The food was just decent here. I don’t think the food had anything special in it. The flavoring was bland as well. I would think that the staff would be friendly and or cheerful considering that this place is new but I did not see any of that.

I saw the review of this place when they first opened. They also popped up while searching«Hot new business» on Unilocal.I was pretty excited to check the place out. I can say after stopping in this place for lunch, that it is at best a mediocre steam table joint. The place has a decent selection of hot foods to choose from, the only problem is that when you can see a solid film form on top of tray of hot food, you know it’s not fresh. When you can’t get fresh rice and beans at a Latin steam table food place, it’s time to skip. I was really hoping for better.

my previous review was pulled because i didn’t mention i had been there just was asking why it was called Mineola Deli if it was in Farmingdale, that being said, i have been to the original and this one is also quite good. I do enjoy their tacos and they always are friendly and pleasent.

Yes Friends, no sooner than the banner of this quite cool bodega is being put up. am I on the scene ready to test out some tacos for our ever expanding cuisine knowledge base. While pulling into this out of the way little ol’ back street strip center, to test out D & D bakery on a fellow Unilocalers recommendation, I stumbled into this just opened yesterday Tex/Mex and Spanish food — 2nd location of Mineola Deli. Mineola Deli II is here and they are fast as lightening. They have a big store, a long case of food ready cooked, and when I asked for 3 beef tacos to go, they literrally came out within ONE minute. Super Tex Mex mystery cook is obviously back there and used to dealing with crowds likely from a far busier location. Everything was clean, fresh looking and what I tried was good. Not overy sauced at all, and nice diced chopped green peppers and some tomato made this refreshing and light. Without asking they had dashed hot sauce on them and it was not noticable. Met the owners brother who was seeing to all the details in the kitchen, the outside sign and vendors. Etc. Nice people! Friendly. No webstie yet so call ahead.
