to the reviews people. I should have. And btw, I have eaten here before. dine in. It was better, but I agree with the woman who complained about the tea. Whats up with that? Just refill the tea!

Pretty bad… nasty service. Place from the outside made me think it was going to be good. The Chow Fun wasnrt to bad but my date kept telling me that the chicken wasnt chicken maybe it was the Frog! LoL! I wanted Tea… he kept filling the Tea kettle half way… I called him over 4 times and he kept giving me an attitude while the place had only me as a customer!!! Carpet floors? Kinda gross.

sorry to have to post this but my friend ordered from there today, and she found in her food… what looked like a piece of Broccoli was actually a small frog. Ewwwwwww. They gave her money back, and apologized. But still. I wish I could post a pic of it on here is a link to the pic. Enjoy!

We order for Jade Palace ALL the time for either delivery or we dine in. The food is really good and the delivery is pretty decent. If you do decide to dine in, it’s can be a little longer wait, they seem to be understaffed. They always have coupons if you order a certain amount you get a can of soda, sushi, soup or an entrée.

A group of 6 of us decided to go to Jade Palace for lunch because our first restaurant choice was packed and looked like it would be at least a 30 minute wait. The Jade Palace building does look a little tacky with the the old Chinese bamboo-style roof. The inside décor is your typical Chinese restaurant: tables with white cloths on top. There are about 15 – 20 tables inside the establishment and a full bar. We were the only one’s in the restaurant at 1PM, but 2 or 3 customers had entered from the rear entrance to pick up their take-out orders at the bar. Service was good, the waitress was very polite, taking our orders and making sure everything was alright. The music in the restaurant was a bit odd, far from unpleasant, but having no relevance to the theme of a Chinese restaurant. Perhaps, the owners were listening to their own music since we were the only ones there. Upon sitting down, the waitress brought over complimentary fried noodle crackers with duck sauce. The crackers were not too oily and the duck sauce was the standard. For my lunch entrée, I ordered Chicken with Garlic Sauce(chicken, water chestnut, mushrooms, and zuchini?) w/Brown Rice, and Hot & Sour Soup for around $ 5.65 + tax/tip. The Hot & Sour soup was a little dark(probably from the soy sauce) but tasted like the ordinary, slightly on the vinegar side. The Chicken w/Garlic sauce was pretty good. The chicken was tender, the water chestnut was crisp/crunchy, but the zuchini was slightly undercooked(hard). The zuchini could have been cooked a little more to make it tender. The garlic sauce was good, but ever-so-slightly on the salty side. In all, the dish was decent but easily forgetabble. I tried my colleague’s Beef Chow Fun which was cooked perfectly and was very delicious. The flat noodles were soft and not oily, and the beef was very tender and tasty. I wish I had gotten that dish so I could indulge my tastebuds in such a simple, yet yummy dish.
