Modern Tire is great! I’ve had my car for about 10 years now and have had basically no problems with it… Until last week. After having my car break down on me on the highway, it was towed to Modern Tire to see what the problem was. Modern Tire diagnosed a few busted coils, a messed up coolant gauge, and my brakes were shot. After making these repairs, they realized that the entire computer system in my car was burnt out, which was why the other repairs were needed in the first place. Bryan was a huge help and thoroughly explained the process to us, and installed the new computer system at an affordable price. After a few days, I noticed my car vibrating whenever I came to complete stop. I called Bryan and he fit me in very quickly and put in a new engine mount, as well fixed two of my brake lights that I didn’t even know were out! I would recommend Modern Tire to anyone who wants a fair price, honest work, and unbelievable customer service! Thank you Bryan!

This is probably the worst experience I have had with any Car/​Tire shop in my life!
I had scheduled an appointement for having my tires changed, confirmed the appointment in the morning of the service day. I went to drop off the car and the manager Bryan told me that i had to wait 1 and a half to at least 2 hours beyond my scheduled time, so they could start working on my car, just as if it was nothing. I asked the manager to explain what the meaning of a scheduled appointment is, if you can’t get the job done on that time and he just shrugged his shoulders.
I am amazed on how these people continue to do business. Don’t count on getting anything done on the scheduled time with them.
I will NEVER consider them for any kind of work even ith they were the last tire and car shop in Connecticut.

Took my wife’s car in because it was making squealing noises in the front right wheel area when the wheel was turned and even when the car was going straight. The guys at Modern Tire and Auto Service took the car in, took the wheel off, found that a piece by the brake was bent, and they bent it back out to where it should be. They did this all for free, when they clearly didn’t have to and could have charged labor costs and additional fees. After moving here from NY and not knowing a mechanic or decent place to car, I am confident that the guys here will do only what is needed when the time comes and for an affordable price. I need new tires in a couple months for my SUV, and I know where I will be taking it. If you live near Farmington and need some work done on your car, give these guys a chance. You won’t be disappointed!

Very nice establish We purchased our tires from Mike Brandero in the farmington ct location. He offered us excellent customer service when looking for tires, got us the best price and now we are new customers of Modern Tire because of him. Thank you for employing people like Mike that are polite and at the same time know what they are talking about and can explain issues very clearly. Your establishment will be recommend to others!

About as dishonest as they get… Charged triple what comparable services cost at area service shops. (including high cost dealers shop) Not a reputable company!
