My boyfriend and I ate here and got the special for St. Patrick’s day. There were green meat tacos. When I asked the server if they were still selling their tacos the day after St. Patrick’s Day she stated, «Yes, we need to get rid of that green meat.» This made me concerned, but I ordered the special anyways. I also ordered an Armadillo Egg. The tacos were very bland, dry and looked terrible with the green meat. When I got the Armadillo egg 10 minutes after my order of tacos it was so burnt I couldn’t eat it. I was hugely disappointed and I hope that they work to remake their menu as I would like to see them be successful.

Delicious and very unique offerings. Guadalupe Cheesesteak burrito was mouth watering good. Spouse really like the Armadillo Egg but it was too spicy for me. Great spot to go in Farmington.

Dag Nabbit! I heard they had some changes and my son and I were looking for a place to get our grub on, so here we are, back after a long break. This month is their one year anniversary and in that time there’s been some changes and growth, including a name change. I still want to have a decent place like this close to home so i guess I’m willing to give them another chance. If you were to read my previous review, you would know I had written this place off. First thing I noticed is that they’ve added some menu items but we stuck with«the Ol ’ Reliable.» He had tacos, I had the bowl. The food was good. This time everything that should be hot was hot, that was already an improvement. I would love more seasoning/heat in the meat. I like cilantro and lime and it would be nice if they were available as sides or add-ons. I had the chips and queso too, the queso had a nice bit of heat though the cheese had the taste and texture of precessed cheese like Velveeta. It was OK. I liked that it had some heat to it. Perhaps the biggest improvement was the guy behind the counter. He was friendly, helpful, articulate, and seemed genuinely interested in the customers. This was a great improvement over our past experience. He talked about the food and explained what they served to people as they made their orders. He alone made me reconsider my past review. Great job! I hope he expects this same level of service of his staff. They added an old school Nintendo so my son and I were able to play some Mario and Duck Hunter. He won and got high score. WOOT! In the end, I’m glad I came back. It goes to show, sometimes people and restaurants can change and get better. Now I have to deal with my wife who is a little annoyed I went without her. I guess we’ll be back.

I immediately noticed the Minnesota Grown sign in the window. Thumbs up for trying to use locally sourced food. I had a buffalo chicken crunchy taco, I thought it had good flavor. I also had a veggie fresco soft taco. My spice loving husband said it had some heat. So, it wasn’t just my Scandinavian palate picking up the spice. My husband had a soft ol reliable, pretty basic with chicken, sour cream, lettuce and tomato. He also had a soft shell black and blue taco, he liked it but felt it probably didn’t need the bacon on top.(Don’t get me wrong, he loves bacon.) He sampled each of the taco sauces. He said the hot was pretty hot! My husband liked the dry rub wings. He can feel the lingering heat in his mouth, according to him that is what he wants. Pretty decent Minnesota street-like tacos.

They have improved since opening, food seems to be better. The old reliable bowl is huge now. I will keep coming back.

This is the second time my friends and I’ve ordered from this place when I’ve been at their house. Whether the order was for six people or only three they told us it was a 45 minute wait. It felt like an hour the last time. I actually timed him this time and they showed up at the door 45 minutes later. So they are truthful. I got the tacos O reliable last time and the O reliable burrito this time. Both are very good. the beef had a little bit a kick to it. I prefer more sour cream on it but that’s a personal preference. I’d order from them again. My friends who are foodies think it’s a little bland, but don’t think it’s bad.

I have eaten here a dozen times since it opened and think its alright. The service and menu has gradually gotten better over time. I would recommend trying the Black and Blue as this seems to have the best flavor. One gripe I have is a burrito costs $ 10 plus tax whereas, I could go to Chipotle and get a customized burrito for $ 7.

As a Farmington resident and someone who loves Chipolte, I was really hoping this would be a great alternative to the long lines at the AV Chipolte. The burritos are nothing like Chipolte and they really do not allow you to custom order your food. Twice they have been completely out of their medium salsa, which is my favorite. They have also made mistakes twice regarding our order. My wife gets their traditional olé reliable beef tacos and twice we have got home only to find chicken tacos(i get the siriacha chicken burrito). My biggest complaint about Taco Andales is the ridiculous wait time. Our order has NEVER been ready if we call ahead, and if we walk in to order we wait for at least 15 minutes for our order to be ready even if we are the only customers in the place. What makes this frustrating is the employees will literally stop making our food as they talk to each other, and place no urgency on completing our order while we sit and wait. I would suggest allowing customers to custom order their food as not everyone wants cole slaw or fritos on their burrito. I would also suggest placing a higher priority on speeding up your order completion. Despite their short comings the food tastes pretty good. However, until they make some needed improvements to the customer experience we will continue with the long lines at Chipolte since it doesnt take any longer to actually get our food, and we can choose the ingredients on our food.

Really good tacos! Service needs a little practice for double checking that orders are complete, but being new they are probably trying to work out those issues. Siracha chicken tacos are addicting

The best tacos around! Love the delivery! Love the duck hunt and Mario in the dining room!

We eat here all the time great food, but very inconsistent. Every time we order the tacos are cold, The queso is made differently and is a different size, also the amount of chips they give you is different, either they give you half a huge bag or a small like handful and for the same price. I just wish the food was warm and they had some consistency, hopefully they read this and make some changes because I do love how convenient it is to grab a bite of good food quick.

We went here on the advice of my boss. I ordered the summerswine bowl. I liked it but with the description listing Apple Slaw I had really hoped for more of an apple taste. I would like to go back and try the tacos. I also got the chips and salsa. I prefer more of a chunky pico type salsa so I didn’t really care for the purée type salsa they offered.

We live near here and were excited to have a new place to go. We have eaten here 5 times, each time hoping they would work out the issues. They did not. The food is so-so, not great. The customer service ranged from bad to terrible. We tried several menu items in burrito and bowl form. We tried the chips and salsas and the tacos. Nothing stood out and we wanted it to get better and kept going back. Finally, we had to stop. It ended when we had an issue with the taco meat being cold, not warmish, actually cold, like not warmed up. The congealed fat in the meat was quite unpleasant. We contacted them and they essentially said we were wrong!!! That was it. No more chances. With the mediocre food and the poor customer service, we decided enough was enough and moved on. We will spend our $$ elsewhere and wait for the next new restaurant to move into the location. Maybe the next one will get it right!

I’ve had the opportunity to try a few offerings from Taco Andale. Patrons should definitely try the dry-rub wings — delicious. The chicken nachos with queso are also very tasty. I’ve tried a few of the taco salads and those have been just okay. However, Taco Andale offers something unique to a delivery option deprived suburban market. It’s also great that this is a home grown operation. For those of you in Apple Valley, you’d be much better off ordering delivery from Taco Andale than wasting your time trying to battle the long line at the AV Chipotle.

So so so great! Our group took«The Tour of Tacos»(one of each, I just made up that name) and all I can say is TRYEVERYTHING! Try as much as you can stand, because the tacos beyond your normal Ol’ Reliable are impressively delicious. I’m torn between favorites: Buffalo Chicken, Pork Andale, or Beef Andale… I meant to save room for the wings, but alas, stuffed. Looking forward to their upcoming nachos! We will be back!

We’re split on this one. There’s an odd flavor to the ol’ reliable tacos, and it’s uneven from taco to taco. We think it’s some kind of spice, and they’re a little heavy-handed with it. Also, they could drain their meat a little better — there was a lot of grease involved. We want to support a local business, and we’re willing to try them again. I hope it wows us next time.

Everything I’ve ordered here so far has been pretty good. The menu continues to get better as they have been open longer.

Figured I’d give this place a try considering not many places to eat in farm town. I would not recommend this place or go here again. The pork is scary grey fatty looking took one bite about puked. The hamburger tacos are nothing special there small and over priced. Don’t know how these owners thought this food would keep a restaurant open. They won’t last long guaranteed.

We really wanted to like this place. We love Mexican and Farmington could use a place that delivers something other than pizza. Unfortunately the place is horrible. The regular ground beef taco was dry, cold, and bland. The tacos you make at home are vastly superior to what we were served. The Sriracha chicken taco was also cold. Based on the description I assumed it was shredded chicken cooked in a sauce. What I got, however, was chunks of dried out flavorless chicken covered in Sriracha. The beef and blue taco or whatever it was called was actually the best one in terms of flavor, but it too was cold, and to be completely honest, was kind of weird as a taco. Unless they drastically change their menu to include flavor, we won’t bother going back.(Which is actually a shame. We really did want it to be awesome.

My husband and I discussed this rating before deciding to go with a 2. We really don’t give out 2s all that often… But I just didn’t think this was average or better. My husband ordered the pork Andele burrito… The whole burrito was cold and rather flavorless. Further, I tried a bite and was immediately turned off by the fatty meat(though note this is typical with pork belly). I had the black and blue burrito… It was warm and flavor was good but nothing to write home about. And, this burrito too turned me off with the fatty meat(but unlike pork belly, the beef should have been trimmed better). When we were ordering, the gal at the counter made reference to Chipotle, but I just don’t see the comparison. If you like Chipotle, this is not going to give you the same experience. This all said, I really do want this place to succeed because I love the idea of another restaurant in Farmington. But I think the menu is going to have to be revisited… And it could be because they have just opened and need some time to get used to running a restaurant… So we will definitely come back and try again. I am hoping for a different experience so that we can update our review and add some more stars.

Just okay. Good: — The food came out fast. — Guacamole was tasty. Didn’t leave an oniony aftertaste, which I appreciated. — The black and bleu taco filling had a delicious flavor. — The mild and medium salsas were decent. And you could take as much as you needed. — The shell on the burrito bowl was good. Just not the filling. Bad: — The chips were SUPER salty. — The tacos are weird combinations. The fillings can be good, but as a taco they don’t really make sense. — The cheesesteak taco was very bland. — The hot salsa had a gross flavor. — The ol’ reliable burrito bowl was unappetizing. After a few bites, we threw it away. All around, it’s just an okay place. Not worth the price. I won’t be coming back.
