Went back again today and took my sisters, if they weren’t so content I think they would have been angry that they didn’t know the place was there until now! The chili was great, the pizza puff was great, the bagel and sandwiches were great and the brownie/cookie cake was great! The prices are unbelievably cheap I always have to ask again if they got everything and the people working there are the sweetest most genuine people. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out!

This place is a real find. We stopped in for breakfast and could not believe the variety they offered. The interior is beautiful as well with comfy couches with tables and high tops. I had the everyday plate and it came out within 5 minutes(included eggs, amazing multi grain toast and crispy bacon). My husband had the blueberry scone and said it was the best scone he has ever had in his life. Every thing looked so good we ended up taking zucchini bread, cherry turnovers and a pinch and feta puff to go. This is our new go-to place near downtown Farmington for breakfast! Highly recommended.

I’m hesitant to write this review for fear of everyone finding out about this place and ruining what is currently a hidden gem. Then again, that would imply that my opinion holds significant sway within the Unilocal community and frankly, I’m just not that important. So, I’ll give credit where it’s due and this little place has definitely earned at least an Amex Black Card. This unassuming bakery/café is so much more than it appears. A family run outfit, we were greeted warmly and engaged by the cashier, who also happens to be the owners’ daughter. She was both friendly and helpful. We ordered at the counter and then took our seats. The décor is sparse, but there’s plenty to see in the glass cases. Brownies, cakes, and sweets galore, bear claws and bars and pies and MORE! Our food was ready fairly quickly. We had ordered soup and sandwiches and the cashier brought it out in two courses which I thought was a nice touch. The portions here are huge and the quality of the food is awesome! She even brought me an extra brownie bite. Everything was delicious and I had enough for 3 meals. Seriously, I ate it over 3 different meals. This place has such amazing quality food at an unbelievably affordable price. The value here is off the charts. We got two huge sandwiches, two full-sized bowls of soup, two bags of chips, two bottles sodas and a brownie bite for twenty dollars and change. I couldn’t believe it. So much better than Panera and seasoned with love. Conclusion: go here now. I’m certainly going back.

I was lured in by the previous Unilocal posts and pictures– I love regular, no frosting, chocolate fudgey brownies and chocolate cake– so was hoping I would find these at this bakery… So sad to say not so… they were out of 2 soups that I requested(11am Saturday). Placed order for soup and grilled ham/cheese and took a long time to get. About 5 or so minutes into waiting was to, d they were out of soup that I requested. I thought it odd that he asked if I wanted my soup warmed up(to go order) I assumed that if it were fresh made soup it would be warm/hot. BEST ham cheese sandwich I’ve had from a deli like place ever. Didn’t care for the sour cream sauce. Nice thick slices of ham– I added some grainy mustard and it tasted even more delish. Baked potato soup was like a cream potato soup. Stuffed veggie muffin was tasty Good pumpkin cupcake– lil dry Moist yummy brownie bites — would love without frosting Friendly service– the guy threw in some brownie bites and soup issue– I will return as the sandwich was delish and I want to try the breakfast sandwich

The best of what Farmington has to offer. Huge selection homemade by one chef, Dia and her kids Art and Mrika run the front. They are incredibly nice and accommodating. We go here at least twice a week. Love this place! The food is amazing! Best breakfast spot around.

This place is such a hidden gem!!! Today was my second time there(because my first experience there was awesome). I ordered a spinach salad with chicken and the salad was dropped right off to my table by(I believe) the owner’s daughter. She was so genuinely nice and considerate that I almost felt bad for being so spoiled. They are always so hospitable and cheerful that you really see that they appreciate every customer that walks in their door. As for the food, SO fresh, and the chicken on my salad was hot off the grill. The cashier even dropped off a mini pumpkin cupcake to me(also fantastic). This place is two for two in my book, and will definitely become a staple in my workweek. Also, it seems quiet and cozy enough to study there, which is an added bonus because it’s right down the street from me, and my home can be too disastrous to study in at times. Check this place out!

This is a wonderful bakery/restaurant. The Grand Breakfast is delicious including eggs(any way you like them), bacon, potatoes(delicious fruit substitute), the best grilled sourdough toast. The coffee is rich and bottomless cup. The salads are unique and also delicious. The greens crispy and the toppings fresh They also have a variety of frozen drinks(«blast») which are large and a meal in a cup. Great food, great value, relaxed contemporary atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and aim to please. Family friendly too.

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered chicken salad sandwich. It was not even close to what I was expecting. Cubes of chicken, celery and few grapes halved… no mayonnaise to hold it together. I asked for side of mayo but spreading it on the toast didn’t make it taste any better. Asked for my money back and got it, no problem. Nice fella manning the counter. Huge disappointment in the sandwich. Will not be going back any time soon.

Amazing food and customer service! I’ve been in several times to grab breakfast(the bagel sandwiches are amazing!) as well as had catering provided for myself and my bridal party while we were getting ready the day of my wedding. Everything was delivered on time, hot and was delicious. HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking for a great breakfast/lunch :)

Stopped in for bagels and we ended up ordering breakfast and glad we did. I got the Belgian waffle with came with 2 eggs and four slices of applewood bacon for under $ 7. Can’t beat that price and was super tasty. Everyone else got French toast and pancakes all tasty and great portion for low price. Will have to check out again for sure. Smelled amazing inside with the breads cooking.

A cute neighborhood hangout for everyone! Seating is ample, with plenty of booths, lots of tables, and a scattering of comfy chairs. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. The décor is a little sparse, but it used to be a dry cleaning place, so there’s not much to do about that. Also, they have the Food Network playing rather quietly on a single TV, which is oddly helpful for atmosphere and concentration. The sweets are heavenly. They have tons of fresh-baked goodies, ranging from healthy snacks to decadent pastries. The sandwiches are very good, made with fresh Boar’s Head lunchmeat. The blended drinks are made with frozen yogurt and have a much deeper flavor than your average coffee chain. The portions for both drinks and food are great, too – I’ve never felt like I haven’t gotten enough for my money. They don’t have iced tea on hand, but the fresh-brewed iced cups suffice nicely. There aren’t enough outlets for my taste, but this could be easily remedied with the purchase of a few extension cords.

Let’s start by saying the women that took my order was the sweetest. She was filled with positive energy and made me feel very welcomed. As for the bakery it’s self and décor, the place is very welcoming and the sweets on the display case look very appetizing it made it hard to choose! However for the quality of the sweets, they were very delicious and as for someone who has a thing for sweets, it’s satisfied me very much. Always gonna come around

This place is great! Have been here multiple times — between my fiancé and I, we’ve tried different sandwiches, soup, mac & cheese, desserts and everything has been delicious! The service is awesome — the family that owns/runs the place is SO nice!

Downtown Farmington’s «food-scene» is well… face it SAD! I wanted to love this place and bring in the new and exciting. I live close so I’m not only want good food but I want it close to home. It was a good amount of time before they opened the bakery/café. It seemed like the place had a sign up and was under construction for quite a while. This I thought was because this place was doing it right, finally a place to eat in downtown Farmington. Got to be honest, I’ve been here several times. The wife and I visited a couple days after the«grand» opening, and again a week later. We have also stopped in for some baked goods, bread and the like. Yet to be impressed, and hoping it will get better. I want this place to be great, not ok, so bad? I have an open mind when trying a new place, always looking for something new and exciting. I love food and appreciate the hustle. It’s hard to be very good/great in the food business without hard work and talent at the top of your list!!! The build out is very nice. It’s modern sheik, with a touch of traditional. It flows a little odd with the two different entrances! The food displays are nice and full of bread and sweets, all to entice you! The space is open and very communal in feel. So they look legit as if it’s going to be great? So all that leads me to the food and baked goods. The menu sign is so hard to read, refer to the written menu. The first visit the wife and I checked out the place and from the looks we had to try the bread, it looked very good. Well it was very average, we got the baguette and sourdough. Both were a touch dry and didn’t have any distinct flavor that would set it apart. I guess it was ok… The second visit I convinced my wife to try a sandwich. The first issue I have is that the sandwich selection has very little creativity and is just like any other generic sandwich shop around town, example, Dagwoods. I ordered the Reuben and that was a mistake, not only was the sandwich over priced it under delivered. The corned beef was not sliced correctly, it was sliced with the grain of the meat not against? Not that I was expecting some kind of Stage Deli sandwich, but, with that hard to read sandwich board thought it was going to be a sandwich place? Stupid me, the wife had a Jerk chicken sandwich, it was bland and did not deliver. This restaurant/deli/café/bakery, looks the part, but is an imposter. If average is what your looking for this is your place. So sad that average works for most people when it comes to food. This place might do good in spite of just being blah…

Grand Bakery & Café is the best! I come here for the comfortable atmosphere while studying. All the baked goods are delicious and made fresh every day, and the family that owns the place is so sweet!(Way better than a giant chain like Starbucks.) Lots of options including breakfast & lunch, and the bakery has everything from fresh bread to cookies, muffins, cakes & pies. A perfect place for a meeting over coffee, to spend the day studying, or to enjoy the company of friends & family.

I was passing by and having seen this café a few times before I was compelled to stop in a see what they had to offer. At first glance this place looks more like an office building than a storefront for a bakery café but don’t judge it on exterior looks alone. When I walked in it was pretty empty and I was greeted by at least a few employees, there were samples to try, a wall of bread, display cases of refrigerated sweet treats and deli meats, and a second display of baked goods. I shot a few pics for you guys. I ordered some of their chicken noodle soup, their Classic Club sandwich and a loaf of their double rye bread to take home. The soup was like my moms! Chunky veggies and fresh shredded chicken in a hearty broth. It was thick like a stew, the noodles were overdone and it could’ve used a more seasoning and spices but it tasted like a really healthy comforting soup and it made me feel good inside. The club I ordered isn’t what they packed up and sent me away with… instead they had made me their Tasty Italian on baguette with Swiss and all the trimmings. It wasn’t what I ordered but it was fantastic nonetheless. I’d order it again for sure but I was bummed that they botched the order… since the club sounded so good. The double rye was a little on the dry side but sliced and toasted it was really great. It wasn’t a traditional type rye having been made in a loaf pan but it was dense and had a nice crumb and flavor to it. I think this location is new as there were reviews for another address nearby but overall I liked this place. I’m not sure about the baked goods so I’ll be back to update but the soup and sandwich were pretty righteous. All that said the wait for what I ordered was long and then to have them make the wrong sandwich was a happy mistake so I’ll be back for the club but this place is worth a try.
