Having just moved, we had several projects spanning most of the rooms in our new home. We worked with Fred and team from the floor store and purchased carpeting, hardwood, ceramic tile and area rugs. Our experience with Fred, Ron and Elise was a pleasure, they offered many suggestions and made this somewhat overwhelming process very easy. In regards of the installation, their crew did an excellent job. We are very satisfied with the finished product and overall experience with the store. I highly recommend The Floor Store.

My experience with the Floor Store in Farmingdale, NY was simply horrendous. They took my money and left me with a kitchen floor that had pronounced indentations and air pockets. The newly installed saddle was also damaged. The owner, Fred, took no responsibility and only offered an arrogant and defensive posture. He spoke to me in a rude and condescending manner. Another customer review posted here by Craig S. perfectly sums up my experience«Customer Service doesn’t live here». Needless to say, stay away from this store . .

As an Interior Designer perfection, quality and cost are of utmost importance. After trying several to the trade flooring specialists a friend recommended The Floor Store. This was four years ago and we are still working together. Making the cover of Newsday Home was an added bonus

Had a small order for edging tile that turned out to be a ‘special order’ finally arrived after two months of waiting(I don’t fault them so much for that, but I had to keep calling them to give me an ETA from the Manufacturer) Initially they were nice enough as I described my project & what I required. When they did come in, many of the border pieces were not what I wanted — they were ‘capped’ instead of ‘regular’. They would not return them nor refund me my money. I got stuck with them and they told me «it was my fault & was what I ordered» in quite an overbearing, rude way. I know it wasn’t a ‘large’ order but $ 100 is a $ 100, and if they treat the ‘little guy’ this bad, I fear what the ramifications would be if I gave them more $. If you DO use them, do NOT pay fully until you know you have what you wanted, or you’ll get stuck like me. I’ll take all my business elsewhere and tell my family & friends to do so as well.
