TLCC Dog Patch

The best dog training I have found so far! I have used this facility to assess multiple foster dogs and address issues with them and my personal 4 year old xl-​breed dog.
I highly recommend the training and services to anyone in need for their dogs. They have been spot-​on with their assessments and has made fostering dogs and rehabilitating their behaviors so much easier. The dogs love going to the facility also! Wonderful Place!

Love this place! My puppy is enrolled in obedience class and Tenielle, the instructor is great. It may smell like pee but the folks here truly care about and love dogs and cats. I was recommended by a friend with pit bull rescues for classes. Not only do they help you learn to train your dog, but they are very helpful with any questions you might have. Tenille even taught me how to trim my puppy’s nails! Prices for classes are very reasonable, but mostly I love this place because you can tell they truly care and love animals.
I can’t comment on their grooming or boarding services because I haven’t used either but If you’re looking to adopt a dog, I’d recommend going to Dog Patch too. They train all their puppies before adoption!
The Dog Patch really helped me understand my puppy and I can’t express how glad I am that I brought my lil guy there for obedience classes. He’s still a crazy little Boston terrier but now I feel I have more control and understanding of him. Overall, a great place that I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for dog obedience classes.

Great dog facility! Very flexible and reasonably priced. My dog came home happy and always looks forward to going. What sets this place apart from others like canine college is that the owner actually is a trainer and knows how to keep the dogs in check.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. The worst cut I have ever gotten on my dog and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I took my teacup yorkie terrier in for a routine groom. I was absolutely appalled. I took her in the groomer came out to meet me, very young girl kind of a deer in the headlights look. I asked for a puppy cut and she didn’t seem to know what I meant. So I explained not a full length air on the floor yorkie, shorter hair. I showed her about how long I wanted her skirt and eyebrows and that I would prefer her back legs and around her face a little bit shorter. When I picked her up it looked like they had taken a razor to her. All of her hair was one length extremely short and choppy as heck. It was clear they had used a scissors because of how choppy and uneven it was, but she was so short you would think she was shaved. She had no skirt and on top of all that, they cut off her eyebrows!!! Please tell me what terrier on the face of the earth has no skirt and no eyebrows!!!
I was forced to pay for her before I got to see her and then when they brought her out, I was so appalled I ran right out of there. It smells to high heavens in there as well, soo there was no way I was sticking around longer than I had to. When I got home I called them and asked to talk to the owner/​manager. The lady on the phone listened to everything I had to say and then made excuses for why she looked the way she did. «oh you need to specify that you want her eyebrows kept» «everybody looks for something different and the term shaved is subjective» I used to work for groomers, so I know what a puppy cut is and I know what terrier standards are.
At the end of the conversation, she asked me what is was looking for with this. I said well frankly I would like my money back. «oh, well that’s not our policy here, I can offer you a discount on your next service» Do you think I am coming back there after this??? NO I told her that I felt she was just making excuses, that I have had several groomers and never had a problem with saying puppy cut and never had any of my terriers come out like this. I told her she was not making anything better and that I felt there customer service was lacking. She got snotty with me and told me that they have plenty of customers that are happy with their services and have been coming there for years. Then she had the nerve to say «Let me ask you a question if you were happy with your previous groomers, why did you leave your last groomer then and come try us??» Well lets see, I moved… from Chicago and prior to that the suburbs, and then a different state prior to that. That’s why I have switched groomers and I have never had such horrible service. I chose to try you cause I read some nice reviews and figured I would give it a try. The woman continued to argue with me saying I could bring her back and they could even her up which would only make her shorter. I asked a few more questions about what she would’ve done if I had saw her before I paid was unhappy. She made excuses and said they would offer the same things — to clean her up or a discount next time, so essentially sorry your unhappy, can we have your money now???
Needless to say I will not be going back and if I were you and had a terrier, I wouldn’t take your dog here either because obviously they don’t know how to handle a terrier, idk how they handle other dogs but I wouldn’t risk it

I have a Chihuahua who is small but a real pain in the butt when it comes to nail trims. She had previously been banned from a chain pet place so I called The Dog Patch to see if they could help & they said they would be more than happy to work with her. They are a full service dog space, they have boarding, day care, training, grooming, socialization, rehab & tons more. I’ve only used their nail trim service but they are great with my little one, they get her in and out… they do nail trims as walk-​ins Monday through Thursday 8 — 4 & Saturday’s 8 – 1 and charge $ 10. They have a selection of pet products in the lobby from dishes to clothes & more.
My only complaint is that it smells like animal pee but the animals who are there for day care always seem really happy to be there so if they don’t mind it’s all good! There is usually a dog barricaded behind the counter that wants your attention & occasionally a cat roaming around the lobby. I definitely recommend this place to anyone In the area.
