Most racist Asian women ever. We walked in a brown guy, black guy, latina women and asian women(all professionals with Master’s Degrees) and we ordered food to go. The women says you all need to wait outside even though the whole restaurant was empty. Food is ok but not worth talking to a racist women who shows no curtsy to paying patrons.

Ok, this was my second swing with trying our this spot and the first time around it was decent. Got a few spring rolls and shared some fried rice with my coworker. Second time around I order the chicken curry and my coworker go the fried rice. I can be very honest in saying that I did not enjoy my food. It lacked depth of flavor. For a $ 10 meal, I was very under delivered as far as quantity. I was left hungry after the meal mainly because I couldn’t eat all of it. The potatoes were under-cooked and I didn’t want to eat semi raw potatoes. The fried rice was also not consistent with the previous flavor. I don’t know if they changed cooks or what. I was very unhappy and would 100% never go back.

The place had a nice ambiance. It’s a small restaurant with fairly decent food. The food did not wow me, but it wasn’t bad either. There was a very sweet lady running the whole show the night we went. I’m giving this place a 4 cause the overall experience I had makes me want to go back the next time I’m in Long Island.

We go here on a regular basis. Now I must say that I’ve had Thai food at many places, including one time at the Thailand Embassy to the UN in New York City. The food here at Tiny Thai was as good as that. Just not as spicy, which can be an adventure with Thai food. The spring rolls are great, the sack of gold, which is basically small pouches of vegetables in a sort of fried thin-walled dumpling are outstanding. The won ton soup is terrific also. We have tried many of the entrees and have not been disappointed with any of them. It is a small restaurant, very intimate. The service for eat-in is very good, very attentive. I note that people who come in for carry out seem to order their food and expect it within a couple of minutes. I guess that’s fine for storefront Chinese food, but not here. Quality takes some time. Call ahead and you’ll be fine. Highly recommended. Not too expensive either.

I am giving it a 2 stars only because the waitress was attentive. My food was partially cold. It tasted like it was put in the microwave right before it was served to us. The thai flavors are there, but JUST barely. My dish was suppose to have veggies with the chicken, and the veggies consisted of 90% peppers and onions. Surprisingly disappointing.

This place is amazing! Seriously a must try. It is located on the Main street of Farmingdale which is boasting with other restaurants and the area is coming along nicely with new additions. Tiny is the right name for this place… I think they have 6 tables that seat 4 people and 2 or 3 that seat 2 people. Super small but oh how delicious! I’ve been here a few times and I’ve tried the spring rolls, dumpling soup, pad thai among many things. The food is always on point and hot and fresh. I

A sweet little mom and pop shop that hits your Thai craving right in the spot. I had the drunken noodles and had plenty on my plate. I felt that the spices were present but could have been better incorporated. Additionally, I like my spices to have a greater dimension to them. The spices chosen didn’t add a layered nuisance to the dish. The noodles were cooked to a good consistency. I did feel that there should have been more tofu in my dish than I had received. But it was a yummy dish overall. I then ordered the coconut desert and it was a simple sweet and savory dish. It was a bit smaller than I had expected for the pricing, but it was well executed. There are two layers with contrasting characteristics that melded beautifully. The bottom layer is a rice derivative and provides a sweet flavor with a gelatinous consistency. The top layer is the coconut aspect and is very buttery and light. The saltiness of the coconut complements the rice portion well. The fact that it was served warm was a wonderful way to maximize the flavors. Th waitress was warmly attentive and very hospitable. Her smile certainly added to my experience! As the main waitress in this small little shop, she’s a fantastic face for the business. She helped provide a very down to earth environment. I would prefer a lower price point for smaller servings. The prices were fair albeit still a bit high for a mom and pop shop. But, it was a overall a good experience.

These people below me are clowns. If you know anything about great food, you would have given 5 stars. I am adamant about the high quality of Thai food you will receive here. I have eaten locally as close to everywhere as you can get, and this place ranks among the top. Every item on the menu is fantastic. Today I had the pad Thai with wonton soup lunch special. So good. Last but definitely not least, the service is fantastic. A lot of people have an issue with how efficient they are. To clarify, only dumb people. This place is busy almost all the time. Efficiency is a must. If you need 20 minutes on your lunch break to ponder on a menu of 8 items, then this place, or most places are not for you. Keep up the great food and service Tiny Thai. Don’t you ever change. Shout out to the waitress Tanya. She is amazing.

Let’s start with the good, the service was great. One woman operation in the front of the house, and she had just about a full house. Granted it’s not very big, but still a big undertaking. She was constantly going from the back to the tables. And now the bad. The food just wasn’t very good. I ordered the Flaming Shrimp because I was in the mood to see food come out on fire. It was just terrible. The shrimp was coated in this disgusting thick sauce, and the shrimp were cold. And it wasn’t cold due to it being out, it was cold as in it’s been in the fridge. Maybe it’s supposed to be served that way, but it shouldn’t. The curry my wife got tasted nothing like the curry she usually gets. No flavor. How can curry have no flavor? The Golden Bag app sounded promising, we’ve had variations before, but these just didn’t have any flavor and the sauces didn’t help. The other appetizer was so good I can’t even remember what it was :). And this didn’t happen to us, but the Pad Thai at the table right next to us came out way too quickly, which makes me wonder what is going on in back — is it pre-cooked? It just isn’t possible for it to be made that fast. We had a couple of bottles of red wine, the first of which had spoiled, but not to the point where we couldn’t suck it up and drink it. We’re not going to start returning wine bottles at a LI Thai place unless there is a body floating in it — we’re not that couple. A tip for the server, those five different bottles of wine that you have on display by the register, they should stay on display. Keep those there and get the wine from the back. The first one you took down off the shelf and gave to us was probably bad for that reason. Could easily give one star based on the food, but the server was hustling. Granted she screwed the pooch with the wine, but she was still working her ass off. She also offered us a table for 4 even though it was just the two of us, we declined and went with the a table for two. We’re used to this sort of thing since we’re both really, really, ridiculously good looking. We’re pretty sure there’s a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And we plan on finding out what that is. :)

Good food, servers are running around a lot. Better service would make this place a 5. Portions are a little small, but reasonably priced.

Why 2 star? SERVICE. waiter skipped me 3 times to give my table to someone else. Saying«huh they came first». No, because even the customers I was standing around felt bad for me and offer to share their table. I still ate there after 30min wait since friend needed to just have something and get back to work. Fried rice was good I liked it a lot. BUT, like many others said in the comments they have issues with service.

Maybe I’m spoiled from all the amazing Thai food I had in the City, but I wasn’t blown away by Tiny Thai and really didn’t think their food was that great. I really wanted pad see ew, but they didn’t have it and I was pretty surprised. Thought that was a staple, but settled for the drunken noodle. He had the masaman curry. Our food came fairly quick and the portions were big, but the taste just wasn’t there. My drunken noodle was just spice and nothing else. His curry was good but there was such a small portion of rice, he was basically drinking soup in the end. Wasn’t worth getting another bowl of rice for. This place seems to be a favorite in the area, so I was really hoping for more, but there was nothing special about this place at all. Okay food for a decent price, but it didn’t help my Thai craving at all. Service was good, but based on the food alone, I likely won’t come back again.

Tiny Thai is indeed tiny, but you know what? Good things can often come in small packages. Located next to the Rolling Spring Roll, this little place is run by a powerhouse of a slim, petite woman and its miniscule kitchen churns out great food at rapid pace. The lunches here are a steal at $ 7 for soup or salad, a spring roll, and an entrée, and the portions aren’t to be sneered at. Dinner isn’t much bigger but the prices are higher, making it less of a value. Nonetheless, it’s fast, it’s good, and it’s inexpensive and they make some banging Pad See Ew(called Red Noodles here) and Thai dumplings here.

Sweet lil lady stressed by old age and running a business with her husband. Friendly service, and a good dish or two… enjoy it with a smile on your face, but expect slow service and nothing too crazy in tees of discussion. Take this tiny Thai place ft just that, what it is. Don’t be rude and bang on the door, don’t be a grouch, and try some things out. My favorite in most Thai cuisine is the musaman curry. Tiny Thai is a bit pricy as well but they’ve been in business for years and I haven’t been too disappointed with the food other than that. Don’t expect a fast cheap meal, that not why you come here.

I returned after coming here many times very satisfied in the past. I was dismayed that I specifically ordered brown rice and no white rice, and Instead they give me brown rice and white rice. The green curry was in one small partition in their strange, 3 partition take out containers, and all I can remember eating is tofu and string beans with the curry and rice. And the soup with one or two broccoli which was ok, but it felt too skimpy for paying over 10 dollars for it(to be clear, the curry and the soup). I’ve gotten better from other Long Island Thai restaurants. I realized I liked this place very much, but I came to realize that the service is inconsistent. I hope they improve. They certainly have the potential to do so.

In Farmingdale Monday around 5 and wanted food so we parked and checked the end of main street by the tracks where both Tiny Thai and Rolling Spring are located. RS was our first choice but was closed on Mondays… So, we went to Tiny Thai. Was after 5(opening time) and we went to the door and was locked. I saw waitress in back and banged on door and she finally opened it up. Our cool reception was a harbinger of what was to come! We got the menus and it is actually sparse in choices… tiny place with tiny menu… Asked if I could get food thai hot and she admitted they dont use Thai Chili’s and brought us crushed red pepper and mild chili sauce to add some heat. This was a weak beginning as we like our food«hot». Got appy of Steamed Dumplings with a sauce comprised of soy sauce and fish sauce. When I tasted it I asked for a bowl of fish sauce to put over the food to give it some stronger flavor. Our mains comprised of Thai Basil Chicken and Drunken Noodles. Both dishes lacked the flavor and heat we requested but were unable to have. The food was not bad but not what we were looking for considering most Thai Restaurants can serve Thai Hot. The Basil Chicken, which should have had some zip was too sweet for our liking and Bonnie G., spooned copius quantities of red chili sauce on top to try to negate that sweetness… something she never does. We both cleaned our plates due to hunger but after discussing the cool service and preparation of food it was mutually decided to not return and go to a Thai restaurant that serves«real» Thai food!

Very good Thai meal here… First time. Steamed dumplings were good but Sausage Salad was better. Tangy dressing with lots of Chinese sausage. Perhaps a bit of char on the sausage might have helped. Interesting Thai basil sauce– very flavorful but such a deep red color! I guess that was a good sign. Very good pineapple fried rice. I’d give ½ star more if possible but the waitress seemed bored and didn’t respond when spoken to.

I have recently discovered my love for Thai food and this is the third Thai restaurant that I have tried. It is by far my favorite and I don’t even feel the need to try others, this has become my «go-to». The food here is excellent and I highly recommend the curry puffs, wonton soup and spicy fried rice. It’s a nice small place and very laid back atmosphere.

I’ve heard stories about how the food is great but the service sucks at Tiny Thai for years now. I finally decided to give this place a try for a late lunch one day and boy am I happy I did. For $ 8 you get an entrée with soup or salad and a spring roll. The wonton soup was some of the best I’ve ever had. The wontons were the perfect size and not overly doughy. My entrée was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. Service was ok, but I can see the one waitress getting overwhelmed if the place was packed. As the name suggests, this place is tiny, so I can see it getting packed easily. If you’re near Farmingdale and in the mood for some Thai food you can’t go wrong here.

My co-worker and I wanted to go out to dinner on a Friday night. «There’s this Thai place in Farmingdale we should go to. I don’t remember the name.» «Tiny Thai?» «Yeah! That’s it.» «I love that place.» «Me too!!» I crave this place a lot. It’s close by and has very fair prices for the large portions they serve. Many people I’ve met mention they love it there too. They think it’s like some secret spot no one knows about. Silly. Anyway, I’ve only ever eaten the spicy fried rice with shrimp or chicken or their drunken noodle for my main course. Both dishes I order level 5 spicy. I tell them to make it super spicy. One time they put spices on the side for me to add in and it really hit the spot. They never disappoint. It is to die for! So good. Love this place.
